for all of you idiots out there this is a picture of Schloss (castle) Neuschwanstein. Its probably the most infamous castle in the world and was the inspiration for Disneys signature castle. Ludwig almost put his people in total poverty trying to spend the states money on building it.

Wrong. The castle was build with private funds from Ludwig II. Poverty? Münich flourished!! He kept Bayern away from wars and many people loved him!!
