I've read that Elizabeth Montgomery liked the Serena character better than the Samantha character as she was a lot closer to her real personality than the goody goody Samantha.
Ron Meagher was also featured on "They'll Make You Cry", the b-side to "Just a Little", taken from the BB's first lp ("Introducing the Beau Brummels"). They were a much underrated group at the time. All of their Autumn label material is top-quality rock n roll.
i agree, i don't think they got much airplay in th uk at the time, i've only found the one uk pye 45, but i got the first two autumn us albums (one signed) and the early 45s, excellent sound
Back in the 60's I wrote to a penfriend living in Londonderry who said she never heard of the Beau Brummels. So I sent her a US disc of "Just a Little".
Then in the 70's I was with the American Air Force stationed in the UK. In a Bedford department store (Braggins of Bedford) I bought the Pye International lp, "Introducing the Beau Brummels".
I read somewhere online that Radio Caroline had played several BB imports. (When Autumn folded in 66, their contract was with Warner Bros.)
yeah, i got the pye 45 of 'laugh, laugh', i could imagine RC playing them....it's unfortunate warner bros. have their back catalogue, i'm not a fan of the major labels....they pull quite a lot of their tracks from youtube...they think they own everything...i wonder how they got on with royalties from them.
Although one doesn't have a whole lot to do with the other, Elizabeth Montgomery and The Beau Brummels' "Gentle Wondering Ways"-both about as good as it gets.
it's true, but it's better than looking at a blank screen...i dont watch the show much, except as a kid but i happened to be watching an episode when this song came to mind....
My favorite episode of Bewitched is the one where Darrin brings home an important client only to find Samantha, Serena, Endora and Aunt Clara naked, sacraficing a small child in the living room. It was a true laugh riot.
More like the Beau Hazelwoods...

Wasn't Ron Elliot the one with the froggy, Johnny Cash-esque voice?
potaluca 2 years ago
i'd post more brummels but they tend to get pulled by warner brothers quite regular.

That's not Sal Valentino on lead voc. Could it be Ron Elliot the guitar player and driving force of the band? Anyone know?

One of my favorite Beau Brummels tunes!

I believe this is the only tune the Beau Brummels ever recorded with Ron Meagher handling the lead vocal. He sounds a bit like Johnny Cash.

really?, he should have done more, has some depth....

He does sound like him.

The voice is not as deep, but yeah, maybe a smaller Johnny Cash
