It may have been the case of "Gee, I have this guy as my actor...I guess he could pass for John Boorman." The mark of a great low-budget filmmaker! John Boorman is awesome, by the way. Director of DELIVERANCE, THE EMERALD FOREST, BEYOND RANGOON. He seems like a super nice guy!
