  • one of my top 5 favorite tv shows of all time!

  • The scene where Jim takes his driving test and keeps asking what a yellow light means is funnier.

  • @freestrike2000 I was just about to say the exact same thing. This isn't even mildly funny. It's actually kind of stupid but Jim getting his driver's license imho is not only the funniest moment on Taxi it is the funniest scene of ANY tv show or movie EVER!!!!!

  • mmm...nope...yellow light's funnier.

  • Comment removed

  • He needs a Delorean

  • What is funny is what Alex is saying is true

  • Michael Richards stole Christopher lloyds moves

  • @48Althea my first thoughts!

  • i dont think this is the best...i have seen funnier...

  • @bossyboots55

i think those episodes with Louie were the best

  • I was frozen today!

  • at 19 seconds Doc Brown hits his head, thus coming up with the idea for the flux capacitor.

  • Sorry, but this isn't the cookie episode, and therefore, this cannot be the, "Best Taxi Scene Ever." But, for people who are unfamiliar with Latke's cookies, this may, "Possibly," be the, "Best Taxi Scene Ever."

  • @akashashen Sorry, I just followed a relating link; it's brownies, not cookies. It's been awhile since I've seen ANY episode, but, I stand behind all but the two uses of the word, "cookie," in what I've otherwise stated.

  • hahahahah blue berries!!!!

  • Haven't seen a rerun since I was little but if this is the funniest I don't have or want to

  • Hey, Abboootttt! Stolen right from the comedic genius of Abbott and Costello.

  • Kramer before there was a Kramer

  • Great Scott!

  • lol @ christopher Lloyd aging better than anyone else in this clip.

  • only people that can actually pay attention can realize what they're talkin abou: "so ive mistaken blue berries for blueberries?" "exactly!"

  • doc went back to the 1970s? why would he do such a thing?

  • Christopher Loyd, the original Kramer.

  • @UncleErnie71 I was going to say the exact same thing....

  • @UncleErnie71 ever see Richard Mulligan in SOAP, that sitcom, he was awesome, the orignal Kramer for sure

  • @UncleErnie71 Lloyd was absolutely brilliant. Kramer's just a dumb Jew.

  • Are you kidding me This is NOT the funniest scene I can think of several others that not only top this but makes thislook like an editing floor piece The prection of Alecs Death wearing a catcher mask was Great The one whereJim Cut up his vana nd made Elaine a castle was great and the one where Jim burned Louies Apt down was the best

  • Jim had an old wooden spool table. The gang came over and he offered them some nuts. He lifted the table, put the nut under it, and then crushed it. Alex said, "That's interesting...you also use your table as a nut cracker." Jim said, "Wow. I never thought that could also be used as a table." Ha ha! Also Alex dancing in the gay bar. No one can watch that without laughing. Go Taxi!

  • not all blu berries r blu berries] cabin fever

  • MARTYYY!!!

  • Jim Ignatowski!!What a clever actor. This one scene here is just as funny as when he went to take his drivers test. Classic!!! Also excellent in Back to the Future movies.

  • Kosmo Kramer was the illegitimate son of Rev. Jim.

  • i love jim!

  • just because their blue doesn't mean their blueberries?...LOL!

  • no one will help him with the door

  • Whatever that guy's name is....christopher something, the one who came in the door, does he not remind you of kramer from seinfeld? And danny devito would definitely be george castanza

  • @somotastic21 Christopher lloyd, and I think you're right

  • Best scene my ass. It wasn't even funny.

  • @lighthouse44 Everyone else loled

  • @lighthouse44 Why so hostile? They said possibly the best. It was funny to most people. You don't dig it, that's fine.

  • anyone else think this looks like kramer

  • It's a good scene, but my own favorite was in the episode where Tony needed someone to watch his kid. The group were discussing who would watch Tony's kid, and Louie gave a little cough to indicate he wanted to be considered. As they kept discussing, Louie kept coughing until he sounded like he was having a fit. When they finally mentioned Louie, Alex said "Naah, I wouldn't want him to catch Louie's cold" or some line like that!

If you can find TAT scene, it would rule!

  • @backwalk It's been a while since you've seen that episode, hasn't it? It was Elaine's son. I watched the DVD last night.

  • Yellow light is waaaay funnier than this.

  • r.i.p danny devito, legend !!!!

  • @KuliLFC you know danny devito isn't dead right? he's on "it's always sunny in philadelphia"

  • @KuliLFC say r.i.p. to Conaway.

  • @KuliLFC What?

  • thies was before kramer, kramer must ahve watched taxi

  • His best when he received the trunk from his dad....and listend to Stevie Wonder

  • My favorite one ever!

  • kramer cant hold a candle to jim..............iggy is way better than cosmo

  • His was the kramer from seinfeld back then I see. ahahah

  • LOL Alex's delivery of the blueberries thing is so brilliant. It kills me everytime lol. Personally I thought Alex was the funniest character in the show. He wasnt goody or funny looking like the rest, but the things he said and the way he would say them were hilarious.

  • Yellow light is the best of many funny episodes!

  • my personal fave of jim was the episode he wrote elaine the poems!!

  • Matter of opinion. I think there are MUCH funnier "Taxi" scenes in other episodes, but hey, to each their own. ;-)

  • favorite scene was when Jim was at a party playing the piano like a concert pianist and stops and with a look of amazement says "I must have had music lessons"

  • A precursor to Cosmo Kramer!

  • @AntoinePancakes - My thoughts exactly ! - Wayne

  • @AntoinePancakes You hit the nail on the head there! He is an early Cosmo! lol

  • yeah yeah....who's on first type of joke. I love the episode where they have to get others job & Jim becomes a vaccum cleaner salesman, but.....you have to watch it, its too funny.

  • Good, but not as good as the scene when Alex and John were at the home of the girl John married. Dolph Sweet played the father, and the by play between Alex and the father was priceless, and then topped off by John asking his bride to "not get divorced with me". And as others have noted Jim's driving test scenes were truly the best of the best of the series.

  • @BeaniMcFarland4 That's my favorite scene, too--from the marriage episode.

  • Not even close to being the "best Taxi scene ever." Kind of funny, but not even close.

  • @cdngo Do tell us which one is then?

  • Now I know where Seinfeld's Kramer came from. The door, the physical comedy, the not-quite-in-the-same universe persona.

  • Andy Kaufman was doing the hollywood groove and starting his wrestling stick when this episode was being filmed. If you take all the episodes with Chris and Andy out the show wouldn't have lasted 3 months..

  • This is great scene but the 'SLOW DOWN' scene was the best in my opinion.

  • I remember watching this when it aired. I almost died when they did this scene. Doesn't seem quite as funny watching it here, but when I first saw it I though it was the best skit on Taxi I had ever seen also.

  • LOLOLOLOL

  • this scene was OK at best...cmon, really? Best ever??? not even close. the affore mentioned "Jims driving test" and his scene at Harvard with a very young Tom Hanks easily best this 1...

  • Pretty funny, but I still think "his best was "Whaaaaaaaat..... Doooooeeeeesssss..... aaa Yyyeeeeelllllloooooowwwww Liiiiiiight Meeeeeaaaaan?

  • @BrianBinOR When I think Taxi, THAT is the scene that I always think of - Jim's driving test. Classic and still funny decades later.

  • @BrianBinOR me too

  • @BrianBinOR That was my favorite scene as well!!!

  • @BrianBinOR slow down!

  • @BrianBinOR I was going to say the same thing! The "yellow light" scene was one of the best pieces of comedy in TV history.

  • @BrianBinOR SLOW DOWN!

  • @cheagan Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat..... Dooooooooooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssss..... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Yyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwww Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan?

  • @BrianBinOR you are correct. absolute funniest

  • @BrianBinOR "slow down"...........best ever

  • I have never been able to do justice when trying to describe this scene. I am so glad it is here!

  • love that scene, jim was hilarious
