AMC will be perpetually known as "Detroit's Whipping Boy". The Gremlin is, oddly enough, the BEST selling AMC car ever produced. Over 800,000 of the cute little buggers were built over their 7 year run. Even the Pacer tallied up almost 300,000 in it's abbreviated 4+ year run. The Gremlin poorly designed? Whatta load. It's 3/4 of a Hornet. I have an old mechanic friend who described my Gremlin like "If the Hornet is a mighty fine automobile, than 3/4 of one ain't that bad either!".
Also when she tears into the Gremlin..uuum I can think of ALOT of cars that were fuglier back in the day. The Gremlin wasn't a "poor" design either and sold well for what it was which was "CHEAP TRANSPORTATION" When you drive a car in rain,sleet & snow 24/7 OF COURSE it won't last. My Gremlin gets 800 more Oooo's and Aaaah's than 99.9% of everything at car shows as its UNIQUE!! I'll bet Miss reporter drives some Japanese shitbox anyway.

The Javelin in the vid was a 73 or 74 Javelin and by 1974 The Camaro was a bloated huge bumper wimpy gutless 350 powered wheezebag verses the Javs smaller bumper d more aerodynamic body and more power with the 401 option still available. The Cuda's and Challengers were a mere shell of their former bigblock and Hemi stature.
I glad they weren't too hard on the Delorean. Usually in show like this people trash them. Deloreans are pretty good cars as long as you maintain properly and drive them! Long live the Stainless Wonder!
ha ha 5* Let's see now, my stepmom wanted a "Pacer" real bad, my grandparents had a "gremlin" (I never rode in it), and my bestfriends' mom had a "Pinto". Worst car I ever had was an '80 mustang - MEGA FAIL!
