like both versions prefer the first one (2009) loved both lisbeths still prefer the first one but i think they are both good and if you put them together they make the perfect botch adapatation
Honestly, I prefer the David Fincher version of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" to the Swedish original, but I think you have a valid point in that he should have moved the story over to the States, instead of keeping it in Sweden, kind of like what Christopher Nolan did with his remake of "Insomnia".
@benway20 Agree and disagree. Agree that the Fincher version is better. Disagree about the point of moving it to the states. That wouldn't have worked at all. The story is dependent on this setting and thankfully Fincher felt the same.
i sat through the swedish versions, it was daunting i didnt like them personally 3 hours is to long, the american one is very good, you should pick it up when it comes out
I got the UK one have posted it as a video response :). Interesting presentation on both versions, glad to see that we both didn't lose out when it came to the presentation I think both are nice in their own way. Take care Eric :)
Great box set, love these movies! l'm glad the lead actors are getting more known, they did a superbe job imo. I doubt l'm gonna watch the remake.....it's way to soon for me....
That looks way nicer than the Uk set, are there any English subs on it??? Loved the books, and enjoyed the films (thought the first one was the better of the 3) not seen the extended versions. I hear the Fincher remake is good, and it got quite a few Oscar nominations today....
I do not know why they felt the need to remake these here in America. I loved the originals and feel they were great any remakes are redundant in my eyes.
