@luneth34 Well yeah, the voices will be in japanese. But there are scenes that are voiced in the original version that aren't in the english one, even on the japanese track. Like the entire opening sequence up until when you meet with Cocona, or the ending parts when you meet the last boss...

i have beaten raki once. all you do is when replakia is ready you do that first thing, but you have to have 60+ IPD's though and when that has gotten over 1000000 or so use that song right away and you should beat her. oh and have the overturner item also

another way is have both of the blue songs use one then start fighting then use the the other blue song u should have frozen the time gauge. i got this on gamefaqs

The only way I was able to get through it was by defeating Raki before 3-1.. it was a real pain though, and I'm sure there are easier ways of getting past it.

I beat her without the patch.

I had 47 IPDs and I was level 57 with Amarie and Cocana as my vanguards and Jacqli and Cloche as my Revs. Just have to use Replika on the 3rd turn.

you can beat her in 1 turn just use BOTION on her (deals 9999 damage)

.... You need to deal (half her health) worth of damage just to make her not use the attack. This value, which is 40 000 to begin with, is increased by a factor of 1.2 every time you beat her. You could use Botions, if they actually do 9999 damage, but that would require at least 5 in the first battle alone. Out of fifteen.

There have been a few bypasses for this battle, though you still have to fight. The first is dealing at least half her HP in damage (40k initially) before the kill attack (she'll burn a Phase with X: Side Slicer instead), and the second is an exploit in the way the game handles switching of Blue Magic - by switching continuously, it's possible to kill her in a single Phase. And of course, there's the aforementioned patch, but you'll need an emulator (PS3 doesn't count) or hack into your PS2.

To those not aware of how this glitch came about:

The attack which causes this freeze was originally meant to bar Synchronization. However, due to the length of the string of text that the translation department put in which notes that the jamming is occuring, it causes a buffer overload, killing the game.

The actual time she uses the kill attack is variable. Sometimes she uses it on the second phase, sometimes the fourth. I assume it's around the sixth attack she does this.

So, this is the glitch I heard about, eh? That's quite a bad glitch but it teaches me something: This teaches me that if I want to fight and win this battle, then I'll have to level up ALOT and use hardcore strategies that can end the fight in two turns. That's quite an ordeal actually. I feel a challenge coming about lol.

She gets stronger each time you beat her, and to get all the CGs, you need to beat her 15 times. I believe the current 'victory' count is 8 or 9 before it becomes too difficult to do.

Is that so? That's perfect for me because I prefer to fight opponents that get stronger everytime, not to sound overconfident or anything. That's just how I am with RPG games. And once I reach my limit, then I go keep training until I defeat her completely. And of course, with the 2-turn kill challenge, that makes it even more interesting.

No no, she does it on the third defense phase. So at most you get three turns. Killing her on three turns is hard enough. You might be able to accomplish 11 kills with 4 turns. There's a challenge, and then there's just downright masochism. You're going the route of Nethack players, now.

The solution i use was Cloche's Replakia with Jacqli's Lv.3 My Slave song tree, Jacqli ROBO,i think. it was about 400k Dmg.

In total they are 3 Raki battles with the 1st two being required this battle via this video is the 3rd battle.

3 mandatory Raki battles, actually. the 1st is the Replekia tutorial, 2nd at the end of phase 4, and 3rd at the end of phase 5. it has a chance to freeze during the 3rd mandatory battle, or the optional battles that you can do afterwards.

its not the ONLY time I had the game freeze up at random sometimes during a random battles.

But I had that happen even without using Relika at all ie I had it happen even in the middle of a physical hit or after a attack spell finished all of its total hits.

You can still beat the game, but you need to kill this boss in three turns(before  the third defense phase)....or else the game freeze
