@hoglymogly Barbaric is pretending humans are not elements of nature with a right to survive in the way nature intended. The weak perish, being human makes it no different. The world cannot afford to be slowed down by psychos especially the people who burn whole families to death as they sleep.
How often does that happen in the UK? Feels like every year. hoglymogly do you even know that?
Go live in one of the worst parts of London with your family, give it a few years you will want it
Really? Virginia, South Dakota and Louisiana have set execution dates and Missouri, Ohio, Florida, Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Alabama are starting their executions up this summer.
So one again-YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! IN YO MOTHAF****N FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!
It's as if life stopped for the close families! This sentence is barbarian. Human is prone to make mistake in whatever he does because he can never be perfect. Especially when it comes to judgement... You miss a very very very small detail and you are done. The innocent becomes guilty and you legally but wrongfully take his life away!
More than 3500 men and woman have received this sentence in California since 1978 and NOT ONE has been released, except those few individuals who were able to prove their innocence.
John Mcrae got LWOP in the 50's for the torture and murder of a little boy in Michigan. His sentence was commuted by the governor after 21 years and he went free. He then killed 4 more boys in Florida and Michigan.
The millions of dollars in savings could be spent on: education, roads, police officers and public safety programs, after-school programs, drug and alcohol treatment, child abuse prevention programs, mental health services, and services for crime victims and their families.
If the death penalty was replaced with a sentence of Life Without the Possibility of Parole*, which costs millions less and also ensures that the public is protected while eliminating the risk of an irreversible mistake, the money saved could be spent on programs that actually improve the communities in which we live
The High Cost of the Death Penalty The death penalty is much more expensive than life without parole because the Constitution requires a long and complex judicial process for capital cases. This process is needed in order to ensure that innnocent men and woman are not executed for crimes they did not commit, and even with these protections the risk of executing an innocent person can not be completely eliminated.
YOU SAID TAXES ! IF YOU WANNA PAY NO TAXES YOU HAVE TO KILL EVERY CRIMINAL THEY DID SOMETHIN'WRONG AND PEOPLE THEY HAD SEX WITHOUT CONDOM AND HAVE HIV ...ARE U STUPID! AMERICA HAS NO FRIENDS ANYMORE YOU CAN ASK THE MOST PEOPLE IN EUROPE OR IN OTHER COUNTRYS WE DON't like THE US AND 90 Countrys and more also israel say that dp is wrong! TE MAJORITY HAS ALWAYS RIGHT! AND PUBLIC VOTES ARE NOT RIGHT BECAUSE NOT EVERY HUMAN KNOWS ABOUT PRO AND CONTRA DEATH PENALTY ! THAT IS FAIR .
americans are liars ...you executed teenagers and people with mental'illness you're associal
every human has a right to live until he die (maximum age) if the murderer has no right to live the victim wouldn't also have the right to live and it was right to kill the victim, then. THINK ABOUT EQUAL RIGHTS A MURDERER IS A HUMAN
WE ARE AGAINST DEATH PENALTY IN AUSTRALIA , EUROPE ...and overall ! I don't know any person who supports the death penalty !
I don't have a problem with executing people unless it is done the right way and done humanely. All of these European apologists on here who advocate for the end to it would probably have let monsters like Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin walk free for their crimes. As a United States tax-payer who also pays taxes to the State of Washington, it is not cost effective to feed, clothe, and house inmates for heinous crimes that have been proven without a doubt. They serve no purpose to society anymore.
New Jersey has not used the death penalty in 40 years anyway, and they found every excuse to save every killer on death row. Deterring crime from a premeditated perspective is not the death penalty's purpose anyway.
Executions will pick up in 2008 when the lethal injection method is declared unconstitutional. Amnesty International needs to mind their own business, and let justice be served. Just because other countries have abolished it does not mean they are against it overall.
Some people will never change, and will pose a threat to the public and even to prison officials. The death penalty is a necessary evil.

Gerry Gibbons spent time in prison for perjury and money laundering for a drug trafficker, why should we believe what he says?
