  • YOU GOOOO MAMA!!! TOM D.

  • Is she from Omaha?

  • @MrOuthouse59 ...not sure, but that was my understanding...back in the day.. She was played on local stations (station?) and touted as the female Elvis..Was the D.J. Sandy Jackson?

  • @MrOuthouse59 Janis Martin was promoted as the female Elvis, not Sparkle Moore

  • @Shoknifeman You are both right. Nobody cornered the market on being touted as "The Female Elvis". Janis Martin and Sparkle Moore were both billed as a "Female Elvis"...among others. Sparkle played the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines, Iowa in '56 or '57 and the radio stations, KIOA in particular pushed her as an Elvis type Femme Fatale.

  • @MrRecordbuyer oh ok, still, RCA who owned Elvis' contract were the ones who promoted Janis Martin as the female Elvis; legally, no one else could be ;) haha... it's all cool Mr Outhouse ^_^

  • The real Sparkle moore from the 50's is returning this saturday. she is getting inducted into the rock and roll iowa hall of fame at the arnolds clark roof garden ballroom

  • @catz731 It was really really unbelievable seeing a legend like Sparkle at the induction ceremony! A big thank-you to the IRRMA for inducting Sparkle!

  • The real Sparkle moore from the 50's is returning this saturday. she is getting inducted into the rock and roll iowa hall of fame at the arnolds clark roof garden ballroom

  • She sounds like an old drunk! But how I love Sparkle Moore.

  • She's my Queen!

  • Real cool Rockabilly

  • Now THAT is the way to play an electric guitar....unfortunately, weve been subjected to that horrible "screeching cat/metal" guitar style ever since Jimmi Hendrix ruined Rock n Roll

  • love it.....got anymore of this obscure singer? (and yeah Finobini, shes gorgeous!....or was 50 yrs ago, at least)

  • Great song and good looking gal too

  • whos playing the great guitar?..grady martin??

  • cd notes... say that she recorded five numbers at The boulevard Studios in Chicago nov..1956 ..and she was backed by ... Dan Belloc's rhythm section.

  • dang have'nt heard this song in a long time badass song though
