Mr. Vengeance, Old Boy, and Lady Vengeance...... what a trilogy!!

this is the first film in the Vengeance trilogy with Oldboy and Lady Vengeance to follow. if you watch the series you'll notice the movies get more artsy as they progress. Sympathy for Mr Vengeance is my favorite because it's the most raw of the series.

I watched Oldboy first, then I watched Lady Vengeance and then I watched this one last. For me this one is the best of the the 3. The other 2 are more "clean" and are more like "man, what the f****". This one hits you slower but hits you harder because it so disturbing. I think you have to give it time because when I first saw it I had to stop after 30minut. It's only when you get to the credits that you see how good this movie is.

While i personally liked OldBoy the best out of 3, I liked the theme in this one the most of all. Never ending cycle of revenge that carried through out of the movie and you can't help to feel sympathetic to every single character in their own situation. And the dark humour as well, numerous occasions i laugh out loud and felt guilty right away for laughing at it.

One word. Gravity.. Most realistic tone out of all of his works which makes it more devastating. Revenge creates a void. Violence has consequences and PCW focuses on the consequences. I wouldn't mind seeing him do a war movie because people never think of the consequences.

i am sad that this movie didnt get much attention. it is the best among the revenge series!! i liked the dark humors in it. n the plot is like frighteningly realistic, grotesque nightmare

The most disturbing movie I've ever seen. I actually felt sick at the end, and it's not just because of the blood. Didn't really like it to be honest, but it isn't one of those movies that your suppose to like, it sets out to make you feel like crap and depressed and it works. I'll probably watch it again sometime since I love oldboy and lady vengeance.

This movie... truly disturbing in the level of attachment that occurs while they are killed off one by one. Ugh, I'm still a bit bothered by it. Well, If you liked Oldboy, this is a must.

wow, keep the films authenticity in the trailer, don't completely ruin it with stupid conventions seen in typical action films to try and make it appealing to us Westerners...Despite this disgusting trailer, this film is for sure a piece of underated work of art.

you can find these at most Blockbusters now, Oldboy had me rolling on the floor with hysteria it is like one of the best movies EVER made anywhere period. Lady Vengeance had some very nice cinematography, but this movie just plain rattled me from start to finish, a real piece of fine entertainment.
