I love Parts Express. I bought the 10" woofers I'm using in my living room stereo system from you guys. They rock - 300 watts @ 8 ohms. You can see them in my videos. They're in the top cabinet speaker system in my videos. The lower ones are 15" Eminence.
use duct tape while you are at it , incase you did not notice it is wood not plastic ...............you are a dumb ass that thing is going to fall apart
I'm putting a set of these together right now for some Altec drivers - 414 + 808 on Eminence H290 horn. There's a newer version of the kit that has the baffle rabbited right into the sides. It's probably a bit sturdier, but the assembly process is very similar. Just remember to make all the cuts on the baffle BEFORE you assemble the thing. They are kind of hidden on the PE site - search by # 245-324.
I find him sympathetic. I watched other partsexpress videos too. I will build a pair of floor standing speakers soon and I know what drivers and crossovers I'm going to use. I'll build my own enclosure out of a 3/4" MDF, put some braces in it and bunch of screws to make it strong and minimalize the unwanted vibrations.
may i know sir if wat sizes of the sided of the box you asemble for example 10 inches speaker,if want to asemble ahh for bass guitar, can you give me ah good idea for that box sir if you dont mind sir, plsss thank you sir
I think you'd want to CUT all the holes before you glue and screw it together.
And I'd want to put the front on first, use caulking on all sides and front, then out the back on and caulk it through the hole for the speaker.
Also use a drillbit the size of your screwheads and just ever so slightly drill out just a tiny bit out of each screw hole so your sure the screws are flush with the wood and then some, If your painting it you this gives you the option of woodfiller & sand for a a smooth box
It's not a good idea. You will want to get a proper 8 Ohm 2-way crossover. You can either get a pre-made crossover that will keep your drivers within their operating limits, or custom build one to match your drivers (recommended for best results). If you choose the latter, get a copy of the Speaker Cookbook to help you properly design the crossover. Happy building!
How about some kits for bigger PA cabinets like 2 18 subs and 2 12 boxes with the space for a jbl 2380 horn lense and JBL 2445 driver? and made out of baltic birch plywood.
How about some Speaker cabinets for bigger PA systems like double 18 subs, and a box with 2 12's and the space to put a JBL2380 horn lense with a JBL 2445 driver behind it? I would buy some if they were kits with baltic birch plywood and routed out for bracing and structural strength.
can't seem to find complete dimensions or posted enclosure size, guessing from the rough dimensions and a little fun with photoshop... It's about 1.511cu.ft.?
I really like the service that I've received from parts express and the quality of their products;however, I think that this kit is a bit cheaply made. The mounting rails for the speaker baffle don't go all he way to each side of the cab.
