  • I started with alaskan malamute... first dog ever had and ever trained. Did few mistakes but it looks I did great job with her. Chezhoslovakian wolfdogs are pretty tough cookie to train, have I any chances to have one one day?

  • I got such a dog one week ago from animal killing station. I did not know that he is that kind of dog! But now I know! His behavior is different to "normal" dogs. But wonderful!!! Yes, he wants to know who is head. But you can show him this with love, care and consequence. Does not react to hard and loud education!!! If you force him, you will break him and than could be dangerous. Respect this kind of dog with lovely consequence!!! They deserve!!!

    Merry Christmas

    Yours "Happy"!!!

  • I want one of these dogs so much, just there's hardly and in Australia and I don't have enough time/money to import.

  • =o)

  • Hey, you bitch, I'm from Czechoslovakia, and I must say that it is nahovno country, but the wolfhound we managed it? : D

  • Gorgeous dog. Good luck(:

  • does anyone knows how much it will cost me to get a czechoslovakian wolf dog, please? :)

  • @katrinmarley It will probably cost a lot.

  • @gbatemper123 i already know that...:'( :P

  • @katrinmarley Get a wolfdog only if you have the mental and physical strength to act as the dominant pack member. Remember, these are WOLFdogs, and will try to dominate. You have to firmly but gently correct their dominant actions. You have to keep your place, or you will lose control of them, and they may be a threat to you and others. If you can handle that, and are experienced, then good luck(:

  • @BarfBoyink i know...that's true....i don't intend to get one, i just admire their beauty!and i was just curious!thanks anyway!! :)

  • @katrinmarley a Tamaskan is about $1000 in the US, they are easier to find in the US too. I've been looking into getting a dog that looks like a wolf, and Czech wolfdog breeders are very hard to find.

  • @necrowolf117 thanks!!i live in greece...so it's too difficult for me to get one! :/ i'm thinking of getting a pointer or a visla or a weimaranar now! ;)

  • Look on my page for wolfdogs who need homes

  • i know it's not the main focus...but what is the song?

  • In czech republic everyone has got this dog in village :D

  • she jump like fox!

  • when she slipped, i almost fell off my chair laughing XDDDD

  • histay ideovay isay oolcay!

  • @HONDAEGYT You do realise the dog was first bred in 1955 when they were still one country right, so whilst you may be right about the country, your comment is completely irrelevant

  • I love wolfdogs ang your video :D I absolutely adore the way Angel is playing in the snow. Good luck!

  • @HONDAEGYPT You do know that a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is a approved FCI breed and that this orginated in the Czechic repuplic AND Slovakia, and when the FCI approved they were still one country? Please, educate yourself in some history before start telling truths

  • epic :P

  • @HONDAEGYPT

    Stfu.

  • pure beauty:)

  • Czechoslovakian DOES NOT EXIST !

    It's 2 different countries now!

Yugoslavia does notb exist anymore. IT"S FUCKING FAKE-MACEDONIA NOW !

Macedonia was hundreds years ago and the YUGOSLAVIA-MACEDONIA is a name of only a few years ago. SO YUGO-MACEDONIA IS FAKE !

    Sorry ! You are fake.

  • @HONDAEGYPT The breed came around when Czechoslovakia existed. Simple.

  • If you are seriously intersted in this breed, do your reading at the worldwide forum for czech wolfdogs. Wolfdog.org

  • Cute.

  • sooo sweet :) like a goddess *-*

  • awsome i want one

  • looks a lot like a coyote

  • Adorable! :3

  • wow she is beautiful!!! i want my own :D

  • At 0:27 I had a giggle fit lol

  • OMG! She looks like mine(: except he's a little bigger and has a bit more gray on him(: but overall that, she's GORGEOUS.(:

  • are they fun dgos? lively/playful, like to get attention?

  • ceskoslovensky... krasny pes!!!!

  • Beautiful dog

  • awesome

  • fantastic dog i will have one soon im soo jealous

  • btw: this dog was created for a purpose this is not a family dog to play with children :)

  • @skifi1 does it not also depend on how well you can train them

  • wow cool dog!

  • I recently adopted a 7 month old wolf dog. I really think she may be a Czechoslovakian Wolf dog. Is there any Czechoslovakian Wolf dog expert here that would be able to tell by looking at her pictures? I have a few.

  • @C06coolvette Im at expert. Send me the pictures along with your full name, your date of birth and social insurance number and credit card number.

  • @Marymary73

I don't give my info out to canadians.

  • @C06coolvette lol

  • @Marymary73

    =o

  • @Marymary73

    identity theft much?

  • @xKamehameha It's a joke. Clearly, it went right over ur head.

  • where could i get a wolf hybrid???

  • she looks just like a real wolf :)

  • i don't know why people who want a wolflike dog don't just get a siberian husky- they have the look without the difficult temperament

  • tez go chce

  • She seems happy there. :) By the way, what's the name of this song?

  • She's so beautiful!

  • Hahaha, 0:29, "Who did that?!"

  • Omg I want one!!! are they sold in the USA?

And I know their temperment, I can handle a hybrid

  • Gorgeous dog! :) Love the breed.

  • Those dogs arent hybrids, it is race of dogs accepted by international asociations, like german shepard. It have best of german shepard and best of wolves- they are loyal (sorry dont know hoe to spell it), good for training and arent agressive and they have strong pack sense and are protecting the pack -family.

  • Wow.. She is beautiful. I want one soo bad! I live on a farm too so it'd have lots of room and I agree this breed isn't for everyone.

  • As of the moment im pretty sure their is none of these in the US or at least none that have been reported. They are accepted by the AKA and are allowable to me imported so it is possible and one day I would like to do it though im sure it will be very costly.

  • pretty epic

  • I am in love with this dog!

  • lol my dog looks just like that, i have 3 dogs one is half wolf, and is my favorite, i know i know, i shouldnt have a favorite , they are all like my kids but wolfdog is just special.

  • r they trainable?

  • its a super breed! haha.

my 1st fav. breed of dogs is wolves and 2nd fav. is german shepherds. This is like my dream dog :D

  • are there any breeders in north carolina? or at least within a few hours of nc

  • How much does she weigh?

  • so funny with snow on nose))

  • How cute, I love when she slips and then she gets back up real fast like "no one saw that, I didn't slip, nope nope nope"

  • These hybrids aren't for everyone. Don't be too hasty. You will need to be the DOMINATE one. Their wolf side will show when they are the one in control. Plus a few other things, but if you can't handle a large dog, then don't even think about getting a hybrid.

  • @NorthernListener i couldnt agree more. its a pet peeve of mine when people cant show dominance over their dogs.. some people cant even control TOY size breeds!

i guess some people just dont know how dogs think instinctively...

i would LOVE to have a wolf hybrid

  • @NorthernListener I couldn't agree more, I can't stand these people who want a wolf or Wolf-like breed and don't know how to handle a dog or have room to support it.

  • @Chemhorserider: Omfg. It's just a DOG. Calm down.

  • @NorthernListener while you are right about needing to be dominiant. Only through intense socialisation play and obedience when they are pups. whilst they do have the wolfs blood in them they are alot! more dog like in temperment than true hybrids they have been breed extensivly for military use that is their origin so they are quite workable and are listed as working dogs. they get bored quick they are not a dog thats is the easy but they are the best! Many peeps make comments but never owned

  • @NorthernListener First of all, I'm 13 and currently own a GSD/Black lab mix that is almost as big as a large mastiff... and he is afraid of me, knows I'm the leader.

But also, I'm not planning on getting one untill college, since I'll need a companion away from home, and a guard dog for when I'm at school (to guard my house of course).

So would I be ok having a CZW?

Would it help to start out with one as a puppy?

  • @NorthernListener How do you know if you can handle one? I have a very dominate personality, even my dominate personality Doberman respects me. I have no problem getting him to listen, and I've reestablish the pecking order with aggressive dogs taking dogs that were growling at me into tail tucking and showing submission within minutes. Do you think I have the personality for one of these dogs? And can they be good working dogs? Ive always thought this would be a cool dog to go hiking with!

  • @nikigurl08 Dominance is not scaring the dog into submission by force, but rather having the respect of your dog in such a way that it trusts you and takes your orders without questioning. Just being a good leader in general and never having the intension of hurting your dog in any way. Respect can't be forced, only earned, otherwise it's called fear.

  • @NorthernListener Not necessary the dominant one, but the smarter one who has more knowledge of the world around him. But it also helps to have a calm and confident leading personality.

  • @NorthernListener i hear they are better then most hybrids

  • @MasterJokoth yeah ive read that they arent like hybrids cos they are much more of a pure breed now.

  • @NorthernListener Not a fucking hybrid dumbshit

  • @NorthernListener Right, Czech wolfdog is no breed for friendship with your pony....:-)

Training and socialization is more demanding than with, for example, shepherd

  • Because of your amazing videos.

I'm actually inspired to get a dog. :)

Maybe my own Czechoslovakian Wolfdog lol

  • Would the Czech be your first dog? If so, I would HIGHLY discourage you from getting one. You need to understand dogs and how they work by starting with a much more domesticated breed. I have had dogs all my life and a Czech would be a handful even for me. Plus, you need a nice chucn of land to let this dog get enough energy.

Anyways, if you do end up getting a dog I wish you all the luck! Get ready to have the best years of your life!

  • She's really adorable! Are these dogs good with other dogs and people? Because they are beautiful, but I'm affraid they might have a wild wolf-side to them .

  • Beautiful dog

  • cool ,cette vidéo !

  • Swish!

  • its around 50-60 years old but the breed is official since 1999

  • so cute, i'm looking forward to have a czech female in the future, i had a husky before, right now i can't have a dog, but i may go for a czech when coming the time... are they social? I know they need a pack, and i'm ready to spend all my time with her, but any additional warning?

  • you should read alot more about the rase before u get 1. they are lovely but they are often not that social. They need loots of social training to get along with ppl. Its often very hard to get them to stop making their need inside. Often it takes around 1,5 years. and it will always be some "accidents" on the floor;) you should live on the countryside and not in a city/apparment. but they are awonderful breed:>

  • @yidneth they not much social, its special breeds which was make in 50ties during the comunist era for special use for border patrol,to catching a people which try escape ower the border,he almost dosent bark ,but howl a much,he is very loyal until death!my friend have 4 of them.he needs proper training and he usualy listen just one person, so its not the best dog for kids or big family vhere everybody wants giving orders....

  • are you german?

  • hahaha what a dork its soooo cute :D my wolf dogs love the snow

  • So cute! :D She's enjoying it so much, that's adorable, especially when she slipped. XD

  • Beautiful Creature: Can Someone Tell Me What the Music is Playing in this video?

  • ya i want to know two

  • :D:D:D that was soo sweet how she slipped :)

  • that look she got when she sliped-- cracked me up good.

  • beautifull dog

  • It's not the youngest breed anymore, just to clarify =)

Tamaskans, for one, are a lot younger too.

  • cOOL PET MAN i REALLY DIG THE MOVIE AND THE MUSIC oh shit capslock was on sorry

  • aw she/he (idk which one) looks SO CUTE! she/he looks like a wolf! how cute!

  • LMFAO @ :27-:33, he's like, "Nobody saw that, right? K.. I'm good."

  • LOOL yes you'r right

  • very interesting. Its loving the snow :D...

  • i love it

    is so cute !!!!

  • The dog I have now is called a Klee Kai, and it has no wolf blood in it. You can look it up if you like.

"Czech wolfdogs" may have only been around for 54 years, but wolfdogs in general have been around for a 'lot' longer. There is nothing unique about the breeding standard, it kinda works that way for all dogs. Having a Czech Wolfdog as opposed to just a wolfdog is almost a moot point, its simply bragging rights. Not saying that they arn't beautiful dogs, I am looking to get a hybrid myself.

  • I don't know where you get your figures, but dog breeds are continuously being approved in to the UKC and AKC.

I own a breed that has only been around for ~11 years.

Wolf hybrids have been around for a *long* time... way more than 54 years.

  • Jesus, the dog hunts for fish the same way polar bear does ;D

  • I love this!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for posting. I have had two wolves as pets in my lifetime and they are great. Thanks again for posting

  • what is the song playing? great video!

  • are these dogs for gurding livestock?

  • i want 1 but r they common in the USA and where are most breeders?

  • extremely rare outside of europe, most breeders are in czech republic, germany italy..if you want one your gunna have to get it imported. i only know of one breeder in the US that breeds the real deal

  • Actually i been searching for this breed for a while and i have found two breeders in the US. One wud b in virginia... but is hard to get one and one is in Indiana

  • I want one now :)

  • Hey can someone message me about the status of this breed in north america, specifically Canada? I remember hearing it wasn't recognized

  • What's that song! I love it .... and the wolf-dog.

  • these are actual AKC registered dogs. Not wolves, not hybrids of wolfs and dogs, ACTUAL DOGS!

  • but this breed came about by crossing German shepards and Carpathian wolves so dosn't that mean they are part wolf

  • All dogs are essentially part wolf... BUT, the wolf instinct has been bread out of them. This dog was purely bread to look like a wolf and act like a dog. Plus... if it's AKC registered, I would just take their word for it.

    XD

  • Saying all dogs are part wolf is like saying all humans are part ape.

You cant even spell bred.... and your trying to act like you know what your talking about...funny

The wolf instinct is NOT going to be bred out of them in a few breedings, when domesticating an animal, they start to look different, like in Russia when they were domesticating foxes, they started to look like dogs. So thats why dogs look different than wolves today. It also took 50 years with the foxes.

  • Your not going to be able to keep the same wolf look with a different temperament, anyone who tells you that is just trying to sell you the dog and get your money.

"This dog was purely bread to look like a wolf and act like a dog" By saying that you make it sound perfect and easy. Having a dog is a huge responsibility and having a wolfdog is a bigger responsibility.

  • hahaa my saarloos wolfdog has just turned 8 and still acts like a puppy XD

    she does the same thing

  • best slovakian dog ever :)

  • This is a breed of dog, but it's a hybrid. It's a hybrid between a German Shepherd and Eurasian wolf so pretty much most of you are wrong saying it's not a wolf. Look it up if you want.

  • Actually... it depends where you get it from.

In the Uk, where im from, it's great great grandparents were wolves usually...sometimes it might only be 1/8 wolf.

technically, yes..a hybrid.. but it does depend where you go, in order to define how much wolf is actually in the breed

  • This is an actual breed of dog, not a wolf x dog cross or hybrid.

  • aww

    shes beautiful

I'm beginning to look into dog breeders. I've been planning for most of my life to get a dog in the next 3 years. I'm looking at 4 breeds now (or a cross): German shepherd, husky, border collie, and this one. Anyone want to help me out on this? I can look it up but if ya have one could ya let me know about eating habits, size, energy, and even funny details like wolfdogs have different sized maws than sheps and whatnot; anything you think someone would want to know.

  • I LOOOOVE German Shepherds.. btw, this is a BREED OF DOG, not wolf hybrid.. not f1, f2, f3, or even f4.. my uncle has this dog and they are soooo hyper. i mean non stop energy.. they'd make a great work dog

  • right but didnt they just register this breed more recently.

and in the creation they had a good bit of wolf to my understanding.

    either way beautiful dog!

  • i live in the uk and i have a dog exactly like yours and looks like they both have as much fun in the snow, its called a utanagon and where i live its not seen around a lot.

  • ...The reason for this is they are considered "wild animals" and in the U.S. only a zooilogical vet can vacinate "animals not approved for the rabies vacine" i.e. wolves and hybrids (and in most towns dogs must have proof of rabies vacination from a vet before being legal, thus the problem). My family has been breeding hybrids for years, usually Artic Timber and Husky or Malamute crosses. :D

  • Beautiful hybrid! Excellent conformation and looks like she has the personality to match! :D And no, to answer the question, owning hybrid wolves in the U.S. is not illegal. You cannot own fullbloods (and in some places hybrids as well) in most cities and towns that have a "banned" dog list with said animals on it because general veterinarians can't take them if you list them as wolf or hybrid for innoculation against rabies...

  • damn it must suck to live in russia

  • do you know of any czechoslovakian wolfdog breeders in the US?

  • If im not mistaking(i probably am) owning a wolfdog in either US or Canada is illegal. You must carry some sort of permit. Again, do some research, this is what someone told me! Good luck!!

  • It probably is something like a menagerie permit. I don't know why they have such a hard time accepting the czech wolfdog, since essentially the Alaskan Malamute is also a dog/wolf hybrid and there is no problem with having one as a pet in the US. I guess it all has to do with temperament.

  • I know the laws in Oregon say it is fine to own wolf hybrids because they are considered dogs, but owning a full wolf would be different.

But, I have not been able to find any breeders in the US for this breed, I really want to, though lol

  • Its legal in California as long its not the F1 Wolfdog, but then its so hard to tell sometimes because even F2 wolfdogs can look like F1 sometimes. The problem is getting vets to take care of the wolf dog or insurance companies because many don't insure or take care such dogs. You can't even bring a wolfdog into Petsmart.

  • What a beautiful dog!

I'd love to have a hybrid in the future ^^

  • Czechoslovakian Wolfdog

  • My dad works at corrections and he has a czecheslovakian shepherd!!!

  • what song is this?

  • Thanks for the information! You have a wonderful dog!...A real Angel :)

  • Omg i want your pup! lol how is she doing?

  • ¡¡JAJAJAJA Liiiiiindo!!

  • that is the coolest dog i have ever seen

  • 2k$ for a puppy, sad 'cause they're so damn cool.

  • In the year 1955 a biological experiment took place in the CSSR of that time, namely, the crossing of a German Shepherd Dog with a Carpathian Wolf.

  • Qu'il est beau ton chien loup tchecolsovaque^^

  • hey are these dogs well tempered with their wolf genes? I'm czech by heritage so I like these dogs plus they look like wolves awesome!! however i have young nieces so a violent natured animal is out of the question.

  • u should know that some dog breeds are more easily agitated than wolves, the only issue with wolves/wolfdogs is that they are next to impossible to train well and also need a LOT of exercise and sometimes a special diet (so dog food may not be enough)

  • beautiful dog

  • Hi, lovely dog, but what are they like as a breed? I've heard that they could be quite difficult to handle - because of the wolf blood... Is that truth? I noticed you keep him on a lead even when no one is around - would he go off and hunt something??

  • they sure are not the kind of dog for average homes. and by the way - that "lead" is used when training a search dog...

  • shit yo i want one but they are illegal in NY

  • 4real? bsl?

  • beautiful dog/wolf lol

  • what song is this? and what mix is the dog?

  • i really want a czechoslovakian wolfdog(as many people have commented) But to get one i'd probably have to move up north to europe or america ect cause it would be to hot in australia =\

unless theres a wolfdog hybrid designed for australian climate? lol, i doubt it...

    T_T

  • Does Australia even have wolves? I seriously don't know. Maybe you can get a Dingo hybrid!

  • I don't see the point of a dingo hybrid plz explain.

  • I meant a dingo crossed with a domestic dog since the dingo to the extent of my knowledge is pretty much a wild canine.

  • It's thought to have descended from primitive domestic dogs introduced by Southeast Asians.

  • Well, you're all luckey from were I stand, it's difficult for you to get one, but it's not impossible. I live in norway and It's the only country in the world were It's a crime to own them... yeah you heard me they're banned here, so count yourselvs luckey, I have to move to sweden if ever want to own one, and I want to sooo badly, nobody likes the swedish either so it's kind of like having to chose the lesser evil... IT sucks bigtime.

  • Why the lead? She not well trained?

  • watch out my other videos...

  • I want a czechoslovakian wolfdog SO badly, but being in America it looks like I'm going to have to either go to Europe to get one or have to pay to have one shipped to me. Most of the kennels and breeders I've seen so far don't even speak English, but I'm determined to get one. If you have any suggestions let me know!

  • I have the same problem but you can find northern inuits in the us if your persistant if you have'nt seen 'em befor i would suggest checkin them out there gorgeous
