@dreamz20091 mine got a little bit higher, but mostly just clearer. You wont sound like a woman or anything. Its a slight difference. For me it was for the better.
@JesusPrncess its worth it. i can breath so much better, and swallow fluids well. i have no pain and havnt had a sore throat at all since then. Youll feel better soon <3
I am on day 3, and this has BY FAR been the worst day in terms of pain for me. Unlike you, I have had no nausea or vomitting at all, but my throat feels a stabbing pain. My uvula is HUGE and i keep getting mucus stuck in my throat from all the ice cream and I have trouble breathing. PLEASE tell me if it gets better or if it is worth it! I also want to know if you think today, Day 3, will be my worst day or if I have much more pain to come... thanks :) hope everything is doing good for you!
@Headgrumble i really have no idea. im not a doctor or anything :/ I would ask your doctor and if they think it will work for you they should set up the sepecialist appointment. good luck!
Hey can tonsillectomy help me with my tonsil stones removal, i mean it will remove it forever ? I have it on right side of my throat for about 1 year and everytime i clean it , after few days i see another going out from some small hole, and today it started to come out from my left side but its much smaller than from right side, and sometimes i have bad breath but it's not painful and it's not that big in my throat. (Sorry for bad English) :/
Just got mine out today. No nausea or vomiting. I'm on hydrocodone and amoxicillin. They always say it's worse if you're older. I'm 50 and it's been really smooth so far. I'll see how it feels after the scabs start to come off in a few days.
@aquamarien2 Aww well looking back i think it was totally worth it for me. I dont sound like a man anymore!! :P I think you will be okay, eat lots of icecream and take whatever pain medication they give you. Good luck! <3
Thanks for sharing your experience! I had that surgery when I was 8 years old. I've heard it's harder on adults and it sounds like you had a good recovery! Congratulations on your graduation and I hope you're successful in your continued studies!
@Kaylin011: Well Im 2 and a half weeks in now. My throat hurts when I yawn but other than that I feel okay. My voice still randomly cracks, but Im pretty happy with how I feel now.
i am 11 days post op and i can relate to your experience.. the pain was soo excruciating and i too threw up the second night. however my recovery seems a lot more lengthy than yours and my voice still isn't completely back to normal. After seeing your video i feel optimistic about recovery :)
I had the butt needle too! 5 k basins of puke and half a bottle of codeine after having my adenoids out later and it was finally getting better (so I know how you feel XD) Glad you're feeling better! Speedy recovery :3
Love your makeup! And excuse my rude assumption, but some ways you pronounce words makes me think you're Canadian. So lucky with your healthcare system, Canada.
Ugh, it was awful. I threw up so much I overflowed the sick bucket they give you and this poor, poor student nurse looked like she was going to throw up and had to hold 3 kidney dishes up to my face!
and I have to have another one O_O
My brother had his tonsils out! Sore throats are terrible, every time I get one I feel like staying under the covers, so goodness knows how you felt.
you and me are like the exact same thing!!!!!!! i got mine taken out yesterday!!!
