However it is difficult to support the argument that they are TOTALLY different.While I am very fond of American bulldogs, I will say, that based on 30 years experience with Amstaffs,and Pitbulls-that pound for pound there is no other dog that close in strength. pulling power and bite pressure. @sbd45acp I disagree with pulling power American Bulldogs lead the pulling world as of late. Bite pressure mastiff bite twice as hard. Game nothing has game like pitbulls and the only breed to come close is american bulldogs. Game is will power to never quit that is why APBT are so great at fighting.

@Swingarwolf1 You obviously know nothing about the APBT breed. They weren't crossed with hounds for the prey drive. APBT were bred to be DA (dog aggressive) but were also killed if they were HA (human aggressive). You obviously need a lesson in the breed. Game bred pit bulls are TRUE APBT that aren't crossed like the Am.Bullies and have a naturally high prey drive hence why they are often used for hog hunting.

@CutieInTheAltima I never once said APBT... I said pitbull which encompasses a large group of of breeds along with mixed breeds its a type where as APBT is a breed. I do not need a lesson in the breed because i have owned plenty, and yes they were bred that way originally but they also used to be americas mascot, they were nanny dogs, and all of the APBT that i have had have been great with other animals with the right amount of training... I know the difference between a bully and a ABPT

@Swingarwolf1 Well fighting pit bulls were APBT. Back in the day before people started fucking up the breed by mixing it around with every other P.O.S dog. I have 4 game bred OFRN APBT that will run CIRCLES around any dog I have come across. They will take down a hog in no time,come home,get cleaned up,and be a family pet. However, your wrong again. Certain dogs have fight in thier blood,no matter how much training you do sometimes you cannot fight genetics.
