  • never said houw much sugar or how mow sour creme...

  • How do you keep brown sugar fresh? We found the Banana Seal works GREAT! It keeps even brown sugar fresh right in the bag it comes in... the website is: SaveTheBananaSeal

  • To see how to start with fresh pumpkin pie from a whole pumpkin check out: Pumpkin Pie from scratch, Part 1 - Bumpkin Cooking

  • That pie looks damn good. Thanx for the video

  • I cooked them in the "Aaaaga" to let poor people know I am incredibly rich... Aaaaga.

  • It would be nice if you could post measurements.

  • I always liked Yankee candles, but i recently discovered scentsy, its electric! They smell great and they are safe. I never was a big fan of change, but check this site out and see the deals they have, if you like yankee, you will like scentsy check it out i dare ya! @ tarink(dot)scentsy(dot)us ..ah it just makes scents

  • i cant even hear any sound

  • that would be really good with cool qwip ;)

  • @zombiecowz cool qwip? cool whip or homemade whipping cream

  • Thumbs up if you're eating pumpkin pie right now;)

  • I'm goi. To make this, but I suppose I'll just estimate the amount of sour cream and sugar because it wasn't specified.

  • IM EATING PUMPKIN PIE RIGHT NOW! ^__^

  • SO YUMMY SO HOTS!!!!!!!!!

    /

  • Good video. Only thing I would like to see added would be the quantities of pumpkin, custard/sugar, and sour cream.

  • thanks for the detailed direction

  • Thanks for a great recipe, you cook like I do...the simple way, a bit of sugar....cook untill its done. LOL My daughter hates my directions when we cook together but food doesn't have to be store perfect every time, it takes the fun out of cooking!

  • I am going to make one in a few minutes. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the clip.

  • Sour cream?.. Hm, ive never heard of that.. I've heard of cream cheese...

  • where can i find the list of exact ingredints

    ?

  • yes, but people want to see how you cut up the pumpkin. Some people have never done that ever

  • @davedaddy101 are you serious? who doesnt know how to cut a pumpkin?

  • Your voice sounds like Nigella Lawson's voice.

  • thats a proper pumpkin pie, no colourings were used like in canned pumpkin thats as good as it gets

  • wha degrees is oven ? looks great though

  • she's using an AGA. that's why oven temperature is never mentioned...

  • thanks. just what i was

    looking for. n_n

  • i like your egland voice bloke

  • why not remove the skin before baking?

  • cause it's easier.

  • thank you for the tip.

  • because it's so hard to remove it bofore baking it, plus you could take out more pumpkin sticking to the skin that way. but after baking it, it's so easy to peel of as you saw in the vid

  • Thank you for the tip. I will try it this year instead of buying the canned stuff. Should taste much nicer. Have a good and safe Halloween.

  • Looks a bit to brown and not that much orange, but thanks for posting.

  • how come you need to fold the second half of the pumpkin pulp and spices slow and the first half fast?

  • to give it some texture, she didn't want to make it too smooth and creamy. Also, the bowl used wasn't big enough and may have caused a rather unnecessary mess.

  • Wow, she sounds almost exactly like the principal at my school xP

  • You should tell the amounts of every ingredient

  • I was looking for a recipe made from real pumpkins.

  • You didn't mention oven temp for baking the pumpkin at the beginning or when baking the pie!

    Or the quantities for the:

    pumpkin

    caster sugar

    and

    sour cream

  • When I made my own pumpkin puree for my pie, I had to strain the extra water out. Maybe that was because I pureed it in a blender though.

  • If you send me this pie, I'll be your friend forever! Happy Thanksgiving!

  • OMG i wanna eat your pie

  • i find her voice rather EXTREMELY annoying!!!

  • BrucePiper7 wrote, "I find her voice rather EXTREMELY annoying!!!"

I don't. I think she has a nice voice. And I'm sure she's an excellent baker. 90% of people would just use canned pumpkin. She's going to the trouble to use fresh. The comment about her voice was rather extremely rude in my opinion. It is true however, that she did not mention the oven temperature to bake the pie at.

  • @Jibjub80 The point is if we're watching this video, this means we already bake, so, should we even have to be told which baking temp, to use???? If one does, they don't need to be on here. lol The baking temp is common sense. ALways around 350-375 for baked goods.

  • @cammicty Be careful with the usage of the word "always." For pumpkin pie, depending on the recipe, it may be baked at 400F for 40 minutes OR it may be STARTED at 425 for 15 minutes, then finished at 350. Other baked goods bake at other temperatures. For instance, a rice pudding gets baked at 300. It is not as clear cut as one would think. However, the temperature for baking is USUALLY 350.

  • @Jibjub80 Well as a cook, I almost '' always'' bake my pumkin pie or any pie at 350. Of course there are other foods which can require lower or higher baking temps. I never have a burnt item, I'd rather keep it in a few minutes longer. I never bake any pie at 400! My pastries are always perfect, some pastries, I bake at only 300, just depends.

  • @cammicty Okay. I recognize that different bakers do things slightly differently. You probably are an excellent baker. Do you use fresh pumpkin when making pumpkin pie? May I have your recipe? Hahaha.

  • No matter what a woman says, American men find it extremely sexy if said with a British accent. This video is especially scrumptious.

I used 4 large brown eggs, raw sugar and light brown sugar, a shot of maple syrup and a shot of apple juice today.. half and half instead of sour cream, cream cheese or canned milk. I got a little hunk of fresh ginger root and grated it myself.

  • how much of the pumpkin do you need like how many pieces of it would you recommend cooking before you slice off the good part?

  • Has this been asked all ready? We went to a pumpkin patch on monday and the lady sold us the long "kneck" pumpkin and said that was what was sold in the can. So we bought it. I was just wondering if any one else used the long neck pumpkin? The pie on here looks good.

  • you dear, are a saint. "smelling like holiday season". i am in love.

  • Thanx for sharing:)

  • If you do what I did today, it is important to use a sugar pumpkin or a cheese pumpkin. I used the sugar pumpkin. You can get them at most farm markets, and they are smaller than standard pumpkins. Was anxious to try to make a pumpkin pie this way, because my mom did it once, and complained about how long and difficult it was compared to using the Libby's puree. It is definitely more time consuming, and less sweet than with canned pumpkin, but it is tasty either way.

  • Made a pumpkin pie today with fresh pumpkin, similar to the way that this lady did. The only problem I had was that I placed foil around the edges. When I removed the pie from the oven, and took the foil off, it tore away some of the crust :( But it still was tasty. Have scrumptious dessert every day now for a week :) Did a few things differently from this video. I quartered the pumpkin, with the seeds removed, but baked it with DRY heat (like a baked potato), and NO sour cream!

  • This clip is not only interesting and fun, but the pie sounds delicious! I think i might try it this season.

  • That's so appetizing.

  • pumpkin pie is nice, but I like lettuce cake better, also Capsicum cupcakes are nice too........If you put a pound of sugar with any vegetable it is nice, its a unique american thing, pumpkin is a vegetable, it can still be made into a non savoury food.

  • On Thanksgiving, I made 2 Pumpkin Pies with my mom. She bought all the recipes at Kroger. When I took a bite, I exploded with delight! And this video will remind me to make another pie this year. Thanks for posting!

  • Would have been nice to show us how you intended to get the pie, or slices of pie out of such an awkwardly shaped dish.

  • if only she could kindly, showed us the measurements of the ingredients.......!! nice pumpkin pie by the way...

  • if only she could kindly, showed us the measurements of the ingredients.......!! nice pumpkin pie by the way...

  • pumpkin pay rules!!, I ate the whole thing with a pint of eggnogg.....heaven.

  • woooooooooooooot

  • Thank you. I was looking for a recipe made from real pumpkins. This is authentic stuff unlike the other videos showing canned mix recipes.

  • my mom's gonna buy an already made pumpkin pie since she says hers will taste like crap

  • Just curious... why doesn't the pumpkin pie appear as orange as the canned stuff? How much pumpkin should I use for one pie?

  • YUMM-0~!

  • Great pie, love to make it myself. Only one little point i'd make and that is, theres no mention of what gass mark or electric cooker temperature to leave the pie on while cooking it for 30 mins.

  • pervert..
