I hate mac and mac software, it's too simplistic and patronising. I prefer windows and linux. My old dell 3.8ghz HT pc with 2gig ram can run counter-strike, websites, download stuff and listen to music as well as have adobe software open without even slowing down. Where as my imac G5 with higher specs is slow and laggy.

Apple is trying something new, and I believe they knew that many would be disappointed with the lack of features, that's why when you install it, it doesn't overwrite Imovie 06... and if like me, you foolishly uninstalled Iwork 06, there is the option to download it free from apples web site. I know what you are talking about, but it's a work in progress.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Interesting. It looks that they were trying to make a program similar to iPhoto but for movies. If they would have combined the two programs, it would have been brilliant. Also, certain .mov files which are encoded using certain codecs (Including Apple codecs) are not compatible with the new iMovie. Sad.
