@TheEidolon7 ... I understand your confusion about xing yi. Master Han preserved some of the movements of xing yi, although corrected. what you miss in video is the inside state. It is not mostly about the external shape, but the internal ONE. that is what Master Wang corrected in Yiquan. We all recognize this problem, yes? That someone may have pretty moves, but cannot use it, or understand it, n really has no real Kung Fu. Yiquan is the never ending quest - the real state of Quan.
@gandolflink I'm not confused at all. The principles of all internal styles are the same. Yi chuan is an art all it's own, as is Hsing Yi chuan. The particular movements and the form is what makes this video Hsing Yi chuan. Yi chuan has it's own particular movements. If the master in this video created something new, it might be better to re-name it? The internal mindset is often different for every practitioner to a degree. Either way, it's a nice demo, I like it.
