@ib422000 Glow power has it's advantages. Lightweight high capacity radio battery packs are now available that allow one to fly pretty much all day without waiting for a recharge - just refuel and go. I get 10 minute flights with the Super Tigre .45 and 8 oz. tank with decent reserve for a missed landing approach or two. Since this plane is really too large for a park flyer anyway, electric wouldn't offer me more flying locations. I'd still need a designated flying site.
Thank you. You re not only a great aeromodeller, but a gnrous person to post this video. I just received an almost built Rapture 40, and this will help me to cover it and install the electronics. I'm going to pwer it with a power 40 electric brushless outrunner with a 60A ESC.
@ib422000 I have no experience with glow to electric conversions. In fact this was the first RC model kit I ever built (my others were ARF's). I've had plenty of experience with static models and model rocketry though. I'm sure that helped. Check my other vids to see it fly. I have the maiden and a few other nice flights here - including a tricky crosswind landing.
I can't believe not one person has converted this plane to electric in the whole world, ad made a video of it.
Your great video makes me want to keep the plane nitro powered, as much as I don't like the mess!!

The builder did an incredible job, and the video production quality is truely professional. Congratulations!
