  • is this dog good around other dogs that are smaller.

  • Beautiful dog! I see he's very well trained also! Our dog is getting there but so far she is not as good as Maverick yet.

  • nice work but your camera man/woman needs some training. from :57 to almost 3:00 the pans and zooms made the video difficult to watch.

  • @bandcministry Thanks for the compliment. The camera man (or boy) was a 10 year old (our son) but he is getting better. :)

  • Maverick was in training for six weeks.

  • nice how long did it take for u to train the Standard Schnauzer its taking me for ever to train my miniature schnauzer but my miniatureschnauzer/poodle is being trained realy fast

  • Nice place command and good off lead heal. Nicely done.

  • very well trained congrats and best of luck if you go into shows

i want to get a salt or pepper or the nono white ones its horrible that they kill them cause they think its not "show quality" really annoys me how people say to "better the breed" but kill great dogs. i dont think id get the ears cropped or tail docked though

  • He is training a Standard Schnauzer here. The Miniature Schnauzer is a different breed altogether, and yes, they come in white. The Standard Schnauzer does not: just pepper & salt, and black, sorry.

  • coosess, make sure you can and are able to handle a standard. They are very strong willed and it takes a firm hand. They are a high energy dog, especially as pups. But they are wonderful, smart, loyal and loving companions. Maverick is beautiful. Mine is pepper/salt also with natural ears.

  • son guais

  • Nice work. I am Dying to get a standard

    !

  • Using emotion and emphasis on the release "OKAY!" helps the dog differentiate normal conversation from the release. Also, we return to the dog before releasing them from a sit/down stay to eliminate them from anticipating release or hearing the release word in conversation.

  • would it not be easier just to use a different word that does not constanty come up in conversation?? they way you say itr sounds exactly the way anyone would say it to another person

  • isn;t ''okay'' a bad word to use as a release command since it comes up so much in normal conversation??

  • dont have conversations with your dog.... they dont no what the heck your saying.

  • so what they still appreciate it and if they dont under stand then you would not be able to get a dog like this to listen that well
