  • Hi Donna,

This is a beautiful tune. Who wrote it and where can one get the sheet music? Thanks.

    -Eby

  • Eby- it is a lovely and easy piece, written by Pamela Bruner and included in her wonderful "Learn to Play the Harp Beautifully", book 1.

  • Lovely tune! Is that the harp you made?

  • No, it is the Heartland DreamWeaver. I made the MusiKits Limerick model, with design modifications.

The piece is by Pamela Bruner in her first Play the Harp Beautifully book. It is easy and sounds good- what more could you ask. Thanks, Donna.

  • Hi, Donna! Love the piece and love the dragonflies! The harp sounds lovely, too! Is that one that you built?

  • Glad you like the piece- it is my favorite tune. That harp is a Dreamweaver by Heartland Harps. It has 34 strings and a curved soundbox, so you don't have to tilt it. I like it a lot. The one I built is the walnut Rainbow harp seen in the first harp video here. I like it too, it is very pretty, but with just 26 strings and awkward handling I don't use it much. I prefer the bigger floor harp.

  • Thanks Butterfly and Harper Gigs- glad to hear that you think I've improved.

  • Great work, Donna. You've really come a long way.

    Barb

  • Yes I noticed them! Especially the nice blueish one next to your left hand. It is sort of sparkly. How did you do them? Decals?

  • The dragonflies are just inexpensive removable decals bought at the hobby store. I wish they were larger, but this will do for now. Someday I will get a better birned and painted design on there as I did for the Rainbow harp.

  • Sounds awesome, Donna! Great job!

  • Hi Donna! Nice seeing you again! The sound of your harp always impresses me so much! It is such a rich, warm sound. Just enviable! Nice playing, too!

    Happy harping,

    Mary

  • Thanks Mary. It is a nice sounding harp with lots of strings. Did you notice the dragonflies on the soundboard? Someday I'd like to burn and paint a better decoration, but these will do for now. Donna
