  • great video and perfect job

  • wow, a labour of love!

  • I have a question for bernatcarreras or any one. I have a moldel of a renault race car and I need to know what the 2 blue colors are? The name of the light blue color and the name of the dark blue color so I can paint it. The names of the colors or the color codes would sure be appreciate thank you.

  • its wood?

  • Very,very,very,very,very good!!!!!!!!!!

  • Like everybody I can say only :

WOW GREAT JOB man !!! ^^

  • WOW!

    great job man..

  • Yeah Need For Speed Undergroun 2. Perfect song +1!

  • @INDOORKARTINGBCN And to remate Moby!!! You are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That is so fucking cool. :O

  • Extremely well done!! really nice :)

  • congratulation man

  • kers?

  • SUPER!!!

  • im confused, although its a awesome build, but why would you have not sourced diffs and suspension arms etc were you could rather then wasting all that time and hand making it.

i understand that's the point but all that time and money on raw materials when these parts are readily available for use in what you've done

  • nfs-ug2. (:

  • just an awesome job my friend. i've always wanted to that myself just with an indycar. great work. :)

  • great job? I cant believe it, it absolutly impossible to do (for me ) and i.m an engineer, sorry my english, i cant believe it!!!!

  • Make more and sell them :D

  • nice................................

  • 6kg for small nitro engine? aint that a bit slow?

  • @KJaboski

that little nitro engine puts out 3hp, hello that can make that car wheelie if you wanted to. HELOOO!!

have u ever had a Nitro?

  • @BrutalNinja1 3hp if it is more than 3.5cc engine or damn right expensive one, im just saying cuz these don't have lot of torque and never will... so it won’t be even as fast as normal rtr kit. And making the wheels spin and loose traction is not really a purpose of building f1 like chassis in the first place don’t you think?

  • good job!!!!

  • great!

  • bernatcarrerras

    Its looks extremelly real!

    great job man!

at 1:01 is that a carbon suspension?

  • @swaman11 it is indeed carbon fiber suspension. you can also see the gearbox casing on 1:22 :)

  • @bernatcarreras nice man!

  • Amazing work! Looks like the real R26, great job!

  • thats realy good mate nice job !

  • ands its probably faster than philippa massa

  • Awesome job, well done. A real skill!!

  • That looks like a lot of work! Nice job.

  • very talented! well done, great project! realism is uncanny!

  • Beautiful build, and VERY impressed with both the detail and the custom mechanics you've done, having said that, I like my 1/8 out the box 80Km/h buggy, as it doesn't matter if I crash a bit . . .

  • NFS underground 2 anybody?

  • @meamjustme yesh :(

  • Amazing work! I mean Meraviglioso!!!

  • I give this 10 stars. Awesome ingenuity!

  • why waste your time making this when you can buy the FG F1 ?

  • @MrCohibaboy missin the point, its nice when you go to a big bash with plenty of cars and youve got the best car, not only that, the fg f1 thing is easy, you dont need brains.ingeniuity,or skills, just cash to but it and loads of people have got fg f1 cars! ,fgf1 cars as you know are made in numbers in the fg factory germany by a team, this was built from scratch by one man, brilliant. i a'nt the skill to do this, i have to buy them,i have sevaral, but none are special as they are massed produced!

  • Splendid sir. Absolutely spelndid.

  • Fantastic, simply incredible achievement. Top notch craftsmanship. Thanks for posting I really enjoyed the video!

  • Good job.. i like!

  • OMG you are genius! actually it shouldn't go faster than this, so people can see your talent and effort put into this beauty. Really...I have a baja full equiped, full alloy, 2 speed, top notch but your car is unique, cannot compare, congratulation that is a master piece.

  • is that the os .30 race engine,if so it will be very fast

  • really nice, total cost?

  • Now that is one sweet project there. Beautiful, that's all I can say.

  • good job man , very good job!

  • to bad it slow lol

  • If you ever find yourself in need of a job PM me Bernatcarreras!

  • omg you are a genius

  • i have that car

  • o-m-g

  • Wow this is totally crazy and amazing..! You can make your own factory dude!! I want one hahaha

How much does it cost to build this?

  • Wow!

  • make me one

  • ONLY WORD......A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!!!

  • i have one of those(or had).....

  • Try making a real size one!! That would be awsome!

  • This is incredible but I have a few questions....

1st how did u get the peaces of body to stay in place?

2nd Where did you get the dimensions and plans for it?

  • That is so impressive, well done on a truly beautiful car.

  • shit

  • Totally awesome.. No RC can be compared with this. Did you sell it? im sure it will cost much..

  • Nice work guys!

  • 1. Market model to major RC car manufacturer

    2. Mass production

    3. ????

    4. PROFIT!!

  • Oh shit man that's so fucking great!!!! Can you make any body under payment?

  • nice home made f1 car :) !

  • GREAT JOB ONLY THING I'M SURE YOU CAN DESIGN AN ENGINE FOR IT TOO MAYBE A V-TWIN OR 4 STROKE NITRO FROM A 1/5 AIRPLANE OR SOMETHING BUT WAS GREAT.

  • nice!

  • crash it.. and your boned...

  • That's sick man

    Great job!

  • so its metal or wooden

  • that awsome. how many hours

  • hats off m8 that is an amazing build much respect. Pointless but amazing

  • Well done, man. The R26 has to be my favourite F1 car of all time.

  • Awesome video

  • Hi ;D What song goes from 15 to 18 seconds ? i like it ...

  • Incredible! The craftmanship, and hours you put in just amaze me. Nice job!

  • As Alonso would say . . . . "is a very special".

  • That is a work of art ... Well done ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

  • it looks very real, maybe you should up grade to a scale V12 like the real thing make it even more scale.im sure it can at least do 20

  • absolutely amazing dude i cant believe it. i've wanted to do the same for a while now

  • I really appreciate this, congrats my friend. Wish i coud make something like this someday.

  • WOW nice! I wish i could do that....

  • whats the music??? i remember this when i was playing need for speed

  • Great job! My compliments! I wish I could do something like this...

  • that's probabaly the most o.d. model i've ever seen when it comes to rc. what material did u use to make the custom body? i've been thinking of makig a custom body myself for a while but i had no idea what material to make the body out of

  • you´ve worked a lot!!!

  • Its the making OF for fuck sake

  • good project well done how much

  • 2:06

It's absurd how realistic that looks.

  • speechless.. what a great project and the result is by far the best 'from scratch' F1 car i have ever seen. Hey speed freaks, Its not about how fast it goes! Go buy a 4-Tec. Its about the labor of love to build a nearly perfect replica. Its a bonus that it drives!

  • @namsicklz Thanks! this is really about it ;)

  • @namsicklz That's right. Alot of my friends are wondering why I want to spend money on chassis, suspension, and a disc brake conversion on my old Datsun pickup instead of a badass roller cam 347 sbc or something. My answer is very simple: I want it to handle, drive, and brake like a new vehicle before I start doing ridiculous stuff with it.

  • 1 more thing

It should reach 0km/h to 32km/h in 1,2 second more or less

  • @brunoiwa I am affraid your calculations are wrong. First, the car scale is 1/5 (so 5 times smaller in size). Therefore, top speed should be around 60 to 70 km/h to be relalistic. The track should be just 5 times smaller. Mass and other phyiscal magnitudes, such as acceleration, volume, do not follow a linear scale thus they will never be 5 times smaller than the real car in any 1/5 scale model.

  • @bernatcarreras

Well i was assuming the car was 10 times smaller :P

  • @bernatcarreras fantastic work my friend- don't let these idiots bug you- how long was the bbuild?

  • @bernatcarreras you smaked his ass down !!!

  • A real f1 car haves 620kg and can go at 320km-350km

A F1 RC car with 62,0kg should go at 32-35km max speed to be "realistic"

If you have a exactly copy of a real f1 track but 10 times smaller just like the car, you have a real f1 rc race :D

  • great job

  • Mate that is absolutely amazing, considering making something similar but doubt I can reproduce the amount of accuracy and patience that went into yours. Absolute dedication

  • Im sorry but I think my BAJA is 10X faster than that...

  • @yelyayan1976 for sure it is faster than mine, but this is not the point. Mine is made from scratch and it is a realistic model, not meant for racing.

  • @yelyayan1976 you dismissed the full point of the video. I'm sorry but a monkey is 10X faster than that...

  • @yelyayan1976 I dont think speed is the point here.

  • because the idea of the car is to be an exact replica. If I used a bigger engine it would not fit inside the engine cover. And it reaches 100km/h (checked with eagle tree data logger)... so it is fine for the time being... Also, it weights around 6,5 kg, which is quite a lot for a 1/8 engine, but less than current F1 1/5

  • are you an engineer.?

  • ajjajajajajajja CRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • jaw dropping...amazing work

  • @bernatcarreras you have skills man.. and hope to see more videos from you soon..

  • song at end?

  • cant stop thinking DANG!!

  • lovely

  • cool!!!! using wood as casing won't weight?

  • @jintat87 the wooden tool you see on the pictures the master mould only. It was used to create the actual parts in composites but it's not used in the car. :)

  • @bernatcarreras why you don't use a baja engine????? nitro engine for a 1/5 scale is not apropriated

  • O_O wow....that's pretty badass!

  • OH MY GOD thats f u c k i n g un real

  • Firstly i have to congratualte you on such fansastic work. this is truely epic.

2 years of work, 2 years of dedication.

    really well done.

How much would a project like this cost from start to finish?

  • @steveworrellmusic thanks for your comments. The cost is something quite variable, depends mostly on which manufacturing processes you can use and type of materials. It is like any hobby...

  • now this is modelling!!!

  • good work... i tied doing this before it did not work and failed miserably.. was the tires available on line? where did you get it from?

  • @simplyme062878 I tyres are designed and manufactured by me. There are no real scale tyres available for F1 so I had to make the tyre and rim from scratch.

  • Would be really sad if this thing broke

  • We need more people like you on earth. Genius, persistent, and creative.

  • really amazing, great work.

  • truly unbelievable. i love it man.

  • top speed?

  • @KeepmetalalivE100 top speed i have reached is 96 km/h. I measured it with the car data logger from EagleTree Systems.

  • how long did it take to build?

  • @619randyorton it took me about 4 years in total, but the work was not continious, so I would say around 2 years of quite intensive work.

  • all i have to say is awsome and how do you get brake calipers and brake discs for electric 1:10 scale car

  • @drewski715 the callipers and master pumps were made by me, they are not off the shelf parts.

  • very nice job ... well done!! :)

  • that is incredible

  • your very skilled nice work

  • WOW!! thats all i can say!!! incredible job!!!!

  • lol thats incredible....full scale next?

  • this model is as good as amalgams models! Well done! I need to make one two!

  • Awesome. You are my inspiration for my project. I want to do a twin .28 powered f1 with working 3 speed gear box out of a hpi savage. Very well done project

  • @eaxnitro thanks for your comment. Which parts are you gonna use from the hpi? will you also build the engine and gearbox by yourself? for my next project i'm thinking on something like you said... but at the mo these are just ideas.

  • @bernatcarreras I would use the internals (gears and shafts) out of the hpi 3 speed. I need to make a front and rear bearing block to hold the shafts for 2 reasons: 1) To allow the connection of 2 engines to the gear box and 2) to lower the gears down nearer to the flat pan chassis. The hpi output shaft is well below the motor level due to the twin vertical chassis plates.

  • plan to use as much commercially available rc parts as I can mainly for easy spares and so that I actually complete the project. 1:8 scale buggy diffs are bullet proof . Buggy brake hubs. Traxxass Revo suspension parts have the inboard and pushrod shock layout. Combining several of these components from several areas of the hobby (along with my own chassis and a few custom parts) will hopefully lead to my ultimate rc car. Front wing will actually be the 1:8 scale buggy rear wing.

  • @eaxnitro then your plan is not to buid a realistic car? as you can see I had to manufacture all the parts to get a proper F1 shape, including drive line shafts, wishbones, etc. Im sure, if you buy off the self parts you will avoid many headaches! ;)

  • Please give this video a commentary and some real sound. What's the point of making a music video out of it?

  • 3 bhp engine with 6 kilo car gives you power to weight ratio of 500 bhp per tonn) So its kinda Formula Renault. Tune up engine to an astonishing 9 bhp, so it will have 1500 bhp per tonn)

    btw what its top speed?

  • @Ilovetypography thanks for your comments. I don't think one can get 9hp from a 5cc, but it would be preety cool. the max speed is around 80 km/h. it could be tunned to reach a bit more if cooling was not so limited due to the tight body cover.

  • @bernatcarreras is there only 1 forward gear?

Even so, you did fantastic job as i sad man! Cheers!

  • HOLY SHIT! This is soooo coool man! Keep it up! U did fantastic job man! I wish i have more free time to do something like this!

    From Russia with love!

  • that thing is awesome!

  • Very nice good Job

  • 0.o

  • i have a F1 RC

  • That's astounding. It looks just as good as my die cast F1 models... except this one actually runs!

  • i wana hear it please

  • COMPLIMENTI.....DAVVERO BRAVI

  • about the normal speed of a 1/8th car, doesn't weight much more than a normal one.

  • What's the speed bro?

  • Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Great job.

  • y khow your stuff.car looks spot on,,

  • Well done mate,incredible job.

  • Fantastic work.

  • if someone is really interested send me an email please. In total it was 6 months for designing, and about 1 year for construction.

  • how much to make me a replica??

  • that's awesome!!!!!! how much time did it take you to build this prototype?

  • mean
