"Sorry, Netflix is not available in your country... yet" I am from Finland and that is the case still now September 3rd 2011. Even VEVO started quite soon working in Finland.
Here is a free download for the netflix workaround app for android devices, have fun. I did not make the app I am just helping it get out. "fileml. com/12aGR" Just remove the space from behind the "." and the "com" good luck!!!
Netflix is better than blockbuster in my opinion because of the instant streaming! They have so many devices that work with it, roku, apple tv, blu ray, iphone, windows phone, and all game systems! And best, its all free! The blockbuster instant all costs money. thats just IMO
@asieljones I've seen movies from 2010 on netflix, and just because a movie is a year or more older doesn't make it crappy.Netflix has more than movies.they have tv shows, documentaries, international movies, educational videos.I believe they will have a million or more different movies and tv shows soon. Netflix is better than cable tv and so much affordable.I cancelled my cable and only use netflix.I can pause rewind, resume where i left off yesterday, fast forward etc.Netflix is the Napster of tv.
im thinking about getting it, but it pisses me off it says 9.99$ a month, but you can only get 1 DVD at a time, that is stupid.. and that pisses me off lol.. they should let you take out at least up to 10-15 at a time.. i mean, its not like if you dont return them its their l;oss, all they have to do is take it off your credit card.. so yea 1-3 movies is not enough, cuz when i watch movies, sometimes i lke watching 1-3 in a row like, and if i do that then i will be bored untill more come
@TouchMulaGANG Well they wouldn't have enough movies for everyone if you could take out as many as you wanted at a time without them charging you more every month.
quick question: ive got netflix in canada and its new here. ive noticed that there are a lot of movies that arent available to watch. are they going to be adding lots of new ones?
When they only take a credit card. That's not considering those who don't have one.
Why should you have to have a credit card to watch a few programs? Why can you not send in the money? Poor consideration for seniors and the elderly who don't subscribe to Cards!
Besides they don't have discovery channel, documentaries or learning channel movies, Why?
@texformer I had Blockbuster and now have Netflix. I used Blockbuster for about four years and have now been with Netflix for several years and Netflix has better customer service, hands down. They also send movies out faster.
@ians1mom That's false about NF customer service. Theres NO service online. You have to call a number n sit on hold until they get to you. I have to admit this is a rare situation what I'm about to say. But this week it's taken them 8 days to get me my next movie, yeah I subscribe to both so I can say for sure which is better. With BB there is real online customer service. And the minute you click "PROBLEM" with a movie they send u the next one. Netflix you have a time limit to report problems.
@texformer When I refer to customer service, I am refering to getting movies out in a timely manner and the fact that if a movie is unavailable from my nearest shipping facility, they send me an extra movie, the one from the farther shipping facility and then the next one on my list from my nearest shipping facility so that I get a movie while waiting for the one from farther away, so I have an extra movie for a week or so. I never got that from BB.
@ians1mom Also, When I returned movies to BB it wasn't unusual for the movie to come out of my queue and then the next one not show being shipped until another business day and it took three days from putting the movie in the mail til I got the next 1, but with Netflix I always get my movie in two days. Plus there are less unavailable movies and movies on wait list. If you get better service from BB, that's great, I didn't.
blockbuster cancelled my subscription because i forgot i rented 2 movies one time.. i said "fuck you" and joined netflix.. loving it ever since, watch movies on my wii or on my laptop INSTANTLY.. hear that blockbuster?
@mellowdalyricist How false to even suggest that lie saying a company would do that. They'd lose money. What would be the gain for them to cut your service because you rented two movies and did not turn them back in? When you don't turn movies back in, they bill you the charge of that movie. They don't cancel your service. I too am a Netflix Subscriber. I know that BB has better options and you're simply in denial to refuse that fact. Challenge me to that.
I think Netflix rocks. I canceled my premium Charter cable TV service, reducing that to just basic cable TV and Internet to save money. Even with Netflix 3 disc plan, I save about $50 a month.
I almost always get discs 1 day after they ship. I tried BB, but their turn around time was slower. I also prefer Netflix free streaming. However, my TV is on the other side of the house from my computer & cable modem, so haven't gotten a "box" yet until I decide best way to set that up.
to hootyhaha Netflix is better just recently, BB has decided to bring back their late fees, and if the movie isnot brought back they will charge you for the movie, yet if you find it and bring it back you will get store credit, so for them its a win win, they still keep your money. Netflix there are no late fees, you can keep the movie as long as you want. As far as games if you like the store credit, you can buy a game and defeat it, then return it for store credit towards another game at GS
i think that is cool with netflix, One dvd out at a time with no late fee's (unlimited) and Unlimited watching movies on Xbox or PS3.. I think its really cool, they should allow to record the movie on DVD..
What I like about netflix is the streaming. I believe that is the future of netflix. I have netflix primarily for streaming. I like to just logon at the end of the day, pick something and be watching immediately. The only problem is there isn't enough streaming yet. Hopefully one day they'll be able to get streaming version as soon as they have access to the dvd. That'd be awesome. Netflix replaced cable for me.
Why aren't new releases available for Instant Watching?
Studios do not allow Netflix to acquire/buy those rights right away at release time. Studios know their profit margin and it wouldn't give the studios more profit to allow Netflix & other "streaming" services to acquire them. So it's not up to Netflix, its simply how the studios work.
I would be willing to pay and extra $5 or more a month to have all new DVD releases available the same day on instant stream
@halfawake454 You CAN'T stream unlimited movies. You CAN'T rent unlimited movies. Only the new ones by STARS or older movies you find in the bargain bin at Wal-Mart. If you get a scratched disk you have to wait till you send it back & they return 1 to you. You can't trade movies in for new ones like Blockbuster. TV shows are incomplete seasons. Dexter is incomplete. No CHUCK. Movies constantly expire with the streaming service. NONE of this is an issue with Blockbuster. BB employs more people.
i think netflix is ok i mean its nt the best um if u try going on tube plus.com or something like that u will see all the new movies like paronormal activity 3 but dont try cause it gives the computer a vires unless u want the computer to have a vires or you can try then fix them cause thats what i did and i think they should put ....... well start putting new movies little by little and im not hating either im just saying that cause i have an Xbox 360 and i also have a Wii so tHATS HOW I WCH IT
Thanks for the video. My cable tv service has raised rates too high for me. I'm thinking of canceling my cable tv and considering Netflix streaming vids as an alternative. I'll really miss HGTV and discovery channel though :-(
You actually get more options and better value with Blockbuster, especially if you're a gamer. You get 2 free coupons for game renals (or new movies) a month. Trade in envelopes for movies (same as coupons). Doing the math, BB is more valuable.
yes but with netflix you can watch streaming movies on your computer or tv through roku or an xbox 360 with live membership, i guess it just depends on your preference
I just got the 1 DVD unlimited for $8.99 a month and i love i i watch movies online on my pc all the time and it dosent take more than 1 min to load! and i am getting the box thing so i can do the same with my tv using wifi! it is awesome!
My local Netflix distribution center can be very stupid by screwing up my orders and sending out the wrong DVD's or broken DVD's. They also like to lie by slowing down your order. You get punished for that. They also have a lot of scratched DVD's which won't play in DVD Players. They can also have the same darn movies listed as "very long wait" for well over 2 months. At times they make me very mad and I have to call their headquarters to file complaints. You would too if paying $50.39 monthy!
why do u pay 50.39 monthy id u did not like them when its only 5.99 and so on depending on how many movies u want at the same time i luv netflix i had it for year now and i never had a problem with broken disk or any of that sure sometime there is a long or short wait on movies but netflix is great and alot of ppl like it
I love netflix and subscribe to it as well. But I hate it when I put a DVD on my Queue that's not available in my local distribution center and therefore it takes like a week.5 for it to come in the mail.
I already found a couple of shows they don't have. I couldn't find a show that aired on UPN, called SEVEN DAYS, starring Lapaglia. There are other ones I couldn't find too. Many other shows have episodes NOT AVAILABLE for renting. How it works is you watch a movie, and get another in 3 days, it has actual 2 day turnaround, from when you drop it in mailbox, til you get another one.
so what if they dont have every single movie out there but they do have alot of movie to pick from and its cheap if u was to go to ur local movie rental place u pay even more for just one movie also if its late u get charged for it and also at time u might not find the movie u wanted cause they was rented out
I am a Netflix subscriber to. I MUST SAY, Netflix is COOL. Like, theres SO MUCH on Netflix. So, what if some1 DIDN'T HAVE A CAR?! (OOOOOOOOO scary) (GUESS WHAT?! I DON'T HAVE A CAR) They couldddddd, GET NETFLIX. Netflix is like, I don't even know how to tell u. NETFLIX IS GOOD! 1) Netflix is good because theres like, THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF VIDS! 2) If a person didn't have a car... and a Library was farway (like mine) they could get Netflix. 3) U can have as MANY vids on ur thing as u want...
Okay so we have Netflix for movies and Gamefly for Video Games, it'd be nice if there was a service that offered both for one monthly fee. It's kind of inconvenient to have to pay for 2 different services. I mean when i go to the video store and i want to rent a movie and a game i can get both at the same store, that's how it should be with renting online too.
I work for Netflix. If you want to see a new release the day that is coming out. You need to have it in your queue a day before, in the 1 position. First come First Serve! Netflix don't work on Sat and Sun but what ever u mail on sat we get it. But be sure the mail get it on sat. I get free membership so I don't have problems.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Netflix is great but their wait time for new movies is just pathetic i've been waiting for american gangster since its release date in febuary fucking bullshit and now im waiting on sweeny todd probably for another three months. juno comes out on the 15th i'll probably be waiting forever as hell for that too!!
I have a Neflix 2 dvd's unlimited at a time. At the beginning, i return the dvd's and get the new one's in two days. NOW, i return dvd's it takes 3 days to get new dvd's.
I subscribe to netflix and also tried blockbuster. netflix has a lot more forgein and indies flicks than BB but my problem with both of them is there is a long wait for new movies.
NETFLIX also has movie downloads u watch LIVE! it's been free with the regular subscription for a couple of months. they're rolling it out so eventually u will have it. i've used netflix for years myself. i've trie BB but in my opinion does not compare to Netflix.
My mom and I use Netflix for the whole family. (While she's away, she lets me order DVDs I want to see. xD ) I kind of like Netflix, but I think that I would rather have the Blockbuster kind of service because there's a Blockbuster place close to my house.

I'm a Netflix subscriber also!
They're a good company, in a sea of bad ones.
Oh yea, Thank you Chris! ;-]

Netflix is a great servive. My parents and I use it all the time. We get 3 at a time and they dont take long to come here at all.
