IS there any succes for short strory writing? and how does it differ from a full lenght story. Are short stories limited to certain topics only

@pusnjak If you can sell enough stories in literary magazines and get an agent and/or publisher to look at a book of them, you can make it successful. If you write in a certain genre, like say science fiction, there is still a strong enough niche for the short story for you to be at least moderately successful. I don't think many publishers will limit you on what topics to write on, as long as you write on it well enough to captivate them.
