  • Firstly, thanks for doing these - they're great, and like you I have the whitest skin so it's good to see what works. Here's a tip tho; instead of Scotch tape, 3M micropore tape is great. Much less sticky, and hypoallergenic. Stick to your hand first, then there's none of the "aaaargh!" afterwards. Also, because it has a paper back, any excess powder sticks to it, whereas with scotch tape being smooth colours can slide off and in to your cheeks.

  • You did a great job, your eyes look great. Thanks for the tutorial!

  • I just have to say that this look is breath taking! So gorgeous! And you also made me laugh so two thumbs up!!

  • Honestly, i hate watching makeup tutorials. Because the people that do them..i mean its like there not even people. But i have to say you are my favorite make up artist ever, your actually human for goodness sake and your funny(: I'm 15 years old and i have been teaching myself makeup since age 6. And i think your my new teacher :P

  • great makeup and vrey cool soundtrack!!

  • I think you are so beautiful i mean wow and your a mom girl thats amazing your a hero you may feel blah right about now but you look just radiant!

    love this makeup so much<3

im in love with chapsticks i find that if you use blistex and repeat use it works or but your coco buttter on your lips befor bed.

    im a twin also yay!

  • used this look before and loved it. wanted to use it again so I tracked you down and recreated it. Thanks again!

  • THANK YOU for saying alternate eye shadow colors. I have pale skin similar to yours, so I could use the colors you do. But so many beauty guru's are tanned or olive and they use these eye shadows that "look good on all skin tones" but they obviously don't know anyone who is lighter than ivory! DX

  • you are super down to earth! its fantastic

  • just subscribed as you are fabulous! Loved that you example alternative neutrals for the different skin tones. So relevant yet no-one makes that point!

    X Isi

  • Nice Trick, with the tape!!!! Love ur Vid's your awesome and funny!!!!!! That's what we chicks need someone who can do good makeup and be funny at the same time. Loveeeeee it!!!!! Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!

  • I LOVE USING THE BURTS BEES HONEY OR NIVEA MILK AND HONEY ...THEY HELP MY LIPS. I ALSO EXFOLIATE THEM BY USING OLIVE OIL AND SUGER. OR JUS SUGER WHEN IM IN A RUSH. I WET MY LIPS AND PUT SUGER ON THEM AND GRIND MY LIPS TOGETHER THEN I RINSE OR EAT THE SUGER

  • to help the tape no hurt as much place it on the back of your hand remove it than place it on your face :] this looks is beautiful!

  • Ur looks r so clean! & ur music rocks! :)

  • my eczema got really bad when i was pregnant causing even my lips to become very chapped & flaky. i have to use hydrocortisone cream sometimes on the edges of my lips & that helps. talk to a dr

  • Thx. Very helpful tutorial.

  • M.A.C. dictionary, yeah?! haha(:

    and hemps works wonderfully

  • dang, you've got like perfect eyes :)

    pretty

  • Your to cute lol you seem like a good person .

  • Sarah could you please kindly recommend a dupe for Tet-a-tint? i don't see it on the website. And Wedge is too dark for me. Thank you!

  • love the look wish it had red lips though!

  • I have been looking for the black creme liner on the pro site but it is not coming up. What should I do ? Has it been discontinued or could the site not have it in stock?

  • i never thought of using tape before! amazing! subing :D

  • Can't find tet-a-tint at Mac. What's a good substitute?

    Thanks!

  • please avoid any chap stick with mineral oil, petrolatum, parabens. Good chap sticks include brands like Alba, Burt bee’s, Kiss my face, etc. which can all be found on vitacost . com

  • I'm using this look and your so pretty thanks for the tips good luck :)

  • I used this look for a shoot I did a while ago.. Looks AMAZING! Only thing is I was in such a rush to get out on time, I forgot to put mascara on. duh! x

  • CARMEX FOR THE LIPS....

  • I have'nt gone through you comments and i don't see it in the ones I can see but you should try carmex. it's a medicated lip balm.

  • Hi Sarah. Can you plz tell me where you purchase your Gemma Kidd brushes? Are they available at Target? Thanks. If anyone else knows that would be great too.

  • Hi Sarah,

I live in Northern Ontario where it's dry and cold most of the year. I faithfully use Vaseline. Nothing fancy, just a purse size, small tube of Vaseline. I tried everything under the sun and nothng worked, but this. It's cheap, and surprisingly not gross or greasy. I leave a tube in my purse, and my office desk, that way i'm always reminded to put it on, before the chapping starts. Works wonders.

  • Blistex Lip Medic. It comes in a little blue jar, and its gonna sting your lips with a cool mint, but its great.

  • is tete a tint still available? i tryed looking for it on the mac website

  • i know it sounds silly, but a lot of times when your lips are chapped, you just need water :) try drinking 2 or 3 more glasses of water a day and hopefully that should help a little

  • beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey Sarah, I was about to buy the colors I needed for this look and they discontinued Tet A Tint. What would you use instead???

  • Love the video and wow congratulations! Twins, so cute <3

  • i love how informative and helpful you are.... like how you say what colour you are using then offer alternatives that can be substituted to suit different skin tones and shades. I subbed :-)

  • I like the lined tips and highlighting. I think for a more vintage look I will do a bit more rosey cheek and red lip. Thanks for sharing and helping make women more beautiful.

  • you're awesome and congratz on ur babies :) im sure theyr as lovely as their mum

  • hiiii i just came across ur videos and im going through each one! :D and maybe uve found ur chapstick by now but wat worked for me especially now during winter, is the vaseline lip therapy. idk if uve tried that. it works for me :) and also taking off the dead skin just by warming ur lip with a hot cloth and scrubbing off the dead skin with a disposable mascara wand works amazingly :) but im sure u knew that lol anyhow, hope that helps and i LOVE ur videos :)))

  • I love this look, and you have so much energy! Congrats :))

  • Ok this is the first video of yours I have watched and OMG you might be my new favourite!!! goodbye juicystar07 hello SarahVictor lol congratz on the little munchin in your belly (:

  • I am not being mean or anything but your eye makeup makes you look like you have a swollen eye hun x LOL

  • i think your kid is a boy.. because of the shape of your tummy.

  • you look so cute when you are blabbing that I'm replaying that part over and over. haha

  • you look so cute when you are blabbing. haha..

  • I love this look! You're really talented :)

oh, and you remind me of my band teacher sorta? lol, it's a good thing, she's awesome like you!

  • Wow this is beautiful!

I'm so thankful for your videos Sarah!

All the best with your twins!! :D

  • try vaseline lip therapy! <3

  • Luv this look!!!! It is absolutely stunning!

  • this look is absolutely STUNNING!!

i feel like running out to MAC and buying every single product you used to be able to do this look exactly how you did!

  • sarah hun, have you tried burt's bees beeswax lip balm?

extremely affordable and all natural. I find that it works pretty good compared to the several, several others i've tried including the ones you named.

    xoxo

  • @LaKIKy09 That stuff is miraculous. It smells amazing, too. Murad makes a lip treatment that literally makes your lips soft over night. It's a little pricey but a little goes a long way and that stuff will last you a long time. You can also put it on dry patches of skin, like your elbows, and it also hydrates them, as well. It's definitely worth a try!

  • @611SNOOPY611

will have to give it a try, thanks.

  • Love the look. I had a hard time last winter and the only thing that saved me from the chap lips was the chapstick from URIAGE its the stick levres I know they have them all through europe not sure about the states...

  • hi my daughter was on accutane and her lips were the worst to the point of her in tears and the only thing that helped was the jane iredale lip drink. its 11 dollars but it was a miracle worker after we tried everything else!!

  • @blueeyedthumper I was on Accutane also! It was hell...truly hell. I lived on Carmex. I got such dry eyes too when I was on it :-/. Would I do it again?......ABSOLUTELY.

  • @SarahVictor You went on Accutane? I'm 16 and currently struggling with acne and would LOVE it if you made a youtube video talking about it. Thumbs up people so she can see!

  • i like ur makeup it makes your eyes pop. oh and the belly is so cute, twins usually come two weeks before the due date.

  • i like ur makeup, it makes ur eyes pop.. ur belly is so cute, twins usually come two weeks early.

  • if you use the tongue cleaner part of a toothbrush to get the dry skin off then you put neosporin over your lips when you sleep if really helps with chapped lips

  • You need a lip balm with no petroleum in it. That means no neosporin or chapstick. Try something like Crazy Rumors (the first that I could think of that's widely available) or even straight-up cocoa butter. Either absorbs into your lips rather than just sitting on top of them.

  • CONGRATS SARAH!!

  • That is the best winged eyeliner I've ever seen! Awesome!

Btw, Rosebud Salve is the only think that works for my chapped lips. Most others lip products seem to make it worse.

  • Lansinoh Lanolin for Breastfeeding Mothers is the BEST cure for chapped/cracked lips. It comes in a little purple tube. It works instantly! It's far superior to chap stick, Vaseline or anything else you can buy.

  • Try Vaseline for you're chapped lips! I use it every night and it's AMAZING...my lips are SO soft...feels kinda weird at first, especially on you're teeth but after you get used to it's better than any chapstick!!! CONGRATS on the twins, I'm in nursing for obstetrics and want you to know that twins are rare precious gifts!! GOOD LUCK :D

  • My birthday is Valentine's day :)

  • Gorgeous look! I have a similar eye shape to yours, so I love watching your vids. :) I get very chapped lips in winter, too, and the ONLY thing that works for me is scrubbing them with sugar. I do a dry scrub first and then I dab my finger in water, dab it in sugar, and go over it a second time. I think it's a combination of the sugar and massaging. When done they are very red, definitely more supple, and then I just put on a really nice lip balm and they are good for the day.

  • I use Cherry Carmex religiously! Its the best thing out there that I've been able to find. Nivea has one of two that are ok, but nothing has been as great as Carmex. Carmex's Moisture Lip Balm is great for a somewhat shiny lip and they have one that had tint in it. So theres something for everyone and they cheap price is a plus too lol

  • I'm a twin (girl/boy) and my mom had us three weeks early! :) We were healthy and full size (7 lbs each). Good luck! :)

  • Burt's Bee's

  • Great tutorial! I subbed because I love your personality and your makeup looks of course =) If your still suffering from chapped lips try burts bees pomegranate replenshing balm..works great for me and hope it does the same for you.

  • nice tutorial thanks sarah

  • congratulations on your pregnancy. I wish you the best. take care. this tutorial was awesome!!

  • Thanks for your videos-they're always great and informative. Unrefined shea butter will sink down into your lips or skin, not just sit on top. So you'll get the moisturizing benefits and natural healing properties of the shea. Why buy a product that has only a small amount of the good or beneficial ingredients? Much better to use the beneficial ingredient itself.

  • funny you mentioned justin! i went to highschool with him.

  • congrats on twins!!! ♥ :)

  • Hayleyistcb's eye look that she had done inspired by yours had brought me over here and now I'm officially a subscriber! I love your personality! You're just so bubbly and it's so cute and enjoyable to watch and your eye look is SO pretty! Definitely will have to try it sometime soon. :)

  • Whoa Sarah...seriously this is a beautiful look, its very wearable. I love your random thoughts during the tutorial...felt like you were just talking to one of your friends. You probably won't respond to this but just wanted to wish you guys well on your pregnancy and the arrival of the babies! You are a bad ass makeup artist! :)

  • Beautiful makeup!!!!

    You're a real artist

  • drinks lots of water for your lips! im sure you are since you're pregnant but my buiding is super dry so i have to drink water constantly to keep my skin, nails, lips n hair from being fried! :P

  • love the look!

  • try Nivea for chapstick!

    i love it!

oh nd i love ur video!

  • You should try vaseline for your chaped lips i helped me so i hope it works for you :)

  • Valentine's day birthdays!! That's adorable :)

Sarah, you MUST MUST MUST tell me what kind of lighting you use to take those end photos. The lighting and photo quality is GORGEOUS!

    PLEASE TELL!! :)

  • burt's bees? and salve. love the tutorial, thanks for sharing love the eye look ♥

  • Carmex in the little pot. The formula in the post seems different than the one in the tube. I also use, Aquafina chapstick too... these have no sunscreen in them b/c for some odd reason I'm allergic to sunscreen :D Random i know but idk if sunscreen was somthing you cant use while pregnant... :/ good luck!

  • Gorgeous look!! Congratulations on the pregnancy ;)!!!

  • Blistex green tube

  • congrats on the pregnancy!

Try Burt's Bees original lip balm (yellow tube), it's always worked for me :)

  • congrats on the pregnancy!

Try Burt's Bees original lip balm (yellow tube), it's always worked for me :)

  • gorgeous! Thank you Sarah!

  • try Kiehl's Lip Balm #1, it's amazing!!!

  • When I was pregnant with my first child, I had an allergic reaction to my chapstick. I went to the doc and he said to get cortizone ointment at CVS. Literally, 2 days, lips had healed and were in the best condition they had ever been in. I still use it to this day for conditioning. Make sure though, it only has 1% of meds in it (the drugstore usually only carries with 1% in it) for babies safety and that it is CVS brand. The actual Cortizone 10 brand tastes AWFUL!!! Hope that helps =)

  • i am obsessed with this!!!

  • Avon I think its moisture something, but its balm white tube with blue it works great for me.

  • i have to say pregnancy suites you, you are so funny!!!

  • THIS IS INCREDIBLE!

all pin up looks are the same...urs is so different and GENIUS!

  • try carmax or eos (lemon one).

  • This makeup is so gorgeous!! Is the MAC water activated liner a pro product?? You look beautiful and I'm glad you and the babies are well :) xoxoxox

  • Carmex for the win. And bonus- if you have a cold, use a Q-tip (clean!) to put some just inside each nostril. Protects your skin from chapping, helps clear your sinuses, and helps tissue-rubbed skin heal.

  • ESTEE LAUDER'S LIP CONDITIONER IS THE BEST I'VE BEEN USIN IT SINCE FOREVER .. <3 !!

  • You can't beat Carmex. I find that it works amazingly if your lips are really dry and awful and you haven't used it for a while. It kind of loses its effect after a week or two, but it definitely works. For my everyday balm my absolute favorite is the big lip balms by Badger (creamy cocoa = amazing). They also have really great body balms, maybe you'll find something nice for your pregnancy?

I'm so happy for you! You look so happy. :)

  • love your vids!! very helpful. could you do more tutorials using the tarte jewlery box for different looks? Thanks

  • wow, you made tghat look way too easy

  • CARMEX

  • January 19th is my birthday! Wow. That's so cool :)

  • In my opinion it will be a girl! ;)

i say this because of the form of your belly =D

anyway your baby will be born on 14th of february.....it's so romantic *__*

  • thanks for suggesting shades for darker tones. love the look!

  • vaseline is the best thing you can put on chapped lips.

  • Chapped lips..don't laugh but Lansinoh nipple cream (it will soon be part of your life) is excellent, though you have to warm it up first (I transferred it from the stupid squeeze tube to a little jar). I usually put Clarins lip treatment (can't recall the name but it's a creamy moisturizer) on my lips and then put either the Lansinoh or Arden's 8-Hour Cream over top before bed and during the day if I'm at home. Hope it will work for you. Good luck with your babies - so exciting!

  • This is beautiful. I thought the way you applied Carbon was very interesting and I'm definitely going to give it a try. :)

  • vaseline will really help your lips!!!:)

    try it<3

    p.s i love this look<3

  • i love you, and this look, you look gorgeous! You have such a steady hand, i need to practice doing liner like this

  • @Jessleyisme It really really helps if you're able to sit down and rest your elbow on a desk while doing makeup. That's what keeps my hand so steady :)

  • the burt's bees works wonders for me :)

  • heeey :)

you're hair looks great & the makeup look is amazing !! :)

aaaw your babies are expected to be born on valentines day <3 thats soo cute

& the 19 of jan, thats my mums birthday, so both are good haha :L

    good luck

& love the vid :) xo

  • hey! grate video, as always. About your lips: what's happening is that the babies are getting all your nutrients, but most of all the omega 3. When we have an unbalance of this oil, the first way to notice is by the dryness of the skin. So it doesn't matter what you put on, it wont help enough, cause you need something from the inside out.

By the way you look stunning Mama! =)

  • @verosyotengo That's what I was thinking too lol. Plus I've become a friggin' mouth breather because my nose is so stuffed due to the swelling hahaha so it doesn't help!

  • Carmex helps alot actually and it even looks like your wearing gloss

  • i hope you pop no later than january 19th!! my goodness! <3 my mom always has really chapped lips and uses carmex a lot (which i think smells awful). also, she loved using pure romance's bosom buddies on her lips, which is NOT intended for that, haha, but also worked really well. if you know any pure romance people have them hook you up. i'll ask my mom for other lip products that help her. hers are really really really bad.

  • olive oil for really chaped lips is great. it doubles as a scrub if you add some brown sugar to it!

  • Vaseline is the best for any dryness, particularly for lips.

  • i love your videos:) its kinda cool ta see someone else with not so large eyelids, and the way you do your makeup to make your eyes seem bigger and actually see ya crease. dont get me wrong, i LOVE seeing like the likes of tiffanyd 's makeup tuts, her eyes are just amazing, but i do NOT have big lids i have hooded-ish eyes like you, so love your vids :)

  • do you know a comparible lip gloss to the one you used by mac?

  • @krystaltheblondie I didn't use a lipgloss my MAC, it was by Dior :), but I assume you mean Dior! Hmmmmmm...try Viva Glam I gloss.

  • perfect

  • Sarah, I have the three braids on right now, I love how your hair looks its a great way to avoid using heat : )

  • Burt's Bees or Lip Medex..that stuff works miracles.

  • jan. 19th is MY bday!!!

  • you said you think you gonna have your babies on january 19th, thats my birthday!!! amazing look! if you have girls there gonna be in heaven with your makeup skills (:

  • try nivea kiss of moisture chapstick for super dry lips. it works wonders

  • I didn't know MAC had water activated liner. I use the Laura Mercier one. Good to know so I can save money

  • Try Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream.....it doesn't smell v good but it's fab!!

  • Great video!

You are always amazing with eyeliner, so I wanted to ask if you could do like a 'rock chick' eyeliner tute...so something with a defined eyeliner but also a bit smokey...so it doesn't look too 'classy' (for some reason, when I do eyeliner it looks very 'ladylike' and pin up O.o)

  • Use vaseline. :D

  • Mac Lip Treatment!!!!!

  • Burts Bees or Nivea are AMAZING for chapped lips :)

  • "Be You" tiful Sarah ") Congrats on yur twins btw.. Try Burts Bee lip balm.. Works very well ;)

  • you have pretty eyes!

  • Congrats!!!

  • Twins? That awesome! Congrats Sarah!!

  • Hey Sarah I had a question for you. I've been looking for a new foundation and powder . I was using clinique but the lightest colors for me were all wrong and it just didn't go on like I liked it. I'm honestly the same skin tone as you and I wanted to know if you could point me in the direction of a really good brand.

  • For chapped lips, you really want to avoid anything with petrolatum--it basically just forms a barrier, so your lips won't get drier, but they also won't absorb any moisture and get better. I use the Chapstick Naturals and Burt's Bees stuff--hope that helps!

  • Very nice look! Try using old fashioned Vaseline.. its use is for minor cuts and such ... works super!

  • ooooh i forgot strangle E45 works wonders on my dry skin and LIPS XD used it last yr wen they cracked n it was so moisturising i use it all the time now for chapped lips or dry skin on my face, amazing

  • elizabeth arden 8 hour cream is the best thing for chapped lips , couldn't live without it in my kit :D x

  • I get badly dry lips no matter how much water i drink so im addicted to lipbalms my faves are blistex moisture in summer healing in the winter coz my lips can get so dry they bleed :S eeek, dat bein sed i get in2 the cranberry frm the body shop at xmas instead ov wearin lipgloss in the day coz its tinted n has glitter in :D

  • i love the look! where did you buy that TRUCCO lipgloss?

  • @funtabulous88 I got mine from BeautyChoice . com but sometimes you can find it in Salons still

  • Honey and a bit of sugar mixed with olive oil take it on with a tooth brush rub it a bit and let it soak in for a while, then let a bit of honey in itself soak into your skin and drink water. Water is the best for extreme chopped lips. For the babies sake, I guess it is the best natural way. Take care and you looke sexy with the Twins.

  • Vaseline or Carmex work really well. (vaseline is better though because if your lips are too dry the carmex stings)

  • Hi Sarah! And congrats!!! What I swear by for extra dry lips is Avon's Dew Kiss lip balm. It is one of those products I have used forever, way before my addiction to MAC occurred! I swipe my lips with it several times before bed as a night treatment too and wake up with moisturized and fuller lips.

  • love u sarah,god bless u and ur babies

  • that's a beautiful look :D

  • Gosh, I don't envy your heartburn- I just had my son, I can't imagine what it must be like with two little ones shoving your stomach out of their way! They are so worth it though. By the way, it sounds wierd, but the best treatment I know for chapped lips is a little honey and olive oil. It's hard to resist licking the honey off, but it does help heal chapped skin and lips.

  • BTW..for your chapped lips. There is a product in Australia called "Luca's? Paw Paw (Papay) ointment" basically its a really dense gel that can be used on chapped lips, burns, and cuticles etc...it's like cult product. You can try 'similar' products, as i don't know if they sell that brand in the US. I have also used 'nipple cream' (for mother's who are breast feeding) it's also a really dense cream/gel that doubles up for other things like on the lips..

  • I'm a darker shade then you, and i can see the vanilla blends in very well to your eyelid colour, for more olive complexions would you recommend using a more brownie/taupe-y colour, as i feel vanilla on my eyelids, will definitely 'pop', or would you still recommend using vanilla, cream, light peach colour for the first step?

  • January 19th's my birthday!

  • I love watching your videos because not only are you amaaaaazing with make up, but you have real character that makes your viewers feel much closer to you. Every time you upload a video it's like talking to an old friend! :)

  • OMG..... U LOOOK SO BEAUTIFUL every day, evry hour.... i mean god bless... love yoursmile i hope ur babies have ur smile!!!! :d

  • how can you determine your skin tone/undertone?

  • carmax for chapped lips or cocoa butter lol

  • LOve the Belly! Can you do a french braid tutorial!
