  • That is scary. (shudders) I'm definitely NOT going on any roller coasters after watching this...

  • wait...whos in danger?

  • it's called the red button lady, not that complicated

  • Pause at 3:01 and you can see his mangled leg. OOOOOOOHHHHH.

  • I wonder if he thought to shut off the chain drive first?

  • is your 'baby' the one that is stuck ? nawwhhh . The MAN that is trying to help your 'baby' have fun on the rollercoaster is the dude stuck .

UNLESS that man is consider your 'baby' i think you should shutup and have some consideration to the MAN bleeding to death ;]

  • When I saw 7:24 I said "EEEEUUWWWHH!!!!!". The whole time I watched this video my leg felt weird... 10:02 AND NOW THE FRIGGIN' COASTER IS SAFE???

  • That poor kid! What an amazing man to come in and help that poor boy. These stories, while being tragic in their own right are so heartwarming at the sane time... I'm in tears, lol. So glad the you fella's doing better again :) x

  • poor guy:( he was just trying to be nice to the little girl

  • 1. See this is why I stay away from roller coasters.

    2. Is it just me or does the people in this episode look really weird?

  • Panic attack!

  • i love these =)

  • oh man..... and WOW the guy was in danger!!! but i cant imagine the fear for the girl AND the ride operator

  • this could have been prevented if he did not put his foot on the track

  • ive been on that roller coaster when i was little!

  • that gave me the chills

  • how old was the daughter on the roller coaster

  • i wanna slap that lady

  • trim those fucking eyebrows! jesus christ!

  • if that was me i would have screamed in that girls face " and you think i dont?!?!"

  • 0:08 holy crap that looks fun

  • The man just wanted a nice job

Screw the bitch save my unharmed baby the man leg was bad

  • And i thought the GIRL was gonna be in danger

  • it takes a truly greatful person to do what that guy did and help the guy stuck under..he is a real hero..

  • that is going to leave mark !

  • Not very smart of this guy in the first place. Why not push it from behind?

  • allgood2000, why the harsh comments about the little girl and her mother?

  • I think that the woman yelled MY BABY! because it was quicker to say that than, a roller coaster operator has his leg stuck under the roller coaster!!! you need ppl to respond as fast as possible.

  • wow, one, she heard her daughter screaming, two, she didn't even know what happened, as a parent, your number ONE priority is your children, i don't care who you are thats how it is, third, she sat by his side and held his hand, how those comments got so many thumbs up i will never understand.

  • im never going to work at an amusment park for a summer job.. ever!

  • this episode made me cry....

  • ive been there, and i saw tht mini coster

  • Yes everyone gather 'round gather 'round with all the kiddies to show them the man with the mangled leg.....scar them for life...everyone is welcomed!! *rolls eyes*

  • that right there is a really good man

  • omg at 3.03 now I love horror movies but seeing that was tough

  • i used to have this episode on tape...i loved rescue 911

  • @ilovematthewtyler Do you have any other episodes on tape?

  • k im neva goin 2 a fun fair again

  • OMG so disgusting

  • shut up he is the one hurt

  • i love how people help each other <3

    poor man :(

STUPID little girl , when ur mom tells u to come it means STOP and it's over

  • now I know why my mom hates these kind of stuff & i'm over 13 years old and i never rode one lmao

  • Yes, lets try and get a defective rollercoaster to work.

  • Man I just wanna slap that woman screaming for her baby. She should have taken that brat home and put her to bed. This was prob one of the most emotional Rescue 911's I ever saw. My heart just goes out to the poor guy who lost his leg. They need to bring shows like this back.

  • Lol His Eyebrows Are Fked

  • Omg, stupid mom, her baby was OK, the man who was in danger was that man under the Rollercoaster...

  • Why did the man take his shirt off?

  • Does anyone else's heart race at the suspense?

  • roller costers in the earky 1990s are not safe

  • back then people run to the aid of strangers and even cry for them. now days, its very rare to find anybody like that.

  • If I were the mom frankly I'd be thinking holy sh*t could this thing like derail and land on my kid, i understand what you guys are saying, I also understand where she was coming from, and she sat with him and held his hand, you can't plan how you will react in situations like these you can only learn from it, I think it showed great character for her to say she wouldn't want someone to turn their back on her child, she wouldn't do that to someone elses.

  • ya that guy is in danger but the child is terrified. Have a heart for both of them. Jeez

  • @RachelMLinn i totally agree with you!

  • *mocking tone* My baby! Oh yes lady. Because she's the one in danger. Not the man having his leg torn apart.

  • @Jumpybeaver actually they were both in danger

  • I HAD 2 SHUT MY EYES FOR THE WHOLE THING

  • @puppk1997 ,awww

  • Thats a nice way to get sewed on the last day of your summer job.

  • WTF MY BABY MY BABY !! fuckin have feelings 4 him !!!! he got hurt... to make ur daughter have fun ! and btw when his father said take my life ... tht was amazing

  • thats sad he thinks only 60 more years 2 live

  • @GUnit0618 what do you mean?

Why does he only have 60 years more to live?

  • @GUnit0618 and this year he would be 36 or 37

  • @GUnit0618 and he when 17 when this happened so this year he is 36

  • She must be afraid of Rollercoasters to this day

  • somebody save my unharmed child from nonexistent danger screw the severely hurt man in severe danger

  • @agetlostgirl obviously she didn't know if her child was UNHARMED OR NOT! Its just mother's instinct and she also said she held his hand the whole time after she knew her child was safe!!!

  • @agetlostgirl lmao i was think dat same thing like wtf ur daughter need help frm da man leg under da f***ing rollercoaster nd she cryin my baby my baby

  • And the mother was concerned about the young man. If any of you had

actually watched the whole video instead of freaking out about one part

in it, you would have seen that the little girl's mother did not run away but

was at the young man's side as the paramedics arrived. So next time, watch

the whole video before you all start making observations about the whole

    situation.

  • @mrtelevision that comment annoyed me too, so 5,000 thumbs up to you!

  • @mrtelevision i agree, i'm a little annoyed with the 43 thumbs up that comment got.

  • @mrtelevision kay truuu , but why would she scream "MYBABY"

yeee she was concern bouut him .. but didnt loook liked it from the very begining

    having consideration -kthanks

  • The little girl was not at fault. It was an accident involving a malfunctioning

roller coaster cart. The little girl is not a brat. She just wanted another ride

on the roller coaster. i am sure all of you were kids at one point or another

so you should be more understanding toward her. The mother was yelling

because her little girl was scared because the roller coaster cart was

out of control. What if it had derailed and the little girl got injured?

  • @mrtelevision they both would have been injured

  • Oh my god good thing that guy did not die before the ambulance got there

  • what a great man that saved him..:)

  • Wow, look how old fashioned the station breaking system is. Human powered.

  • The woman was scared for her kid and she tried stopping the machine she didnt run away

  • she was worried that her kid would be hurt

  • Does anybody have the segment "Aussie Whale Save" from this episode? I would love it if you could upload that one, since I've got a thing for Australia!

  • This is why I hate Roller Coasters.

  • OMG! That must've hurt like hell! Poor guy. =(

  • Hey Allgood2000, I was wondering, do you happen to have the segment, "Aussie Whale Save" from this episode? I would kindly appreciate it if you could upload that one, since I've got a thing for Australia!

  • Hate this fricken crap rides that always break :(

  • The guy should have known better, but he didn't deserve to lose his leg. And for the mother, if you are a caring mother/father you will think of your child first. I'm not a parent but I know other parents.

  • umm ok lady.. your child is FINE... its the GUY that needs help.. >_>

  • 2:27 OH MY GODDDD !!!!!!!!!!

  • some of these comments are ignorant..

  • The coaster cars were not weighted down properly with only one brat in the first car. Still, he should have sued the crap out of the builder's of the ride.

  • why did he step on the track in the first place... people make no sense

  • it was the girls falt 4 asking could she going again!

  • whats up with peoples bushy eyebrows back in the90's?

  • calm it down people. God, what kind of society have we become when we have to analyze and scrutinize over the simple things in life. This was a TV show to inspire people to do the right thing, not to tell people how dumb or ugly they were

  • OMg WIth the heck her kid wasnt in trouble the man was like thats messed up I feel really bad for that guy

  • I use to live in Altoona I remember when this was all over the news

  • hey allgood 2000 is there more rescue 911 about school buses and teachers

  • is this only segment about amusment parks

  • Why did they take rescue 911 off the air?

  • @GoodPointpogo they took it off of CBS to make room for better shows

  • Hero! The man! Hes my idol! =)

  • Thanks for putting this up as this is my family. This is my Uncle. My Mother's brother. He has four children now and is currently married but not to the woman you see at the end of the video. I'm grateful to have him here.

  • shit happens... but i never would pull or push the ride standing in front of it.

its like not pushing a car when its down, but pulling a car

who the # would do that?

so i would say: youre own fault liv with it

  • I watched kids whenever I could at the fairs and events very chance I got after I watched the movie. Buddies make excellent heroes. Krystal

  • I recall seeing this when I was about 14-16. Krystal Wow!

  • the woman was a bictch she should have ran call 911 but she ranway i hope she rot in hell

  • You are obviously not familiar with maternal instinct. Go in the woods and pick up a baby cougar and tell it coochie cooocie coo like you would a baby. Mother would still kill you. In a time of trauma a mothers first instinct is their offspring (most of the time). She pulled the break to stop the roller coaster. Back off!

  • the videos you see of the accidents are reinactments dude.

  • If you had actually watched the whole video, as the paramedics

were arriving you can see the mother of the little girl there comforting

Chris. So she did not run away and she was concerned about him,

so stop with the harsh comments, everyone.

  • lady ur baby not in danger the person that in danger is the man bleeding to death

  • @metroareatransit i know right shes all like ahhhh and the guy is all like my leg and the daughter is like i dont want to ride this ride!

  • @metroareatransit of coarse the chid and her mother is verified

  • why did the lady yell my baby when her daughter was not in any danger and was sitting in the cart just fine. She should be more concerned with the guy who got his leg cut off by the roller coaster

  • "we'll put him on one more kid ride then do the miniature golf thing, and then boogie"

  • The chick at 04:10 has REALLY stiff nipples.... =P

  • Not to be rude or anything, When I worked for Conklin Shows (Amusment Rides) they told me you have to be 18+ older for liability reasons such as what was just shown, I take it there was no legal actions? Especially that happen to a minor (17). Its a good thing that guy was there to help other wise he'd be 6 feet under for losing that much blood

  • Stupid lady! "my baby" wth!!! ughh she safe inside the rollercoaster its the man that is hurt...

  • i was going to ask do you have all the episodes of this show on youtube

  • I wonder how old Lindsay is in this segment. Why did her mother yell 'My baby! My baby!' Her daughter was OK. Chris was the one who was in danger.

  • Why did he pull on the cars instead of pushing from behind

  • the guy should have pushed the train from behine not pulling in front thats how he got caught

  • Imagine if that was Kingda Ka at Six Flags! That must have hurt!

  • im kind of confused why did he apply pressure to his foot again?

  • to stop the bleeding and swelling

  • keeps too much blood from pouring out. what works well, is to step into the side of someone's crotch, hurts a lot but also cuts off the blood supply to the severed limb. anyway, losing a leg<die

  • It depends on the person.

I would rather die than lose a limb.

But yes, saving the life of the victim is priority.

  • wow the white guy is the one under the coaster and she's screaming my baby ........even though she's not in any danger on a kiddy coaster that SOMEONE IS STUCK UNDER!

  • @niajhabenson7 From the distance she was at, she probably couldn't tell the man was stuck under it.

  • @niajhabenson7 My thoughts exactly.

  • @niajhabenson7 of COURSE a mother's first instinct is for her CHILD"S safety!!! And if you noticed she said after that she held his hand the whole time!!!!!!!!!!! idiots!

  • @niajhabenson7 This brought tears to my eyes - her cries for her baby brought the saviour of this young man in the right direction - she didn't know what was going on but that something was so so wrong - when you have a child you will understand - if she hadn't screamed the way she did, if the guy hadn't reacted on hearing it - in this case the what ifs are so negative. He made a big mistake in pulling the cart manually and I am so so sorry that one mistake caused what happened but he survived.

  • I hope Lindsay didn't tell her mother she felt bad for what happened to Chris. Her mother would say "It's not your fault. It was an accident"

  • he did protect the little girl. what if she had tried to stand up when the roller coaster was goin?

  • wow its always kids and its creepy how the intro is gonna be like BAM AH!!! or like XD come on please let me im gonna be carefull and then the mom is doing chores THEN IT HAPPENS always

  • was that a fart when the operator pulled the cart?

  • ok this one was so sad! Thank God for that man who helped him and kept him pritty calm considering his leg was basicly sawed off! Poor kid. MY BABY MY BABY! how RUDE! Why not yell His leg his leg HELP!

  • I just love how the inconsiderate woman goes; "Oh no, my baby!" When she is fine sitting in the rollarcoaster, and the ride operator is practically getting his leg sawed off.

  • What a shame, no one deserves to lose a leg. He wasn't thinking... trying to pull the coaster instead of pushing it from the back.

This amusement park is certainly great, it has the world's oldest wooden-side friction roller coaster.

Just because an accident happened, shouldn't make you not want to come.

  • Stacy my Scacy!

OH HAVE A HEART OLD WOMAN THE MAN IS IN PAIN AND YOU SCREAM FOR HER >_>

  • humanbeings!!!! what the hell are we about? we wage wars we kill and abuse yet we care so much. what a parody!!!

  • so youre a paramedic now then? But this show sucks...

  • grainy123,

If this show sucks, then why are you watching it!

  • I wish you luck, kid. I'm 18 and going into Air-conditioning. Don't get me wrong, if you do go into this field it will be stressfull and you will see gruesome things, but you may also get lucky, and not see major injeries. :)

  • your gonna be a paramedic cool I'm gonna be a artist! im 13

  • hope you like cup o noodles and shopping at Goodwill, kid ;)

  • AH! poor poor man, everyone makes mistakes, and this was 1, so.... yea. ( poor poor man )

  • *15 years later*

So dude, what happen to your leg again?

-oh, i was stationed in iraq, and an insurgent threw a grenade at us, so i had to kick it away from my squad, and this is what happend to my leg....

    No, seriously...

-fine....the truth is... a kiddie rollercoaster FUCKED ME UP!

  • same with me!!

  • same here! im turning 17 in a fuemonth, im about to start this education to be a firefighter. I think this show inspired me the most. :)

  • I love this show .when this show was on my family and i sat and together . thay shoud put this show back onTV!

  • kudos to u fox! i want to be an EMT wen im 16 to help rack up volunteer hours for the air force academy then i wanna be a red beret special forces who r all EMT's pretty much but yeah i kno a paramedic good job i support u saving lives

  • kinna weird and ...

  • I never saw the original Cbs version of this segment (or maybe I did, but don't remember it LOL.) Do you know if the original version of the segment had an intro from Shatner? With him in a dispatch center, in a fire station, or whatever?

  • This is the CBS version. Sometimes at the beginning of some segments, it starts with the story rather with a dispatch center.

  • Actually Brendan, I believe this is the Family Channel version. It's in the video description.

  • He's an idiot.

But I still feel sorry for him, I've also done stupid shit. =P

  • It's nice for Chris's father to say "if you give him his leg, you can have my life".

But why did he say that if he didn't realy mean it??

Chris's father never realy "died" after Chris got his prosthetic leg.

I guess I'm not sure of what he meant when he said that.

  • heres a tip. fair rides like tht , that r not professionaly built and are not forth thousands of dollars- dont ride them, dont work 4 them. tht is y.

  • Its not a fair, its just old and doesnt have a lot of technology, it was built in the 1950s I think.

  • Lakemont Park, the park in this episode, is home to the oldest coaster in the United States: Leap the Dips. So what if this happened on Leap the Dips?

I don't know again the name of the Herschell kids coaster at Lakemont Amusement Park.

  • I remember when this happened, i was only 10 when this happened, it was scarry i felt so bad for him. I am from altoona, i am so glad that he survived this trama.

  • I can't imagine the kind of pain that poor kid endured. Horrific accident, made me profoundly sad.

  • They wanted me to put my hair in a braid when I work, like the rescuer in the segment. I decided to cut it instead, b/c I didn't want to fool with a braid.

Our Captain started working for the fire department when it was all men.

He HASN'T gotten used to the change-not even after I tempted him with the idea of getting to look at pretty women.

Didn't faze HIM. I like him anyway, b/c he's really good at what he does.

At least he's not hostile about it.

  • r u for real?

  • you can't pay me a trip to Hollywood to get me on a roller coaster. that's a nasty accident

  • that carnival looks amazinly fun!!! like I havnt seen half of those old rides anywhere.

  • that's because all those old rides kill people

  • %$#! YOU!!! This is a true story about a kid that got his leg sliced by a rollercoaster and all you can think about is how fun the carnival looked! You got issues!

  • Its an actual amusement park.

  • I love this show.. Feel bad for the operator. This show inspired me to go into the Medical Field

  • what r u doing or gonna do?

  • Being inspired to go into the medical field, is inspiring in itself...

  • Awesome, me too! I'm planning to go either into nursing or into midwifery :)

  • chris has got good balance lol

  • i was at six flags on the batman coaster when that kid got decapitated for his hat i saw everything it still haunts me to this day!
