Some developers did make a 2nd part but... it sucked pretty bad. I remember playing this a lot on my 486 25mhz... 8mb ram. It says a lot higher reqs on the box but it worked fine on that rig.

i have a question about this game. do the newer diagnostic rooms cancel out the older ones? like if you have an ultrascan, do you need x-ray, blood machine, etc? or if you have a scanner, do you need x-ray, cardiogram, gen. diagnosis, etc? which are essential? thanks

@freddyfingerr as far as i remember, they don't, you still need those machines unless you've fully researched a disease.only then it will decrease the number of diagnostic machines he will go thru.

I first played this game from a PC Gamer demo disc back in 1997. I thankfully found this game at a store way back when and enjoyed it! While I am a HUGE SimCity series fan, Theme Hospital is a very close second as far as best all-time sim games I've played. It was a little frustrating at times. I have had the same problem in Theme Hospital then as I do with SimCity 4 now- relying on loans. I remembered getting up to the fifth level in Theme Hospital. MANY memories!
