I cut them two short that time, but you'll notice that tail feathers will get ratty and break over time and also tail feathers take up load space and can be a pain. Channing Pollock, Cantu, and Shimada never produced birds with long tail feathers. Also tail length really doesn't effect the flying. A bird with medium length will fly as well as one with long ones.
