This song would have been as popular as ''Amaranth'' by NW if it had a great, expensive video! Most people care more about the looks and stuff like that. ''Energize Me'' had a pretty well made video and it got almost 4 million views.

Anyways, After Forever deserved much more credit than they got! It's a shame that most people will listen to all those talentless ''artists'' that are shown on TV all the time, just because their songs have ''hot'' videos, instead of searching for true talent!

As much as Anette isn't the same style as Tarja, she's not a bad vocalist. Sure she's got more of a pop voice than Tarja, but she's got to make her own mark with the band. If she was the same she'd just be basically rehashing the same stuff. The Poet and The Pendulum is actually quite a decent album in my opinion.

I really hate the Managers for most of these bands1 They continually over flaunt bands with feamle vocalist. Floor is sexy no matter what she wears. She looks so (Pop) in her outfit and the dancing is just odd. This band is made up of true talent and doesnt need Fluff and Glitter to make them stand out.

I didn't like it at first, but Floor's voice just was so amazing, I couldn't stop listening to it =) now I don't mind grunts, as long if it's mixed with ''clean vocals''. I don't like that Thrash or Power Metal or whatever they call it, you know? Like that high-pitched male screaming throughout the entire song. That's just my opinion, tho, I don't mean to bring ppl down who do like that stuff ;-)

Personally, Floor is my fav because of her incredible versatility. She can do just about any style and do it well... and thats just perfect for metal. After Forever have such a varied repertoire of songs thanks to her ability.

Dont get me wrong, love Tarja and Simone, but Floor to me is in a league of her own.

Floor Jansen as Nightwish's new vocalist instead of Anette. I mean hell, if they just hired Floor instead of Anette, then all this complaining from fans would stop since it's obvious from this video that Floor can sing both the styles of Tarja and Anette's singing. So if fans don't like one style, Floor can easily slip into the other.

*sigh* I can only dream, though. If only NW had gone on hiatus long enough to coincide with After Forever's disbanding.

Floor with Nightwish would have been a dream indeed, but Tuomas said in an interview with Faceculture, I believe, that he didn't wish to replace Tarja with someone who was similarly trained, for fear of the "wtf she's just trying to copy Tarja" comments. Not in those exact words obviously, and I'm fairly sure the vast majority of Nightwish's fans would have been thrilled.

Yeah, it was kind of a lose-lose situation there, to get rid of the vocalist that essentially made them. As far as I'm concerned, I've ruled out Nightwish in the overall listing of great European, female-fronted metal bands. Maybe Anette will surprise us yet but I'm not holding my breath. Still though, in my opinion, Century Child is a staple in the genre.

Anette is also a wonderful singer as well, I don't agree that she is mediocre at all. Epica and Nightwish are both excellent bands, but very different. One doesn't supplement the other. People have different taste, but really it gets annoying to read people whining about Tarja.

I have been around almost for 60 years and I can say that Tarja is on the level of a Montserrat Caballé or a Sarah Brightman, also can include Simone Simons and Floor Jansen i.e. a "Prima Donna". Anette is ok for a a regular, normal band, but she has to reborn again to aspire to be a "soprano"

It IS a question of taste. And yes, Tarja has some strengths Anette doesn't have, but it is also vise versa. Just because Anette does not sing in the same style as Tarja, Anette, and Floor, doesn't mean she isn't as good. And if you did your research, Anette also has a soprano range.
