The FCAT is good for the state of florida...I have been going to college in a state where there isnt an FCAT type test and you should see how ignorant even the people in college are so imagine how bad off the folks with a GED are here... needless to say semi skilled labor jobs have the worst service in a place where you dont have a legit FCAT type test.

I never had a class that "taught the test" as I was enrolled in honor classes and I always scored above average on the FCAT. My school was an B school, the only people holding us down were the inner city kids. No need to study for this test... it's freshman algebra and geometry. Have a brain? You'll do fine on this exam. I apologize for your learning environment/aptitude if you failed this exam.

By reading it, it sounds like you're putting down a group of kids who (to unfortunate situations, [in some cases]) may have a little trouble passing the test. I was in honors classes too and I passed the test the first time. The PURPOSE of this video is just motivate kids to do well on the test. You may not have needed to study but that does not mean other people don't. Some people aren't really good test takers and need to be motivated.

@whitleye My apology, it's a general question as to why anyone takes the FCAT seriously and teachers PUSH it on classes. I can remember that the only 'class' I would hear FCAT, FCAT, FCAT, FCAT, FCAT would be my homeroom, and luckily, I avoided that as well by being on my high school's morning show. No harm meant it's just a really easy test and I don't understand why schools orient an entire curriculum towards this really easy exam. Yes, it is unfortunate when someone cannot pass.

I see what you mean. But the FCAT isn't like the SAT or ACT. You need to PASS the FCAT in order to graduate so that's the reason why teachers and schools, I guess, emphasize it so much. It is important that since it is a graduation requirement, that they so find time in the curriculum to review or whatnot.
