@Thebeastcalledmydong The British had a referendum to join the EEC and in-result the Tory government introduced the European Communities Act 1972. This curbed the power of parliament and made EEC directives a part of the constitution, which was incorporated into domestic law. People knew what they were signing up for, so they should not complain.

I work as an English teacher in Spain and I was told to prepare classes about 'European History' using some of the EU's resources (available on the EU's website - looks like I can't post a direct link!). I told my boss that I thought the resources were nothing more than propaganda for the EU - there's a tiny bit about Ancient Greek, Roman and Medieval history that isn't so biased that even a Spanish 10 year old would realise something was up - other than that it is PURE propaganda.

Yeah i got given a bag full of EU lit ( Made to look nice with stereotypical cartoons which i found offensive) after a lesson on the EU , with no balanced opposition may i add. Had this out with our kids secondary school. Next years curriculum will include what the head teacher said "more balance and views from euro sceptic opinion". What gets my back up is the language used and how the situation will be manipulated. "Opinion" a thought not based on fact, to which they will have plenty of eu endorsed "facts" to counter the argument. "Sceptic" instead of opposer or opposition.
