it's quite easy to finance US healtcare, just let everybody pay 100 dollars a month for insurance. That'll be a total of 307 million x $100 = $30,7 billion a month. $30,7 billion x 12 = $368,4 billion a year. So there is the funds you need to cover everybody's healthcare.

President Obama wants to change America from the inside out. He is forcing the senate to do their jobs. He is encouraging bi-partisanship even though he knows it's futile. Our President has more strength than I could ever muster.

People say the gov shouldn't have given mortgages to people who could not pay them back (the working poor & minorities). Not true. They were right to force banks to give loans to them. The problem was banks gave loans to people with "NO JOBS" & NO CREDIT. The gov. never told the bankers/mortgage companies to do that. Then, the bankers packaged those loans as good ones and investors backed the loans! Lastly, we deregulated the banking system so it became legal for them to do it!

it's quite easy to finance US healtcare, just let everybody pay 100 dollars a month for insurance. That'll be a total of 307 million x $100 = $30,7 billion a month. $30,7 billion x 12 = $368,4 billion a year. So there is the funds you need to cover everybody's healthcare.

I would say that character is very important. Character and public service are inseperable. If I can't trust you how can you lead me?
I like Bill Clinton and Oboma personally. They have magnetic personalities, but I wouldn't trust Clinton with my sister or Obama with my health care.
I found Bush somewhat unpolished, even abrasive at times, but I knew what his convictions were whether I agreed with him or not.
I only see faith as an issue if you profess it and don't follow it..

Clinton served 8 years and couldn't run because the 22nd Amendment of the US Constitution allows no more than two terms 4-year terms. He wasn't "chucked out".
We don't have royalty, so you have to be elected here. Bush, like Clinton, was elected to 2 terms in office. If there was someone better, they didn't get their party's nomination or lost to Bush both times in general elections.
You are certainly free to judge any of them on any dimension as you wish.

If they had just done one thing, allow purchasing power across State lines millions of Americans would have access to affordable care. And it would stop the insurance monopolies per State and City giving true free market competition. But they won't do it because the healthcare lobbyist own politicians on both sides of the isle. I don't think people who are out of college understand what is going on...most younger people are scared of not getting a job with healthcare and benefits. So, they are not starting those own businesses or planning to work anywhere NEAR the private sector. That's basically laughed at, the way a fine arts and English degree are laughed at.

President Obama wants to change America from the inside out. He is forcing the senate to do their jobs. He is encouraging bi-partisanship even though he knows it's futile. He is exposing the rot at the core of our system, and he's doing it in a way that can't be argued against -- by insisting we do things "by the book" and not helter-skelter like the last administration. Our President has more strength than I could ever muster.

He is "bi-partisan" because his party is losing elections (Scott Brown). He was plenty happy to ignore Republicans until he lost the super-majority in Congress. He didn't meet with any Republicans until the Dems lost in Mass.
Plus, he is part of the rot--deals to unions and states for health care votes, no CSPAN coverage, and a trail of broken promises.

President Obama has my support. When his first (and hopefully second) term is over he will be only 54. There is nothing in this for his future. He loves America. Maybe we don't deserve him.

If they didn't give loans to the very people who received those sub-prime mortgage loans. And when it came time to reform those GSE's. He was only too glad to be a blocking vote. To reform those very institutions that were at the root of the economic fall out. You might want to read that>

You are right on some of these points. I believe that Obama has not done even close to enough to reform these banks but some of what you are saying is clearly incorrect. I am not saying that you should not disagree with him on real issues. I disagree with him on alot of things that he is clearly responsible for but he did not do alot that you said he did. We should only deal in factual stuff. All this acorn stuff is a mirage. It is nothing compared to what he is really doing wrong.

People say the gov shouldn't have given mortgages to people who could not pay them back (the working poor & minorities). Not true. They were right to force banks to give loans to them. The problem was banks gave loans to people with "NO JOBS" & NO CREDIT. The gov. never told the bankers/mortgage companies to do that. Then, the bankers packaged those loans as good ones and investors backed the loans! Lastly, we deregulated the banking system so it became legal for them to do it!
