yes, i did the tunze skimmer, the upgraded pump, and the media baskit (purigen and chemipuri and filter floss). i also bought the fish guard, i didn't use it a first and a fish jumped in the back. i did all the suggested upgrades and i am glad i did, there is no way the stocked filter and pump would ever have handled this kind of bioload.
