  • @tjrtherocksponge Yes, i see what you mean. I think rock needs saviors in the mainstream NOW much more than it needed it in the early 80s. Mainstream rock is really stuck in the uncreative, mundain cycle of songwriting these days. My first rock album was in the early 90s, 'cause I was born in '84, but it was "High Voltage? by AC/DC.

  • @tjrtherocksponge Ok, nice to know, but what does that have to do with my original comment?

  • Rick : So i was like ... H'es insane ? hahaha

  • you know, I find it just a tad interesting that Mutt replaced Rick with a drum machine when he ended up using electronic drums. Almost like something was telling them he would be using one. If you factor in the old picture of them with Rick's left arm cut out of the picture as well anyways.

  • The narrator is cheesy. He keeps saying rock "needed a savior." At least, you had AC/DC and Judas Preist with huge success around '82, not to mention bands like Moterhead, and a fledgling band known as METALLICA starting out. How was there no good bands in '82 exactly??? If nothing else, Lepard led to a series of lame pop metal bands...

  • This is the downside of working with Mutt Lange. But who cares?! He's one of the best producers in all ETERNITY!

  • This is really interesting.

  • hey rock and roll hall of fame, def leppard guys

  • wow, I miss Pete and Steve!!!!

  • @BamaKattt More like, Steve than Pete. Pete was starting to hurt the band's reputation by taking in too much alcohol when they were starting out. Plus, he wasn't taking the band too seriously, as the other guys were.

  • @BamaKattt yeah i miss steve alot, when he died i freaked, i still remember what i was doing the day my girlfriend told me that steve died, i didnt believe her so i put on mtv and within 2 minutes they came on the air with a news flash that steve died, at the time before my girlfriend called and told me i was playing my genesis video game system listening to hysteria, man that day sucked
