  • Nice backbround music )

  • wtf was with the gay bubble music?

  • Ha ha ha ha. Funny how you show the way weaker little LED light right after, since LED's emit nowhere near the same visible to infrared ratio as that incan, you'd need FAR more LED lumens to do that same thing to the black plastic. Pity you didn't show a bloody JETBEAM M1X instead of that weak little thing towards the end there, since the M1X would make a joke out of that M6 in lumens AND throw... ..and come to think of it, it looks almost exactly like a SureFire M3T LOL!

  • @nerdagedon2012 definately :)

  • @nerdagedon2012 SureFire lights are about buying something extremely well-designed and engineered. SF doesn't use the brightest new thing the INSTANT it comes out, that's not what they're about. Also, keep in mind that the M6 is an incan and was released WELL before LEDs were powerful enough to come anywhere near 500 lumens. Is the M1X impressive? F### yes. But it's a different technology.

The main point of the video was to highlight the heat produced anyhow.

  • Agreed, a lot of heat indeed. SureFire isn't the only company that uses "good engineering", I prefer Streamlight OVER SureFire actually, and Paul Kim of SureFire apparently doesn't know how to engineer a plastic lip to hold an o-ring back on the ICON MODUS series. hopefully he's fixed the wall thickness. If not, FAIL.

  • Well I've a Fenix LD20. It's very bright. Maybe one day Surefire can co-operate with Fenix to produce a new brand or something.

  • Which is better/ brighter?:

    Fenix TK40

Surefire M6 Guradian with 500lumens bulb

  • Go with the TK40! The cree mc-e is brighter out the front and also has a much much longer runtime than the M6

  • hey, I'm just curious. Why is your beam color kinda blue-ish. I just received my m6 today and the beam is more yellow-ish (with the mn21)

  • It could be that you have chosen the wrong LED bulb for it and less lumens. Did you check it...the one on the video is 500 lumen at it says there

  • @junmae808 My m6 gets hot & cuts off after about 5 minutes. What aboiut yours?

  • Now I know what to carry if I think I'm going to be attacked by plastic bags!!

  • surefire rocks, the haters probly just cant afford it so they sour grape with their cheap ass chinese knock offs.

  • i agree with you, cheap chinese knock offs tend to last like a week and its done for, but the life span of surefire batteries is bad... 20 mins or 60 mins is really bad...

  • Comment removed

  • @boocolor ANY incan producing 500 lumens off 6 primaries would have a similarly short runtime. That's just the science behind power consumption as it relates to output for incandescent bulbs, which are far less efficient users of energy than LEDs. It has nothing to do with this brand of batteries vs that one or this brand of light vs that one.

On another note, many of those SF knock-off lights seem to last 20-60 minutes as well... and I mean the LIGHT, not the batteries.

  • save $350 and get a fenix tk40 and gain 130 lumens over the M6.

  • Save $350 with a Fenix.

Save good quality with a Fenix.

Save customer service with a Fenix.

Save peace of mind with a Fenix.

Get a Surefire, have it all.

  • Fenix quality is just as good if not better than Surefire and Fenix definitely beats surefire in every other category.

  • @Lockhart2000 woah wrong way round dude!, agreed that they beat surefires in most other categories though

  • @Lockhart2000 Where are Fenix flashlights made? Surefires are made in the U.S.A.

  • I used to own a m6 on 500 lumens. It's heavy, goes through the batteries in 20 minutes. Not really useful for everyday carry. I prefer the g2 with a cree bulb on it.

  • Definitely every flashlight enthusiast's wet-dream. If only i had $500.

  • not quite, the vector hid 35w spotlight is, it has 3,500 lumens, this one in the video has 500

  • get the wickedlasers torch

  • it's a surefire M6, that means you throw it from the roof of your house, hit it with a baseball bat etc and it will still work, and if you manage to break it anyway there's the surefire lifetime warranty: you break it, they repair it for free. no questions.

the reliability is about the best you'll find while the wicked lasers torch is a showoff light only, the quality is really bad and some of them even destroy themselves through the heat if you try to use them for more than 20 seconds at a time

  • i dont get it? so the bulb gets warm.... how does that help me determine how BRIGHT it is?

  • thats why he posted how many lumens there are

  • @aruggierousmc

it tells us how inefficient it is

  • @aruggierousmc It's 500 lumens.

  • @aruggierousmc thats not the bulb, its the beam it shows how high intensity it is

  • @aruggierousmc 600 lumens BITCH

  • ????!!!!WHAT?????!!!!

  • damn how much did that cost u?

  • if batteries were cheaper i would consider getting a m6, but im sticking to rechargables now =]

  • bloody hell, if you had to use that heat shrink wrap for wires etc this light would be great.

  • lol, I was thinking the same when I saw the vid :D

  • In reference to my previous post, the "Borealis" produces 1,050 lumens and gives you a 50 minute run-time, and it's rechargeable. I'd like to own The Beast, as most of us would, but the price is a little high for me.

The Borealis cost me under $400.00 with the price of the charger and shipping included. You can see a fast clip of it in the video I have of the M3.

  • I just recently bought a light that's slightly stronger than the M6. I felt I had to because I ran into a problem early one morning at work, and the M6 didn't quite help as much as I thought it would.

People throwing things off buildings, like glass bottles and trying to hit us is common. It happens to me and my partners late at night or very early in the morning once in a while. Usually the M6 worked wonders in stopping that problem immediately, no matter how big or tall the building.

  • can you give us a comparison to other lights to a distance of about 50 to 100'

  • wow holy shit, does it burn your hand or anything...?

  • No, Its simply the heat coming off the bulb, If you stuck your hand in front of the lens end of it for long enough it could burn you.
