I have only liked 10 videos on youtube, something about the like button on facebook and everyone reply to anything you say being "Like" has made me dispise it. On the other hand this is video 11 on my like list. It has a ton of flaws with acting, camera work, sound, story issues; but it also has something that caught me. Maybe the concept more then anything, that snag of originality you put into a simple cliche story. The middle dinner and ending made my day.

wow! such good acting from both actors. Interesting, real, vulnerable - just perfect. If you guys (actors, director, crew etc) turned the production up a notch now e.g. - hire/borrow a d.p to shoot on a better camera, get a good sound man and just get a little higher production value so your films look totally profesh - tight edit, good colour grade too (all very achievable with final cut and a knowledgeable off/online editor) then you'll be 'up there'. What u already have 'can't' be bought.

OK...Where to begin. On a whole, it was adequate: the camera work was sub par at times, the direction was OK. Positives: The acting was quite strong, as was the dialogue - at times. There were however some very good lines and the connection between the leads was believable. Kudos there. The ending...superb. Adorable, well-written tale. You should all be very proud of yourselves.

....hmm.... you'll have a better chance if you get people to sit down and watch it in front of you. You'll see in their expressions where it gets too slow and where the acting is too bad. You can edit those parts out. You'd do well to re-cut it anyway because right now the actors faces are stretched horizontally. Good luck with Cannes!

It's a very cute story. And I like the photography, the spectator is very comfortable with the hot colors. But very very sad the end.
