@minipilot22 A successful wing couldn't be done before computers and instable flight. Despite the very "journalistic" (in a negative sense) angle/spin that a NG documentary has chosen to portray the Horten Go 229, all that is just an urban legend amongst Luft'46 fanboys/enthusiasts. The B2 has nothing in common with the Go 229, beyond the optical appearance of a flying wing. The aerodynamics are very different, and has to be so. A stable flying wing is inferior to a conventional config.

During the war the germans changed practice of designating aircrafts after the original builder: Bf 109 (Bayerische Flugzuegwerke), Fw 190 (Focke Wulf), Go 229 (Gotha) to after the designer instead: Me 109 (Messerschmitt, Ta 152 (Tank), Ho 229 (Horten).

3 of these flew over my house last week. It was pretty cool. There's definitely nothing stealthy about the sound they make though!

ok we are the only ones who have stealth aircraft currently in service the first was in the 80s shortly after the B2 skip about 15-20 yrs and you got the raptor and next year the F-35 russias only stealth fighter is still in development and same as the chinese
