  • @rosenfeldstudios So, if I am buying a MacBook, would you advice me to buy MS Office for Mac or iWork?

  • ms office...my entire family have macs, and none of them spent their money on a program from a computer system that clearly does not work as well doing business things. macs are better at most things in my opinion, but microsoft is so much better with that type of stuff. trust me on this one

  • iwork for a living

  • Outlook 2007 is driving Ponzi nuts? How so? I love it! :)

  • i like pages and keynotes but numbers cant do half of what excel can when it comes to functions and graphs.

  • I don't think it's designed to be an Excel killer. I think it's designed to make the spreadsheet-creation process easier (for home users and stuff).

And plus, it's still a version 1.0 application.

  • Yes exacty, its made for simplicity, and ease of use. Perfectly I love it, and I think it works like a charm

  • I used Microsoft Office for Mac far ages and didn't really give iWork the time of day. After hearing great things about iWork '08 I decided to get it and two days later I uninstalled Office.

  • Chris Pirillo- what RAM do you have?

    2GB or 4GB

  • This video is slicker than snot!

  • what mac is he using macbook? not the pro one right?

  • i can only wish a macbook pro was $69

  • he's using the pro

  • Does iLife really comes with macbook pro 2008 model which is updated. or is there a 30 day trail for iLife?

  • It comes free on every Mac he just upgraded.

  • does anyone know how much the ilife cd is?

  • About $80. Or $40 if you goto college.

  • I doubt shes with him cus of his money. Shes interested in alot of the same things all though she isnt as tech savy she likes it.

  • I like this video.

  • can someone tell me if ilife comes with the macs preloaded cause im getting a macbook soon

  • It does, 30 day trial iWork '08 and FULL iLife '08!!!!!

  • you fucking retard.

    that "chick" is Chris's wife.

    have some fucking respect.

  • who the fuck are you to call him a dork. That dude is one of the most awesome guys you'll find on youtube. No wonder ponzi is with him. They're a great couple. Atleast he's making a living, unlike you you low life scumbag. You and vbsmch... you lot are a waste of space, with nothing better to do than criticize other peoples lives, because your own ones suck. So, go screw yourself!

Chris Pirillo AND Ponzi Pirillo F.T.W!!!! :D

  • Why iMovie should be library? Ihave 120GB harddisk and ten times more raw movies.

  • Is that hot chick his girlfriend? But he's such an annoying geek!

  • i can read power point files execl and word and use just like windows some one asked in chat

  • i agree on your review. iWork 08 is the perfect apple anti office app. It makes it so easy to make presentations without having to have a buisness degree

  • wtf is up with the dog lol :P

  • cool review!

  • speaking of which. photo gallery uploads to flickr

  • office 2007 professional for students in australia - $15. as for the pc equivalent of iLife -- all in vista (cept for garageband). i mean photo gallery and movie maker... all of them.

  • how did he put a video over 10min

  • Director account.

  • lol windows? No thanks!

Macs are clearly better for amily and professional stuff.

  • family*

  • I agree, pages and keynotes are much better looking and user-friendly than word and powerpoint. I don't know much about excel vs. numbers.

  • how did you upload more than 10 min of video???

  • yeah! how!

  • u have to be a director

  • how do you become a director

  • you gotta know people!!! trust me i know alot of directors and producers.

  • Do you have a lot off spare time??

  • man shes hot.... :D

  • The new iMovie looks like a rip of Movie Maker, though ALOT nicer.

About coding in notepad GET A HIGHLIGHTER and start using CSS (you sayed you only used html).

Setting up adsence... yeah now we don't have to copy paist?

  • What is trolling?

  • some one trying to start an heated argument.

  • i really hate the fact that Chris is in love with apple now

  • Yea I can't believe he fall for the tricks Apple uses.

  • Yes, it's the "it just works" trick! And the "Stablity" trick!

  • Which both are lies.

  • Haven't been lies when I used it! Try again!

  • You don't believe in lies, you have to show them.

  • Already did! Have a good life! I'll have a good ilife!

  • This video is "slicker than snot!"

  • Boys wil be boys. But not infront of the ladys Chris :-)

  • you should use camtasia or something so we can see the screen better

  • You should check out the Apple Media Event video thing on Apple website > quicktime > apple event. Steve Jobs talks about iLife and that iWeb thing you just discovered in a nutshell.

  • What is 'Picasa'... I've never heard of it. What makes it better than iPhoto.

I've been really impressed with iPhoto.

  • apple is amazing and they will soon control the tech world

  • Mac sucks.

  • Pool56k, do you EVER stop trolling? Seriously, man... just stop.

  • Fuck you are a dumbass have you fuck too many times with your sister already?

  • Yeah we got board with it after the first time unline you.

  • Aside from Imovie, ilife 08 is great, especially garageband 08. The magic garageband is great to play around with.

  • I hate mac and mac software, it's too simplistic and patronising. I prefer windows and linux. My old dell 3.8ghz HT pc with 2gig ram can run counter-strike, websites, download stuff and listen to music as well as have adobe software open without even slowing down. Where as my imac G5 with higher specs is slow and laggy.

  • USE YOUR MAC ON YOUR 30INCH AND GET THE PROGRAM iSHOW YOU so can see what your doing in your videos

  • Why did you use all the big words? lol.

  • You have me sold on the iLife and the iWork !!

  • what? adsense?

    whats that

  • at the end you were like a child on Christmas morning

  • But it's maaaaaaacccccc lol

  • The only app worth getting is keynote?? I don't think so, because of Number, I have stopped using MS office which was running on a windows 2003 server. I put everything on the mac and it runs much better, Numbers is easy to use, full of features, everything you need, plus its pretty!

  • Uhhhh recording your voice as a .mp3? That is what garage band does? That isn't all that amazing to do with 4 button presses.

  • right on, i have been a raw coder since 95 for just about every language I use.

  • Pinnacle Studio 11.1 supports AVCHD in Windows

  • Heh. I couldn't get it to work. ;)

  • Is Pinnacle Studio 11 worth it?

  • Sounds like Windows: Even pro-geeks don't get it to work, sometimes. But that's no problem at all, because a few month from now there will be 1000+ apps who claim to support it. And everybody just has to try which one will collaborate with his own freedom-of-choice-configuration. The big Windows working app easter egg hunt...must be fun for the kids...

  • Nerdgasim?

  • I am dropping MS Office on my Macs and will be using IWork

  • i do use open office, neooffice

  • chris as become a mac fanfoy

  • iMovie 08 is a disaster. Some features are nice, but I am very dissapointed.

  • Apple is trying something new, and I believe they knew that many would be disappointed with the lack of features, that's why when you install it, it doesn't overwrite Imovie 06... and if like me, you foolishly uninstalled Iwork 06, there is the option to download it free from apples web site. I know what you are talking about, but it's a work in progress.

  • Yeah, I noticed that too. Interesting. It looks that they were trying to make a program similar to iPhoto but for movies. If they would have combined the two programs, it would have been brilliant. Also, certain .mov files which are encoded using certain codecs (Including Apple codecs) are not compatible with the new iMovie. Sad.
