So, my only working GC memory card atm is a third party one. Can I put it in slot B for the AR to use, then switch it to slot A once the game loads to use for it?

So basically this dosen't work at all anymore unless you have an old unupdated wii.

...first launch it from homebrew channel then select either IOS36, 249 or 250(recommended), afterwards install it from NUS which requires a Wi-Fi connection, then you should be good to go, if done correctly, when you launch AR 1.14 you should get a black screen with letters saying it is launching AR, Although for me, it's working for me but sometimes I get a black screen error.

@supersprudel4427: Well, if you are having trouble installing the MIOS, try using WiiGator patched v5 or v10; it's an app that will help you install the necessary ios in order to successfully run AR 1.14.

I have done everything you said, but when its starting to install MIOS patcher, it says:

"You need a techa-bug (or something) to install this software. installation failed".

@ticklemetanooki You need a memory card that's not put out by nintendo in slot B. I suggest the madcatz memory card. You can find it at gamestop.

@JustinAkaRetard, the same thing happened to me. Did you ever have to update your wii? Because if you did, ios249 will no longer work. Try using ios250. It works perfectly for me. Even after updates.

Every time i click a pn ios249 my wii freezes, and i have no ios236, also i had this before working, and i havent gone on my wii for a while, and now it doesnt work, any advice?

And also, I had the same result with IOS249. It made me do the wii system update. Then after I updated the first time it happened, IOS249 would no longer work. So I just switched to IOS250 because it worked after all the times I updated. But Both of those IOS's make you do an update when you go to play a wii game. Is there any IOS that doesn't get detected and that works so you don't have to do an update?

@FrankJudi There is a work around, you can install 'Priiloader' and find a hacks.ini for your system menu. In the Priiloader hacks menu there should be an option to disable disc updates.

This works perfectly, but there's one flaw. Not a big deal, though. When you go to play a wii game. It makes you do a wii system update. In other words, it detects the mios you installed and if you accept the update, it removes the mios. So in order to play the wii games, you have to accept the update. Then if you want to use action replay again, you have to install the mios once again. I'm not sure if this has to do with the ios version I installed, though. I installed IOS250.

Hey man I just had to reply and say great job on the tutorial, it worked for me i have a 4.3 and your video was short and sweet unlike some of the others i've watched. The only thing i would comment on though is when you are showing the MIOS patcher and you say to use a IOS 249 or 236 it would be a big help to actually change it to that iny our vid. Besides that thanks alot man i owe ya one.
