That is up there with one of the best amps I have ever heard. The dsl series sounds great unmodded but that tops it off. You do great work.

what does it mean when a head is is modded

It means it's been changed. A mod could be more gain, less gain, darker tone or brighter tone, adding an effects loop, changing power tube types, etc.
