  • Without question the greatest guitar signature EVER, and a simple G major progression to boot! Truly, it's all about the recording, otherwise Johnny Kidd's original version would be the one everyone loves.

  • Without a doubt, the Guess Who's version of "Shakin All Over" is the most gritty, sexually grinding recording of this song. And speaking of sexual, from 1:51 to 2:11, Burton Cummings looks like a pimp that should appear on SCTV (not intended to be an insult).

  • FYI first a hit in England for Johnny Kid and the Pirates in 1960. This "Guess Who" with Chad Allen version was apparently recorded in the middle of the night through one mic at a local Tv studio in Winnipeg. The whole band was plugged into Jim Kale's Fender concert amp with lots of reverb. (See McDougal's biography on Niel Young, "Shakey"). Great example of why more artists are choosing to go back to analog and simpler miking setups !

  • This is rock and roll at its best!

  • @ERIMATT That song is not from them

  • 12-31-2011. It's no bore. Burton Cummings is 64. Happy Birthday, Burton. And I hope that you have a Happy Rockin' New Year.
