  • I will say it AGAIN! Reagan was a puppet Alzheimer meat bag!

  • Reagan, what a tool, a piece of shit Alzheimer Puppet whore of the Corporate Giants.

  • @LordAvoc shut the fuck up asshat

  • @mewirth4 Well you just showed the world that you are an Ass Hat by your remark.

  • Mondale was a true tax and spender in the mold of LBJ.

  • Budget deficit of $273m. chump change compared to today!

  • "Without conservatives or capitalists, socialists would not have anyone to take money from" said Margaret Thatcher.

  • We're paying for the economic policies of Reagan today. Bush2 and to an extent Bush1 continued them and sadly, even the two Democratic administrations that we've had in the last 30 years in one way or another continued his disasterous economic policies

  • @mr19932001 Sadly, you're wrong. The Clinton era paid for the economic policies Reagan put forth. That era was great.

  • @Skabur123 Clinton was no different from Reagan and Bush on trade and regulation. The only thing he did differently was raise taxes on the rich and cut spending, which were good things, but lets not forget that Clinton did sign disaterous free trae agreements like NAFTA and GATT, and he repealed the Glass Stegall act, which was what kept commercial and investent banks from merging; in other words, Glass Stegall prevented banks from becoming too big to fail. Clinton was good, but not great.

  • MONDALE 1984

  • @youpon1000

    MONFAIL HUGEST LOSS EVER

  • When we look back at history we can see a pattern and vicious cycle that we don't learn from. Sure economies won't always be booming but it seems its the same issues and debates for decades. When we hear Regan make speeches about the economy or America's foreign policy we go, 'mmm, that sounds familiar." It seems to me that both parties are just as retarded now than ever. The Republicans are lost and have nothing to really run on or show unity.

  • actual 1989 budget deficit: $152.6 billion.

  • We are teaching people that the federal government will provide everything for them, which is what happened in the carter term and is happening now. And Reagan pointed that out when he was running against carter. Unemployement and welfare was down record lows when reagan was in office. Hard to argue that his system didnt work

  • @abundantsnail Well, America has naturally become a service/retail nation, which doesnt do the hard manual labor it once did. People in America are spoiled brats, who take loans they cant afford and invest in frivilous retail sales venture, to sell and market bullshit investments that fail and get funded by our governments credit card. The remaining people are in a delusional world were money grows on trees and the federal government will never go broke, so they demand entitlements.

  • Ronald Reagan was one the best presidents we have had in the last thirty years, possibly even the 20th century. He did much more than president obama has done and will ever do. Obama has spent more money his first two years than Bush did in his entire 8, including the war in iraq. What obama calls spreading the wealth and giving to people have nothing, I call theft. Why should I pay for someones health care and welfare who doesnt pay taxes or work.

  • Reagan caused the debt to ballon with massive spending to sensless Arms Races and Milltary Spending. He did infact rase taxes- on the common people and cut them for the rich.

  • @youpon1000 Senseless arms race and military spending? It was the combination of upgrading our military forces and letting corporations and other private businesses do what they had to do were the major factors in bringing down Communism.

Then again, you probably live in a world where everyone is a unicorn, and they eat rainbows and poops butterflies.

  • @blackstone777 Nope you live in a world in which your world outlook is determined by Conservative Icons and Cooperate Campaign Ads.. The cost of the arms race almost destroyed this nation as well as the U.S.S.R.

Is it not clear to you that the U.S.S.R was imploding regardless of "Mr . Gorbechev tear down this wall"?

I will make no comment on your silly insults

  • It's not higher taxes that's the problems it's government spending.. Case closed.

  • Its not a matter of Democrat and Republican, its a matter of Satanists and the People.

  • god, reagan says the dumbest bullshit

  • @MarxIsDead yeah but now companies are sucking so much money out of us with their self regulation policies... I think this is retarded.

  • @pxndx6969 How does the ability for a business to "self-regulate" suck money from taxpayers? Please elaborate.

  • @abola2121 another reason why "success" meant success for his companies and the rich, not for the middle-class and the lower class. What happened to the Fairness Doctrine? What happened to the Fin-Syn Rules? Self-regulation means manipulation and inequality in the business industry.

  • I miss Ronald Reagan.

    He was truly great.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • president Regan a great man

  • @Marxisdead - cute name....and you're being dishonest in how you present history....he cut taxes the first time around but actually raised them in subsequent budgets. Reagan's economic team knew trickle-down wouldn't work -- David Stockman said so openly, but they advocated it as they knew it would result in rising debt levels and assumed it would force Congress to cut social programs. Read "The Education of David Stockman." Reagan was a fool. Listen to him dismiss the CBO. Classic dissembling.

  • Reagan seemed to be very nervous and anxious here

  • 1:08 "where am I?" LOL

  • Comment removed

  • He won 49 States that election - Biggest landside in history

  • @thomasandtanga If you count states. By portion of popular vote, it wasn't that impressive. Lyndon Johnson in 64 was the biggest ever.

  • @thomasandtanga What about the popular vote? Oh wait that's right. It's all about the electoral college (reagan supported electoral to the death). The popular vote doesn't matter at all, so when you think to yourself that your vote doesnt matter, your right, it doesnt matter.

  • Democrats winning in government is like a monkey driving a car: no one knows how it got it, it cant use it properly, but try taking it away and they will fight to the end ! watch my vids

  • Diane Sawyer was smoking hot back then!

  • To all,

I have made comments in the past about Repubs and Demos. I realize now that they might have been somewhat ignorant comments. In truth, I am tired of the labeling. There is no such thing as a Republican or Democrat. They are just labels for the angry or weak/lazy - minded. Quit stereotyping and worry about your actions first. There will always be people whom we do not like no matter which group they want to be considered in. Don't be part of that sheeple group mentality.

  • Mondale didn't stand a chance. I wonder if he knew that?

  • @LedWilde

Mondale did know he didn't stand a chance. But heck he gave it a good shot and lost with dignity unlike Gore and Kerry and their supporters.

  • @Mage13246 You are right. Gore definitely didn't lose with dignity either. Has been nasty since 2000 too because hardcore liberals (politicians and supporters) started their conservative bashing/propaganda campaign the second Bush won. Still very prodominate in today's society. 2004 Kerry's only strategy was "Bush is bad! Vote for me!" Didn't work but it's what most Democrats are running on now. Which is probably an even worse strategy now because Bush has been out of office nearly 2 years now.

  • @LedWilde Because he (Gore) didn't lose.

  • @peasantsoul I don't buy the whole "Bush stole the election" thing. It was a really close election and Gore wanted recounts, still lost, so dems started spreading, "Bush stole the election!" I'm not defending Bush though nor did I really care for him either. But not buying it. Unless you or somebody can prove it?

  • @LedWilde George Bush's brother Jeb Bush, the governor or Florida at the time, stole Florida for Bush in 2000. This largely happened before the election, by illegally removing potential Democratic (read: black) voters from the voter registration lists. I forget the exact name of the company, but it was something like Datasys or Datadyne voting machines that were rigged for Bush. Check out Greg Palast's expose on the topic.

  • @LedWilde Gore wanted a recount because Katherine Harris, Florida State Secretary (employee of Jeb Bush) and a member of the Bush campaign team, decided that she would stop the count when Bush was up by just over 500 votes, even though there were thousands of votes left to count. If you were running for office and your opponent pulled some shit like that, damn right you would want a recount, and of the whole state, which is what Gore was trying to get.

  • @LedWilde Look it up on youtube

  • I didn't know back then how big of a slut Barbara Walters was. I actually respected her, but all these years later I think she is a joke.

  • Wow... Diane Sawyer looked good back then... haha.

  • @Neverpiefly She was always a good looking one. Unlike Barbra imo.

  • Large deficits were created by Reagan's HUGE defense spending -- and his trickle-down economic policies favoring the rich. And Bush's disastrous policies (leading to the Great Recession) were modeled after those of Reagan.

  • @marcostar57 Our family was a middle-class and we did quite well under Reagan. Most of my friend and their families also did very well under Reagan and none of them were considered 'rich'. Those who were looking for free handouts hated Reagan. Were you one of them? Expecting the government to coddle you?

  • @4JayeP Before Raygun began his methodical destuction of the middle-class ONE wage-earner could support a family .... hmm now 30 years later even TWO wage earners struggle to make ends meet. Ronnie was a great front-man for greedy Wall-Street! And the '80's was the decade of "greed is good!" (maybe you were too tiny to remember this..)

  • @marcostar57 I graduated high school in 1987. Destruction (not destuction) of the middle class? Really? Let's see, when Carter was in office and interest rates were about 20% we couldn't afford to buy a home. Under Reagan we owned 4 houses. One primary and 3 rentals. How is that destruction of the middle class? If you worked hard and spent your money wisely you did well under Reagan. If you were expecting free handouts you were punished.

  • @marcostar57:

No, those deficits were created by a Democratic controlled Congress that refused to quit increasing spending on their social programs.

  • @bildo0162 Sorry.. that's revionist history. Reagan had a Republican Senate for much of his terms; Reagan signed each budget into law..he could have used his veto but didn't. He greatly increaed defense spending & cut-taxes. But I know ..you Reagan lovers always blame the evil Dems for his deficits.

  • @marcostar57 Yes for 6 years Republicans controlled the Senate under Reagan. However, they never controlled the House and it takes both for a president to get legislation passed. But, for two years it was possible for Democracts, who at that point controlled both the House and Senate, put into law issues that the president vetoes by having a 2/3 vote on said issue. By the way, the deficits existed before and after him and have for many years due to the Dems worship of Keynesian Economics.

  • when reagan was re-elected un-employment had gone up from when he first took office. Its hard to understand how he was re-elected, but its what the people want.

  • @govjohnbrown

Actually unemployment went beneath 6% when he took office for a 2nd term.

For the first 3yrs of his presidency unemployment rose to 8% because of the recession that Carter had created with the Democratically controlled Senate and congress. It took Reagan to get his economic plan through.

  • @govjohnbrown

Typo: It took Reagan a while to get his economic plan through.

  • barbara walters is a snatch that needs to be in the kitchen making cookies

  • the budget was 'blown out' because dems had a strangle hold on congress. if reagan wanted his economic and military initiatives, he had to give the dems what they wanted.(gov't waste and dependancy programs).

  • i guess the all the jobs that were being created and renewal of american pride kinda helped. i guess when reagan won 49 outta 50 states kinda cemented the policies of the president.

  • It seems Reagan was more a favorite of the people type President. His popularity was HUGE. Nobody really cared that the Budget had blown out did they?

  • Oh I think people cared, but he had so many things going for him I think it really helped. He hleped build the economy so much, created tons of jobs, was fighting the Cold War, and so many other things that I think people were a little more willing to see the Budget blow out.

  • where was the REAL President....Nancy?

  • @kangaroosbraun You really fail and should be killed for treason for those words. Reagan isn't FDR, Reagan was the President. During the FDR years eleanor told FDR what to do or she wouldnt carry him or cover for his ass

  • mondale is a bro

  • We 20%+ inflation because of Carter, he threw out oil and housing prices to dishonesty make the CPI look btter. Reagan a damn mess.

  • carter did not cause inflation, lol just because an economic incident happens during a presidency does not make it that presidents fault.

  • @SupermansDead93

Actually if it happened during the 4yrs it's the president's fault for not preventing it. So obviously Carter did intentionally screw us into a recession during his presidency because of all the useless government spending on useless government programs, and high taxes, and energy taxes.

  • Wow Dorothy Ridings! NO bias whatsoever there. I wonder who the League of Women Voters supports! What a disgusting display

  • diane sawyer was hot

  • dude, that was barbara walters!! i think u know that, think u were sarcastic, lol

  • no goofball the chick at the table in red not barbra....rofl

  • There is a great new bio (Charlton Heston: An Incredible Life: Revised Edition) at amazon! Bio discusses Heston's mutual friendship with Ronald Reagan!

  • Yeah, how about Obama's deficit? Not even close, bud...

  • When Reagan took office in 1980, federal tax revenues totaled $956 billion. In 1989, the federal government took in $1.213 trillion. Thats an increase of $257 billion dollars over his presidency, with an average increase of $29 billion per year. His tax cuts were not the problem, because they increased federal revenue as he predicted. It was congress (House controlled by Democrats) that spent us into the huge deficits that we saw in the 80s. Reagan nailed it.

  • @MarxIsDead You drank the all Ronnie Reagan sweet kool-aid ..gulp..gulp..

  • @marcostar57

There wasn't any kool-aid left when Ronnie came into office, it was all dumped out because it kept people ignorant to other good tasting products such as chocolate milk, regular milk, orange juice etc. When Obama came to the podium the pitcher was refilled and everyone came and jumped on the ban-wagon known as "FREE HEALTHCARE" as it also said on the Kool-Aid Pitcher.

  • @MarxIsDead That is what liberals do not understand. If you decrease taxes on businesses, they will grow exponentially and ultimately pay more taxes and thus increase the revenue to the government. Yes there will be economic downturns as there is with any market, but liberals seem to want to take any economic dive as a reason to embrace socialism, which is the cause of the current worldwide economic collapse.

  • @Kiravak your absolutely right it is not the percentage of the pie that counts its the size of the pie and cutting taxes always results in a bigger pie.

  • @Kiravak uh right that's why right now taxes are LOWEST in 50 years, corporate taxes, lowest ever...where's the boom? Private sector is sitting on 2 trillion dollars, wont invest it, this trickle down nonsense didn't work during President Alzheimer's administration and Bill Clinton got us out of that recession, created a massive surplus, 4.6% unemployment, and of course Bush screwed following reagans policies again

  • @MarxIsDead

I think the military build up actually did that. Yes the Demorats signed off and approved, but the military spending really sent debt up. Not saying it was wrong, but it cost a lot.

  • @Adrastos64

But the debt went down by over $400billion, that was from the tax cuts that he proposed and the cuts in unecessary government spending.

  • @MarxIsDead you are absolutely incorrect. To whit, his prediction of increased federal revenue would not come from counting on an adversarial congress, that doesn't even make sense. Reagan's cut-taxes-yet-spend-money plan got us into the increase in federal revenues. He expanded the federal government, particularly the military, to the point of deficit. Under Reagan, more military bases were built world wide; under Reagan, we sold weapons to rogue anti-Soviet Arab factions.

  • @MarxIsDead Another "revenue generator" came from his reversal of President Carter's Mental Health Bill of 1980. Reagan basically shut down the public/state hospitals--particularly mental health patients, increased homelessness, and thus reduced public sector service positions. This massive slash in public funded infrastructure didn't save us money; it all went to military spending. The irony of the military spending?

  • @peasantsoul, It would be disingenuous to praise everything Reagan did. He made some mistakes during his presidency. For instance, he should have done more to stop AIDS. A global pandemic emerged under his watch, and Reagan missed it. I don't believe he was derelict, but I do believe his failure to recognize its pandemic capacity, and thus demand action was a profound error. His economic reforms were his greatest achievement, and AIDS was arguably his greatest failure.

  • @MarxIsDead Communism fell not because of the "Tear this Wall Down" speech. The wall "fell" because under Reagan we increased the number of American consumer exports to Communist countries--particularly Russia and its Soviet states. And whatever military consequence you believe he enacted doesn't square with the actual events. He used tax payer dollars to fund "Charlie Wilson's War" and let rouge Arab factions--Taliban members--fight with our weapons against the Soviets.

  • @MarxIsDead It's a cliche of feudalism: the elite (Reaganomic adherents) enlist the peasants(rouge Arab factions) to do their dirty work.

    Thanks for reading,

    Karl Marx is not Dead

  • @MarxIsDead Wrong wrong wrong. Low inflation BY ITSELF would cause an increase in federal revenues over eight years. Federal revenue, with rare exception, always increases over time. There is not a shred of evidence that Reagan's tax cuts contributed larger sums of revenue. This is supply-side theology, and it also misses the larger point: Reagan did nothing to cut the budget, and as a result of lost potential revenue, the national debt of our country tripled in only eight years.

  • @jumpoutatree, Just a thought: Higher taxes = higher inflation. Taxes are historically progressive and imposed on the wealthy and on business. Because of the latter, the cost of goods and services increases. Businesses NEVER pay income taxes. They ALWAYS pass the tax burden on to the consumer through higher prices, effectively creating an "Inflation tax." So, even if low inflation was the underlying cause of higher revenues, it was Reagan's tax policy that suppressed inflation.

  • The rate of taxation has nothing to do with inflation. The money supply is unaffected by taxes, because the govt spends it right back and then some. Actually higher taxes probably helps keep inflation down if the govt (like Clinton) uses the revenues to pay down debt. It is not true that businesses always pass the tax burden to the consumer, especially in a competitive marketplace with a product for which demand is highly elastic. Paul Volcker killed inflation with sharp Fed interest rates.

  • @MarxIsDead You also have to look at inflation, and you have to also look at Reagan's failed promises at reducing government. Although he is the model, even he was forced to act as a democrat as Clinton was forced to act as a Republican based on the chambers of congress. If you look at the jobs created under Reagan and the taxes collected from those jobs, you will see a net gain over the increase of govt. Sadly most deem Reagans Education Dept as a failure and it should be diminished.

  • the point is, that we must have a net growth of revenue from the increase of the economy as opposed to increased revenue simply from raising taxes on the populace.

  • @Kiravak, Actually I agree with you on the growth of government under Reagan. While I do view him as a hero, I can't say that he was perfect. I wish he had done more to curb the growth of government. Had Reagan not invested in defense to the extent that he did, the world would be a very different place today. Though I don't believe his defense spending was necessarily wrong, I do believe he should have done more to reduce spending in other areas of government that were not defense-related.

  • @MarxIsDead You also fail to consider the fact that Reagan raised taxes in '82, '83, and '86. The '86 tax increase was enormously unpopular because it was aimed at the middle class and small businesses. The reason Reagan raised taxes is because he realized that huge deficits were looming as a result of his '81 tax cut. I think Reagan was a good President, but I don't buy into the whole series of right-wing myths about the man. He campaigned on the right but he governed as a moderate.

  • @MarxIsDead Not to mention, more income for people means more taxes, the theory of trickle down economics.

  • @MarxIsDead WTF ARE TALKING ABOUT -_- The CONSERVATIVES and REAGAN increased the national debt from 997 billion to 3 TRILLION DOLLARS, he made sure liberal and progressive programs would not grow or suceed by bankrupting our country. MAYBE his supply side eonomics would have worked if he did not increase government spending so damn much.

  • Wow, I love when people purposely look dumb LOL

...You were doing that on purpose, right?

  • Reagan & actor Robert Taylor fought off the communists in Hollywood after WWII when they were trying to take over the Hollywood unions.

  • What a wonderful play staging a debate.

  • Dang! Diane Sawyer was looking good!

  • at 4:07 "do you have a secret plan to balance the budget?"

Is this where the West Wing episode with the "secret plan to fight inflation" was inspired from, or were their earlier examples of "secret plans" alluded to in the media and commentary?

  • There was Nixon's "secret plan" to get out of Vietnam in the 1968 election.

  • @elperromagico

Wasn't really a secret when the liberal congress cut the spending.

  • @elperromagico

Funding, excuse my poor choice of words >.>

  • Need interesting facts about Reagan? Want info that defeats all liberal myths about Reagan? albertsamerica(DOT)wordpress(DOT)com is the place to go!

  • Holy crap Barbra Walters has always been an annoying bitch.

  • @raybecraft true that brother

  • what the hell is up with the ron paul supporters. he gots no chance. his policys are horrible. ronald reagan is the greasted president ever. you would have to be stupid not to believe that.

  • Ron Paul is a complete nutter.

He is supposedly a free market small gov guy but he has not successfully reduced government size once, nor has he passed any real reform.

He is a big time earmark feeder, sympathizes with antisemitic conspiracy theories, and takes money from white supremacists.

  • A fairness doctrine will be imposed once more centrists and righties strike back at the lefty loons of liberal land. Leftists can't stand people talking back at them, they are not used to it. Watch out, your demon congressperson will be coming after the internet next.

  • Politicians period should not be trusted. Mondale would not have done any better and you all know it. Both demons and repubfatcats tax you and spend on pet projects.

By the way, the demon supporters anymore are socialist hotheads who do most of the bashing and again, you all know it. I am bashing back at you demon hotheads, at least I am not running to my congressperson to impose a fairness doctrine because FOX news and talk radio are so unfair. You libbys bash through ALL other media outlets.

  • @bucinaus

Republicans....they maybe one in the same, but you know there are real Republicans known as Conservatives such as Ronald Wilson Reagan.

  • @bucinaus

Also Republicans have always been known to love rich people so much because they want to keep taxes low.....but even so......Rich People are as liberal as they come. Anways, it's rich people that give you your job, not the poor.

  • Fuck Barbara Walters. Journalists are usually assholes anyway. Like politicians, the less, the better. I hope all newspapers go out of business, however Obama will use your children's money to bail them out, too. Remember he has to give back the favors to all who helped him get elected.

  • sounds like you voted for Obama?

  • Go Reagan!

  • lol at the comments on this vid. Clearly made by far left loons who are pissed reagan won this election by a landslide.

Dont be so angry. You now have someone in Obama who is at least as incompetant or worse that Jimmy Carter.

  • Mondale would have been an awesome president.

  • Go Reagan!

  • Never worked and never will. Republicans always talk about small government but they always expand it and in the mean time they always create recort deficits. But yet people continue to site Reaganomics as economic success. This video shows you he fucked up and now is using jargin to confuse people.

  • yeah and dont forget how republicans always promise to cut taxes and never do.

reagan taxed the shit out of us -1986 tax reform act

daddy "W' - taxed the shit out of us even more 1990.

Fuck republicans and their LYING ways.

  • @666bushisnazi666

You claim that but why is it that Republicans are always picked on for only helping rich people? Tax Cuts is the reason....

So by logic your conspiracies are 180 degrees from true.

  • @Mage13246

What conspiracy, dumbass? Ronald Raygoon is the highest taxing President during peacetime in our nations history. Sure he cut taxes for his rich friends but what about us people at the bottom that are living paycheck to paycheck? we got the bill for his corporate welfare. TEFRA 1982 is the biggest tax hike since WW2. Raygoon never submitted a balanced budget. "Ronald Raygone proved deficits don't' matter" - Tricky Dick Cheney. All irrefutable facts my lame brain friend.

  • @666bushisnazi666 You are such an ignorant know nothing boy. Who ran the ways and means comities during the eighties? who ran EVERY appropriations committee during the eighties? They were all completely controlled by democrats. Every bill drafted which became a new tax law was created in democrat run comities. Your just a boy who doesn't understand how things work. Little wonder life has ass fucked into an angry little 666 boy

  • The biggest win in us presidential elections history.

  • Mr 'voodoo' economics.

  • It seems there are people on here that are not understanding what Reagan is saying in this speech. His bail out failed, and is causing massive inflation. In other words oooops.

  • Ron Paul is a constitutionalist. He believes in less government, and you try to say Reagan did even though Reagan created our massive, and corrupt government we have today? It seems the redneck from texas needs to get out more, or just do some research. Reagan deregulation? Now that is just crazy talk. Then why didn't he do it? Why were we bailing out banks, so they can build ball parks? Obama is the closest thing we have had to Reagan in a long time. Thats not good. Listen to Reagans words?

  • In fact, if George W. Bush inc. had not lost 2.3 trillion dollars on september 10, 2001. Yes, one day before 9/11...., We would not have had to borrow money from anyone. We didn't even have a surplus of 2.3 trillion to lose. That meens we had to borrow money to "misplace" as dumbsfield said. Starts to sound like a hidden agenda after a little while. Thats because it is. It is called wreck the dollar, and save the people. "Look see what I did, I helped you save your country," says barrak obama.

  • I love how people always like to act like they inherited inflation when they were printing the new money. Government spending does not cause inflation unless you spend what you don't have. When you print to pay back you cause the inflation we see today. In fact, Reagan was the worst until Obama came around. He put to much money in the pockets of big business, and it didn't pay off. Trickle down into their deep pockets is all that happened. Now obama takes from the book of Reagan. Vote Ron Paul

  • biggydog0099: You're a Ron Paul supporter. Ron Paul is very Libertarian, albeit officially Republican. Reagan was the closest freaking thing to a Libertarian to EVER succeed, and you insult him? I don't get it, aren't you Libertarians for deregulation?

  • Well to be fair by the end of his first term inflation had been droping.

  • "A country that doesn't have gold or silver based currency will not be a country for very long," Ronald Reagan

He is one of many presidents that knew this, and did nothing at the same time. Look at what happened to Kennedy when he tried. Hell they even trie to kill Reagan twice. These days you can't even talk about the CFR. You will be escorted out of any building. If you are a leader you will be killed. Our first amendment right only works when media will do their jobs. It's a shame theydont

  • The true kings of inflation are Republicans. Reagan was the worst until Obama came around. 3.6 trill new dollars already, WOW! Anybody that owned a small business in '83 got there ass handed to them "including my father." There is no idea in the stupid democrats delusional brains how bad this 3.6 trillion dollars is going to inflate our dollar. I used to hate Reagan until I learned why he did what he did. He patched a wound, but thats not possible now. Reagan warned what the CFR would do to us.

  • Psshh...whatever happened to the Republican party? Oh yeah it was Bush!!

  • @argentozombi

bush didn't destroy the GOP, the Republicans in Congress and the Senate destroyed the GOP by shoving themselves away from their label. They started using smear tactics as liberals did to bush in 06-08. In 06 Bsh started giving the liberals everything they wanted and he was still being torn to pieces through the media.

The renewal of the GOP starts in the midterm elections of 2010.

  • Yeah, Barney Frank runs the country..LOL

He would see "W" in the hallway, beat him up and take his lunch money.

    What pussbaits you Republicans are.

"W" should've taken his story to the media if Barney Frank was "stopping him" from intervening.

  • @Atomsmasher777

Republicans are pussbats? "I am Obama and I will run from Iraq because I don't want to be hated".

"I am FDR, because of me ignoring the problems going on in europe and Asia, we were blind sighted at Pearl Harbor"

"High I am Bill Clinton and I three times refused to take Osama Bin Laden into custody because I was afraid America would be 'hated'", and chose to cut intelligence and military spending by 30% to make us not look like a threat."

    (2001 9/11 happens).

  • @Mage13246 Oh you forgot some... how about "I am Bush and I will ignore Clinton's warnings and not hold any high-level meetings on terrorism, and then take the longest vacation in presidential history in August, when I get my PDP warning of an attack by Bin Laden, I'll tap the FBI agent on the ass and say "OK you've covered you're ass you can go" then I'll continue clearing brush at my "ranch." Then 9-11 happens and 3,000 people DIE

  • @Atomsmasher777

Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. actually had the balls to stand up to our enemies! Saddam kept shooting at our plains, and murdering his own people. Bush takes out Saddam, and yes we found 15 metric tons of Yellow Cake Uranium, and Mustard and Sarin nerve agents.

  • Your facts are incorrect. It was Reagan that deregulated the Savings and Loans.

You can't even get your facts straight. No wonder our nation is ruined.

  • Yeah and it worked at the time, guess who else supported that? You buddy kennedy the drunk murderer. You liberals really should get out more.

  • @Atomsmasher777

Actually Clinton allowed low income families to take out high risk loans and buy houses they couldn't normally afford. Give me any amount of proof that Reagan did any of that.

The only thing Reagan did was slow the grwoth of government by cutting taxes, and useless government spending on programs such as "free health care", welfare, and so on.

Start doing some research, don't look for anything to fit ur views.

  • At the end of Reagan's 2nd term the Savings and Loans defaulted costing taxpayers over $600 Billion.

This is what I'm talking about when I say Republican voters are so stupid it's funny.

It happened again with "W", yet you still worship this dead idiot, as if he was different.

  • Your facts are incorrect. First , the Savings and Loans Crisis had already began under Jim Carters (Democrat) administration. He was the person who lifted the caps on the S&Ls. It was also a Bipartisan decision to allow the S&L's to become "more competitive" since they where losing money. It was not a Reagan idea. Furthermore, Carter and then Clinton lowered the mortgage standards to the point where you find them today. They also made it near illegal to not give a first time home buyer a loan.

  • Also, the current issue began with Carter thanks to the Community Reinvestment Act. The CRA stated that banks must meet the lending needs of ALL those in their community. In other words, banks HAD to give mortgages to individuals that would of initially been deemed to risky. When W was in office he actually tried to review the standards (there is also a video on youtube of McCain discussing the need to review the risky loans as well). It was Barney Frank and other Democrats who stopped it.

  • The Contras fought a tyranical communist gov't, admiring them isn't a crime. You taking up valuable oxygen on this earth is the real crime.

  • Hold up a minute, the contras used to target health care clinics and health care workers for assassination. They would kidnap, torture and execute civilians; including children who were captured in combat. They also used to rape women and indiscriminately attack civilians and civilian houses by seizing and burning them to the ground. Reagan must have been fucked in the head to admire such monsters.

  • Your statement is absolutely false. The Contras may not have been angels but they did not do the things you say. Please bring your leftist propaganda to the dailykos website. No fact checking there.

  • OK declassified documents in your head? I'll stop watching FOX News when you stop freebasing crack. Reagan was not a monster. Get a fucking clue.

  • You would be able to research the information on the web, if you wasn't so full of shit. Admit it that Reagan needlessly caused the suffering of thousands of people across all of Central amerika

  • "if you wasn't" now I know you're an uneducated Democrat who learned to write in our great "pubik skhuls". Nice job you should sue you high school for fraud and neglect.

  • "you should sue you high school", way to go ignoramus. You've just illustrated your waning intellectual high ground.

  • You're a moron. Nice spelling by the way. "Central amerika "

  • Free market ideology is so terrible that the Chinese have adopted it! They saw how well their state property ideology was working and they didin't want progress so they switched to a "disastrous" free market ideology

  • The free market idea does have short term gains but long term it's been proven to be self-destructive. You've only got to look at the present day economic woes to see what happens when there is not enough regulation.

  • we are only in this mess because of government regulation

  • Hold up, this whole recession/credit-crunch is a result of the lack of regulation.

  • False. Government REGULATION has led to this. not the 'de-regulation' which the democrats would love you to believe.

  • Isn't it funny that someone had to give you a thumbs down? People cannot handle facts which make them mad. When people deny facts, you can't win.

  • I'm not particularly disturbed by the thumbs down on youtube. Do many kids on here who know nothing. Reagan is a symbol of American values. And that's why he won in a landslide. People believed in him a 1000 times more than Obama.

  • @AnthonyFamiglietti

If Reagan were here he'd say to Obama "Shut up" or "There you go again".

  • And in addition to my previous statement. Obama had a race and a party behind him which led to his inauguration. And that's good for him. But Reagan had a country behind him. Something you'll rarely see in American history.

  • I am an economist, the Free-Market did not bring about this crisis. It was the Federal Reserve, by making credit too cheap for too long basically ushered in this era. Imagine if it never did that? The Free Market would be near perfect equalibrium. Ben Bernanke also gave Milton Friedman the answer of saying: Yes we did cause the Great Depression, not Wall Street All the Fed had to do was buy securities from the Treasury and the depression would have never happened, instead FDR made a welfare stat
