This is very hard to watch- I worked there for a period. The hospital was in good repair and the people who worked there were outstanding up to the closing day. To see a place that was one of the states best - look like this is sad. I am proud as many who worked here, to have taken care of many people. We have a bond that will be ours forever, even when the building is gone.

Well I was born in and raised in Lakeville, my family still resides there and has for many many decades! I know my grandfather shot the biggest deer in the state there before the hospital was built. That Hospital has been an eye sore since about 20 years after it was built! NOT sickness, nor any other BS reason is why they have not done anything with it!! It is all a result of a poorly run government and for that they should all spend an eternity in hell!!

I lived across the street from Lakeville hosp in 94-96 The house I used to live in is now Yellow and some kind of business I was 14-15 w/ absolutly nada to do needless to say my lil' bro and I explored. At that time there wasnt really any security so it made it very easy to explore. We only went to the white blds to the right of the main structure. They windows were boarded up and big. We went inside and there were sheets and beds papers all over. Its a creepy place I drove by it just yesterday

It seems like a parking lot because it is gravel, and not just dirt but i could be wrong. However the parking lot turns into a huge open field which leads to the hospital. It's weird, but I'm sure it's all for when when demolition commences :( I have seen a bulldozer there in the lot though. Anyways have you been in the buildings?

Hey man, what have you heard about this place being haunted, because when my friends and I were in the building towards the back ( the children's ward I believe) I started hearing little noises and told my friends to stop moving. We did for like 10 seconds and then from down the hall there was this noise where it sounded like something small dropped, and the something really heavy fell almost sounding like a wooden plank. I swear to god, alecsull lakeviile hospital revisited has the noise in it.

Hey, this video is so cool, it made me want to go there and i did. I went with alecsull ( he has a video on it as well ). To be honest it is creepy, but ive been there a handful of times now, so its not as bad. There is only one security guard at a time, and they do change shifts. If youre going to go, do it when its raining because the guard probably wont walk around, he will drive which can be easily dodged. we have been caught once, but we werent in the building(thankgod) he told us to leave

Yeah I dont think this place is going anywhere anytime soon. I live in Lakeville, and me and my sister walked through the grounds last summer. We looked in the windows, it was really creepy. But when we were back there we saw someone walking and it freaked us out so we left. It is a weird place though.

according to town gossip they couldn't decide about the water so they stopped the project. this place is gonna still stand for a long time. it's a shame. i'd love to go in there and take pics and vids but the town said there was so much disease and bacteria in there, that's why no one is allowed in.

loved the video jeanette!! But just to clear things upthere are no buildings quarantined because of TB on the property. The airborne bacteria that causes TB can only survive up to 6 weeks without a host. The hospital has security there because of the curiosity factor. Its such a cool place..who wouldnt want to check it out?! Unfortunately, people vandalize and further damage the property.

Gale Perkins who was a patient at Lakeville for 12 years as a child and she wrote about her stay there in her book, "The Baby's Cross". it is almost impossible they really watch that place because one of the buildings there contain an airborne tuberculosis and it really spreads quickly but thankfully they have a cure for it now if it ever happends. thats why they havent torn it down yet because they have to quarantine that building.
