exactly players sucked. They fell apart without Magic. The 1st year after jordan retired the bulls still made the playoffs with a good record and made it past the first round without him. They were good without jordan. the 2nd time they got rid of all their players thats why they sucked as well.

The team he won rings with completely dismantled, and he had to start from scratch in rebuilding mode. To go from that and win a ring again, I think is way harder to do than what mj did. And the definition of several could be 3,4 or 5 years. However long he plays, I think he is in excellent position to get one more ring.

kobe has 4 and still has plenty of years left. When MJ won his rings, bird was already retired, and magic was old. It is well known that the 90s didnt have great competition. Players today are much bigger, stronger, athletic and just better. Mj never had to deal with that

I'm not gonna go out here and say Kobe is the GOAT but let me just ask u where u would currently rank him right now? IMO he's definitely top 10 and probably even top 5 right now. However, the one thing i disagree with u is the point that jordan never lost in the finals. I just don't see that as a valid reason. by saying that, you're basically saying that Kobe and the Lakers would've been better off losing in the western conference finals than in the nba finals and i disagree with that.

It's an impressive accomplishment that Jordan never lost with the finals. What i'm trying to say is that Jordan has lost in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round in his career. Are you saying that a player would've been better off losing in the conference finals as opposed to the NBA finals? Wouldn't Jordan wish he made it to the finals and lost rather than lose in the first round?

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant's style of playing basketball is frighteningly similar. but MJ is the one who perfected it. took it to its 100% potential. and Im not saying Kobe wont ever get there. Im saying that Kobe will eventually get there. but it'll be too little too late. kobe is probably at 89% of his full potential michael was at his prime from day one. just needed at little tweaks and a little adjustments over a 4 year piston beating. then. there you go. the best ever!

now, we can all argue for or against bryant, we all know they are both great players, but all i have to say, this is a awsome video. A couple years ago when i was playen in highschool, i watched this video countless times and it pumped me up.....i dont know if anyone can do what micheal did, but right now, kobe is the closest to mj. lebron has potential, kobe could, but as of right now, mj is the greatest.

Wrong. In SOME of the years of Jordan's era, scoring was up compared to now. And in some of them (mid 90s on) the scoring was lower. That's why the nba changed the rules to help increase perimeter scoring.

Tallest year in nba history was 86-87 and there is nobody currently playing stronger than Karl Malone, Shaq, or Anthony Mason, 3 Jordan era players. Hell, wilt could bench 500 lbs, more than Shaq.

Wrong again. The 92 lakers didnt' suck, they won 43 games and still made the playoffs without magic. Worthy is a top 50 player and hall of famer, but any time you take a top 5 all time player off a team there will be an impact. Jordan beat the lakers WITH Magic. Jordan also beat the 2 time defending champion pistons in 91. No way around it.

How many could take over a game by themselves? Karl Malone once scored 61 points in 33 minutes on 26 shots. Wilkins took games over all the time. Magic controlled games like nobody before or since. Robinson once scored 71 pts in a game. Mark Jackson, Parish, and Kemp are not top 50 players. Drexler was a big athletic guard and Jordan had better stats against him thatn against almost anyone else. Jordan played his best against the best.

No two playes have "exactly" the same style of play. Kobe shoots more jumpers than MJ does, doesn't penetrate as much, post as much, or run the triangle the same way. And no, their moves are not all the same. Kobe has mastered a lot. Now let's see if he can shoot 47% for a season. MJ did that or better 10 seasons.
