I have also seen a tech sheet with cybertron in robot mode, i remember the comics having a history of their being 12-13 transformers orginially one betrays primus and follows unicron he then became the fallen (Not the crappy micheal bay one) also the game i see you all talk about is wrong as well thats an orginial take on the transformers origin as Zeta prime wasn't the prime before Optimus was. It was Sentinal Prime who was before Optimus not Zeta.

@Allannon500 "Transformers the war within series and the stat books for primus, the transformers game isnt the cannon of the origins its just them taking their take on it in an original, but the game, and to see more back info on the ionic trawnsfotmers check out their spot light comics but i recommend trying to get a hold of megatron origins comic its great and tells a few thing that no one knows

@Allannon500 The books you need for primus are simply transformers stat books all they are are books which give you information on all the transformers, and the series containing the fallen issues is the war within series however the series itself is divided i cant recall the exact name but its the second arc of the series which contains him

The reason Unicron pulled his leg off, was in a attempt to find the source of the energy which was destroying him, at least that body. The energy was that of his old foe, Primus, creator of the Transformers and also the core of Cybertron. The energy was held inside the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, which when released started to destroy Unicron's body. The energy also transformed the young Autobot Hot Rod, into the Autobot's new leader, Rodimus Prime.

@jammit091978 i feel the need to point out that primus was not in the original series american release(the first release) and that at best he should be considered retconned in also the whole primus/unicron story depends on where you get the information as the story has had three almost completly differnt tellings in an attmept to make him part of the gen 1 mythos

In the New game "Transformers War for Cybertron", In the core of Cybertron, Primus spoke to Optimus prime while Ironhide and the others wait for him, so Primus opened the core and gave him the Matrix of Leadership.

@jammit091978 Where did you find out about Primus because I thought it was the Qintessons if I spelled their name right who created the Transformers and what about A3/Alpha Trion. I'm going by the original cartoon though so I never heard about Primus unless I missed something.

@Allannon500 Primus and Unicron's backstory was revealed in the Marvel UK Transformer line, penned by Simon Furman. Primus and Unicron were both trapped inside large metallic asteroids, which Unicron shaped his into the planet mode, then robot mode. Primus shaped his into a planet called Cybterton and populated it with the Transformers. IMO The Quintessons found Cybertron, and enslaved the inhabitants during the Dark Age of Cyberton, probably not long after the Fallen was defeated.

@Allannon500 TBH, i never liked how Primacon was the creator of Unicron... I much prefer the whole Unicron/Primus backstory and with how in later TF series (Beast Wars etc), mention was made of how all TF's have a soul in the form of a spark, and that the Matrix not only holding the wisdom of all Primes but also holding the lifeforce of Primus (source of wisdom) makes a lot more sense in the movie how it destroyed Unicron... temporarily. I don't think Unicron can die, unless Primus dies as well

@jammit091978 Yeah when I saw it I didn't think it fit with Unicron, and I'm sure your like me that Tornatron could never outdo Unicron. I did like that about Beast Wars because it did make sense as how the transformers have feelings and such. Well there are coming out with Tranformers Headmasters and I will get it at some point, and I wonder if they will have any mention of Primus, and I will rewatch Beast Wars to see what I might have missed because now I will know to look for it.

The energy being the life force of his brother Primus, which was counterproductive to his own existence. Makes sense, as Primus was the last of the Gods of Light and Unicron the last of the Gods of Darkness... Matter/Antimatter explosion more or less...

yeah, but with the direction things are going with the live action movie, there obviously no way to duplicate the ANYTHING close to the original. let's just be glad that he didn't screw up the decepticon and autobot symbols. bay should just stick to extreme slow motion shots of megan fox, robot testicles and very big explostions.

Nice, but for this choice of song the videos should have featued all Decepticon victories, not an Autobot win. The death of Optimus Prime definitely should have been part of this video. Along with a lot of the Autobot death scenes at the beginning of the movie. Perhaps some other scenes of Decepticon combiners beating Autobots throughout G1.  This song was the end of all hope, but by the end of the video hope was alive and well.
