  • 5:35

    "Woah!"

  • And a great Bass Solo from George Mratz, the "Bouncing Czech"...

  • ZAMBA!!!!

  • Everything was amazing, but man, that summertime lick in byron's solo was sooo cool

  • WOW! That was incredible!!!

  • lol check out the piano players feet

  • haha, yea i luv that, these guys are just as fun to watch as to watch, they are so into it, i need my combo to start looking like that

  • Byron Stripling DOES sound great here. That's a fact.

  • wow, this is amazing, too bad i wasnt even born yet, haha

  • Oh thanks. But I thought that Byron plays better.

  • he is not my favorite trumpet player also.

  • Oh thanks. I thought Byron stripling could play a little bit better.

  • Does anyone of you know who is the trumpet player in this video?

  • check the info at the right hand side of the page

  • hahahahaha at 4:22 steve did a noteair hahahaha

  • Steve Turre is the man!

  • I'm just here for some antonio

  • Thank you.

  • ME TOO

  • Byron doesn't have a large tone? Have you ever heard him in person? The guys sound is HUGE! He plays a custom Schilke MPC copy of an older Bach 1 1/4 that Scott Laskey made for him some years ago , very large...

  • What ever! I just don't like the way he plays and solos compared to an Arturo Sandoval or Chuck Findley. Byron isn't at that level yet. That's my opinion and I'm sicking to it. You have yours and I respect that. I think I know a little about the subject being a musician and an ex-trumpet player for over 20 years...

  • Ex trumpet player? You don't play anymore?! (Are you in this video?)

  • No not in this vid... sorry

  • OMFG that bassist is AMAZING!!!

  • the best

  • You may be an EX-Trumpet player, but AM a professional TRUMPET player over 20 years now. I believe I know what I'm talking about friend-o, true, we ALL have our opinion, I do agree that Byron is not in the class with Findley (watch the CHEROKEE battle-Findley outplays Sandoval, Stripling & Brecker, outplays them in terms of musical ideas that is.)

Just don't think you're the only pro musician here.

  • yeah dude findley on that video is so fun to watch

  • I believe that's George Mraz on bass. He has one of the best bass tones ever and phenomenal technique.

  • What? What? What?

  • So, so..

  • sick ass trumpet solo!

  • Byron Stripling knows how to play through certain embouchure problems he has had for many years. The first problem is that he uses a shallow mouthpiece, and the guy has very thick lips. The second problem is because of the shallow mouthpiece he doesn't have a large sound or tone on the trumpet, but that's just an opinion of a musician with 20 plus years experience. --Bye-

  • doesn't he use a BACH 1B mouthpiece (this wouldn't be shallow...)???

  • I don't know what number mouthpiece he uses but the man has embouchure problems, this is well documented. Checkout his solo and if your an experienced trumpet player you will agree with me.

  • Amazing

  • Thanks for the comment...
