I am 15 years old and just in love with this era... I strive to look like this. Women in those days wer SO MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL than the women today and it's a shame that people's views on what's beautiful has changed so much. Unfortunately the plastic "caked in makeup" look is whats "considered" beautiful, however in my eyes this is what beauty looks like and I hope to look like these women when I am older.

Something that you can't see in this very fine video is that not only were these 2 iconic women exceptionally beautiful and talented actresses, they both had cut-glass accents and diction as elegant and refined as their looks.

I seem to spend a lot of time at the cinema or watching TV trying to decipher what's being said by sloppy speakers who mumble, yet they have all the advantages of modern recording techniques!

The Turning Point was originally going to star princess Grace and Audrey Hepburn but Monaco didn't want the Princess to make a movie and Audrey wanted to stay in Rome. Anne Bancroft and Shirley MacLaine were superb in those roles and Audrey and Grace would not have enacted the roles any better but the thought of Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly being in the same movie is almost too wonderful to imagine.

I only watched about two minutes but only saw them in costumes for films. If you look for candids, and you will find many especially in 1956, the year Her Serene Highness was married, you will see Grace's actual personal style. Oleg Cassini was responsible for many of the dresses she wore to Openings and things, he got her out of her "dowdy librarian" look :) Wonderful costumes though :)
