There aren't enough great words to describe The Michigan Marching Band. I was part of George Cavender's reign, when Eric Becker was first trumpet and "Let's Go Blue" was written.. The sweeps on Elbel Field are fresh in my memory. I can still "lock-at-the top" with ease. I have thoroughly enjoyed the band's continued embrace of comtemporary music while keeping the traditions alive. What's better than Temptation and Hawaiian War Chant? "You can't have one without the other!" GO BLUE!
Before they get to this point, just in the middle of the parking lot, they stop and play the Victors. They stopped doing it back in the 90's. And I wrote them an email, and reminded them of their tradition, and from then on they did that, plus kept the high step in a part of the Pregame Victors. But they also added the Victors Trio and Let's Go Blue, at the end of this march into the stadium. But if you really want to see this band at it's best find the 1980's version with Eric Becker! GO BLUE!
