Christmas is the day that is set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Of course, it is not the actual date that our Christ Jesus was born.I am blessed to know that God decided to give the world a son to spread his word. I am thankful that this day is the reason we celebrate God's gift to us, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Over the years we have all been lied to by many false Religous Leaders and so called prophets. Many things we have been taught are not even in Scripture and millions have swallowed so many lies by these false leaders. If you are a truth seeker please visit the web site which is displayed in our user name and take the time to read some of the articles... You will be very shocked.
There is a great audio there for you to listen to. You will come away asking many questions.
it does not say in the bible he was born on the 25 of december but that is when we celebrate it and we are not going against god when we celabrate Christmas if you would notice the first the first half of the Word CHRISTMAS is Christ
Jesus wasn't born on "Christmas day". That is the birth of the Roman god Saturn, so by celebrating you are going against God and worshipping other false idols. Stop people think.
Thanks for your comment BillAllan123. Yes you are quite right - historians agree that Jesus was born sometime in September. The celebration of Jesus' birth on December 25th is a tradition that was adopted by the early christian church - check out Wikipedia - also there is nothing in the Bible to claim the 25th of December as the date either.
However I don't think that most Christians would claim that Jesus was born on the 25th of Dec. However we do claim that he was born, into a very poor Jewish family and that he died but overcame death and rose again to pay for our wrong doings. And if we accept this and acknowledge that Jesus is our Lord we can have our relationship with restored to how God intended it when he created us.
@netbusker true, Jesus may have been born in september, no one knows the exact date. I believe the day picked to celebrate was a pagan day that christians turned in to a christian Holy day to make it easier for pagan people to accept Christ more readily. pagans used to celebrate their gods on this day, now they celebrated Christ's birthday instead.
I'd like to see one instance of mention of Jesus and his actions from the time he was alive that isn't the bible.
