The love traingle is implied in order to bring the stated theme (love) closer to the subject matter (Super Smash). Calling this disturbing is kind of like calling "Lolita" disturbing, but not quite like calling Teletubbies disturbing.
I agree with you- the singer is quite good. He's also in a kickass band called the Benthamites, playing at bars and fraternity houses throughout Ithaca, NY.

Like others have mentioned the original guy is good but this new addition rap is a little disturbing, like is he insinuating an interspecies relationship between Peach and Starfox? That breaks all sorts of rules of acceptability..
I feel I have a right to defend myself here. The main insinuation is a relationship between DK and Peach. While there is the allusion of a DK/Peach/Starfox love triangle- "Peach, she keeps clamorin for Starfox, we starcrossed," Starfox is mainly a threat to DK and Peach: "runnin' for cover from the raygun," "I'll be there before Fox can get his glock off."

Holy crap DK and Peach?!?! That's even creepier than what I was thinkin' with fox-woman beastiality. I'm not trying to hate, just wondering why love triangles always need to be implied between various characters and how much more disturbing it gets when Nintendo characters (many of whom are animals) get involved. I still like the regular song and the singer though.
