Strikeforce will bend bc they need credibilty, they only have like 2 or 3 top ten guys in all divisions combined and need more.

He is ranked, as is carwin but I see rogers being a flash in the pan alexander houston/soakajew (sp) style. Big power, destroys a few guys but can't stay top ten do to not having anything that resembles a groundgame. He has said he didn't started wrestling or submission grappling until a few years ago. Carwin and Cain on the other hand have decades of wrestling under their belts and striking also. I'd bet both of them will be in the top ten long after rogers gets 4-20 sub losses on his record.

I love both boxing and MMA but I really do see the sport of boxing losing it's mainstream appeal over here in the US. It's a great sport but it's ruined by horrible promotion, corruption, and some lousy logistics.

Love him, hate him, say what you want about him, there is no arguing the fact that Dana White is the primary reason why the UFC is where it is today. Of course yes, the fighters are another primary source to the success, but the fights never would have happened without Dana doing what he does behind the scenes. I have a funny feeling he is going to prove all the haters out there wrong one day.

Now the tables have turned you bloated steroid abuser. Showtime is kicking HBO's ass for both programming and boxing. The super six tournament is the most relevant and anticipated boxing aside from when fairyweather/paco fight, HBO has lost Sopranos, while showtime has picked up Weeds and Dexter.

He is ranked, as is carwin but I see rogers being a flash in the pan alexander houston/soakajew (sp) style. Big power, destroys a few guys but can't stay top ten do to not having anything that resembles a groundgame. He has said he didn't started wrestling or submission grappling until a few years ago. Carwin and Cain on the other hand have decades of wrestling under their belts and striking also. I'd bet both of them will be in the top ten long after rogers gets 4-20 sub losses on his record.

jsg103: Well said. Grappling skill is so incredibly important to have and from what we can tell of Rogers he doesn't have much of it. I see him fighting Fedor as pointless. Yeah sure he can land one big haymaker and knock anyone out since he is a big powerful guy but realistically the odds are stacked against him. Most likely the fight will go to the ground after a minute or two and there he will quickly get dominated and subbed. Would rather have seen Fedor fight Werdum.

I agree, other than werdum coming in overweight against jds after eating thousands of big macs, he's still a great fighter. I guess we can only hope fedor will pull out something flashly, perhaps beat rogers with a mounted gogoplata or something fun. lol. The most attractive bouts to me at the moment because of styles would be lesnar, carwin or overeem.
