I can wear these for hours at a time and there super comfortable. As far as sounds goes they are loud enough to cancel out sound but they have very crisp sound for how loud they are. And if your paying $180 for these headphones i think it is a good buy for the price vs the $350 beats by dre headphones. So overall i would rate these headphones a 9 out of 10.
I love my aviators... I have big ears too but if you put some pressure on the ear parts and pull them down over the bottom of your ear lobes and then tighten them until they are on your head nice and snug you can keep them on comfortably for at least an hour and a half.
"Maybe I'll never find a good pair of headphones that i can wear for 9-10 hours" ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE WAS A BOY WITH UNIQUE EARS. ADVENTURE BEGINS FOR THE PERFECT PAIR OF HEADPHONES! WITH HIS LOYAL COMPANIONS: SCRUFFY AND STEVE. THE ADVENTURE OF ABNORMAL PROPORTIONS BEGINS! You should have tested them for a week to allow time for the headphones to burn in. I know you said there are other reviews out there but everyones ears are different. Would you consider doing an updated review?
@iLLestBrotherAlive I can certainly do another review! I'll try to get it out sometime next week. I'll elaborate more on the important details, like comfort and sound. Anything specific you want me to talk about?
@Guiness5000 Well performance is most important to me and then build quality. How have these held up after you being acquainted with them? What are some of the things you noticed about these headphones that you did not notice before when you first got them?
Hey I have the skullcrushers and lowriders and I am looking at getting these. However I have one concern, how much sound do these leak. If I am listening to them in my living room will my family hear it like say 5 feet away? Thanks
If you DO want bass, get the Skullcandy Skullcrushers. Straight up. I have them, and they have built in bass amplified subwoofers. There is also a subwoofer controller on the wire about 2 feet from the headphone jack that controls how much bass you want.
Like so people can see which headphones to get for bass. :)
Hey Im from Seaforth Ontaruio and for my birthday last week I got the skullcandy uprocks and i have already had to replace them twice!!! Don't buy the uprocks!! But, I am hoping to now purchase these, this review helped solidify my decision now I just have to get twohundred bucks.
@Rusty298 I bought my aviators in Sept 2010 and they're still going strong. You can actually get a pair of the aviators on ebay for less than $100 but just be careful that you don't buy a fake (you know that a headphone is good when people make fake copies of it). I also recently bought a pair of SOL Republic HD Tracks. I got those for $120 on ebay and they're better (overall) than my Aviators, Sony MDR-V700s, and Beats Pros so look into that if you're interested.
i have a pair of these. they have great sound quality and comfort but they sound isolation is horrible. barely blocks out sound at all which is a big con for me cause im always in a noisy place. im thinking about returning them and saving money getting hesh. idk what do you think?
@TheSilas117 Yeah, I noticed that too... If you only use them in loud places, I suggest getting something that completely blocks the noise. But good luck finding something around the same price with the same sound quality.
ONce you wear them for awhile your ears wont ache anymore. Its something that takes time. I had that complaint too when i got my first pair of skull candy headphones 2 years ago. Now I dont feel a thing.
I too wish the cans were a little bigger. Bass wise they can put out a lot especially with the sound card in my computer. :) i use them for PC gaming, music and movies and am not disappointed!
@yoitsDavidi I would imagine that it's just hype. I haven't tried them myself, but the only thing that could possibly be better is the bass. I wouldn't pay an extra $200 for that slight improvement.
@yoitsDavidi They are still the same quality, but I never played them louder than 50%. As long as you take good care of them, they'll last a hell of a long time. :) Actually, if I could criticize one more thing, is that I wish they were noise canceling. I know that's not advertised, but that would have been a great thing to have.
@guiness5000 hey hows the gold color on the metal holding up? does it fade away that it looks two tone..like gold and silver because i wanna get the brown ones but dont know if the gold will start to fade any thoughts?
@shaggyl33t the mic would definitely work. I'm just unsure about the controls. I'm pretty sure the controls are iOS specific. Then again, I have not tried on a Droid... Only my computer.. Haha :P I'm sure maybe someone else knows.
@ANPB6221 I haven't personally used beats myself, but from looking at other reviews, Roc Nation Aviators are certainly up there with them. For being like $200 cheaper, I'd go with Roc Nation Aviators. Not too much difference.
Man yo, that shit does look pretty BA

Are they very tight? I am thinking to change to these as they are smaller. I have enough of tight headphones.

@huntkcreations They don't leak too much. As long as you're not blasting them, it should be fine.
